I have always gotten a clean car, a recent year model, and with the domestic brands you even get satellite radio which is always a plus. The staff here has always been very friendly and accommodating to me. I know them well as I rent from here often. I will be coming back for as long as I need a car rental.

When I said I didn't keep the keys, he interrogated me as to where I put them. Flustered and annoyed he said he would figure it out and call me back. There wasn't much to figure out, as I had dropped the car off as anyone would. Of course, he never called back to offer an explanation or to apologize. I found this terribly unprofessional. Get your shit together and don't involve me in your unorganized mess. Also, I reserved a Toyota Yaris or similar as I was doing highway driving and didn't want to guzzle a lot of fuel. To their credit they managed to find another vehicle an hour later (again) via a totally different car rental place at the U-haul down the street. If you return a car out of hours, it's as simple as filling out the return section on your rental contract and dropping it in the key return box in the parking garage, along with the car keys. I have rented here for 6 years and have never had a problem, and the staff are friendly and prompt. Yes, the prices are higher than other rental companies but I guess you pay for convenience. Pro tip: If you are looking for a cheaper alternative, check out Bloor & Sherbourne. Their prices are lower but their hours are basically 9-5 with no after hours return facility. Fine if you have parking in your building (unlike me). Avis and Budget are owned by the same company so there is no difference other than the price - they even use the same cars!

However the owner came onto the location and was very accommodating, he made sure to match my price rate with CAA and create an identical reservation. The second issue was that there were no cars at the location, we were at, the owner personally drove me to another location, on Main st east in a very nice jeep. When we arrived they had found that they still needed to clean the freshly returned car before it could be rented to me. As a show of compassion he immediately upgraded me to the very same jeep he drove me in, at the matches rate originally quoted to me by CAA and apologized for the hassle. All in all, the owner, Steve, could have simply turned me away and referred me to another franchise, but instead he took it upon himself to create a path for me to rent this car, a random customer.
