When I used to work in Woodland I'd occasionally stop in here for some Thrifty Ice Cream scoops. Located next to the Starbucks on West Main. Their Drive-Through Pharmacy was listed as a site for Covid-19 Testing through the Project Baseline webpage when you select the city of Woodland. I had a good experience with Project Baseline recently at the Cal Expo Sacramento testing site but had no openings, and this Woodland Rite-Aid had available appointment slots so I booked a re-test for 01/10/21 for work. I believe you can also make appointments directly through the Rite Aid website. Arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment time and there was one vehicle ahead of me, who I observed was also doing a Covid test. When it was my turn, the lady behind the window had to sterilize the drawer/countertop, etc. before she could help me. Was I there for a Covid test? Yes. Name and D.O.B. provided, she had to check my ID via me holding it up to the window. Then she said the pharmacist would be with me. There is a graphic/diagram taped to the window showing how to do the self-swab as well. The pharmacist asked if I'd done a self swab before, and provided the sterile swab and labeled tube through the drawer. Open the swab, tilt head back and swab/hold 15 seconds each nostril (he counted 15 seconds out loud over the speaker) as far back as you can. This was a little more awkward than the Cal Expo test because I had to then uncap the tube and put the swab in, break off the handle and recap myself. As a lab scientist myself I would have preferred gloves or a tray for that step, but oh well. Results should be in 1-3 days. read more

The store was looking pretty empty! I know the warehouse house closed here locally, but the store shouldn't be empty, services were still great! No problem getting scrips, and beer, in and out, just missing the vibe.... read more

Rite Aid is by far the best pharmacy of the Big 3 (CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid). It is always clean. There is a lot of turnover at the store it seems, but for the most part the cashiers are polite. The current pharmacist is really good with people and the department seems well run in particular. Getting the Covid booster was pretty easy. No store is perfect, but the cleanliness and overall polite attitude of the workers has made it my go to pharmacy for the past decade. read more

This review is just for the drive-thru pharmacy covid testing. I made an appointment online. The drive-thru window is at the back of the store. No one was waiting when I arrived. I pressed the call button and not long after someone came to the window. I gave her my confirmation code and showed her my driver's license. She confirmed the appointment and told me that the pharmacist would help me shortly. I did end up waiting about five minutes (with the person who checked me in returning to let me know that the pharmacist was doing a consult and would be with me soon) In the meantime one other vehicle pulled in behind me. The pharmacist appeared, put the wrapped swab and a sealed tube with a liquid in it on a glass tray and pushed it through the slot. I grabbed the whole thing and was told to leave the glass tray in the slot. She guided me through administering the test myself, letting me know when to switch nostrils (15 seconds in each) and told me to open the tube, put the swab in, and break off the extra portion of the stick so the tube could be sealed. I had trouble breaking the swab at the score mark but eventually it came off and I could seal the tube. Back in the drawer it went and I was on my way. I received my results in under 23 hours (processed by Quest Diagnostics, not RiteAid) Simple, convenient and now i am less nervous about getting the test done before a trip abroad and receiving results within the requirements. read more

I came for a Covid test since I had been exposed and had symptoms. I made the appointment online and everything seemed good to go. When I arrived I showed them my information and my confirmation code. She said I wasn't in the system and told me to book it again online and so I did. Again it wasn't in their system. They told me to contact the testing company call center but it was closed on weekends. After mentioning this and stressing how important it was that I got tested they turned me away. Through this entire process the pharmacy representative was very rude and dismissive of me. This whole process was around 2 hours and I had to drive an hour round trip because it was the closest PCR testing location open on weekends. I can't express how upsetting this experience was as I was trying to see if I had exposed my elderly grandparents and know whether I had Covid. read more

Came for a flu shot but left frustrated. Had to wait in prescriptions line twice for over 30 mins w coughing people. Very confused staff.

Regarding the Pharmacy...My mother is 83 years old and she first called me about a week and a half ago because when she called to check on her meds the girl who was new according to my mom started yelling at her. I couldn't help it and called and spoke with Phillip the manager I told him that it is absolutely inexcusable for anyone there to yell at anyone...he said that it was not acceptable and that he had just had a meeting with everyone about customer service. He was very nice at first and even offered to take my mom her medicine, which he did and she was thrilled. I must say unfortunately it was very short lived. Let me also say that my mom is amazing and she is sharp as a tack and keeps exceptional track of all her medicine. Today she noticed that one of the medicine she was shortchanged on from the pharmacy and she called Phillip and he said very rudely "well it comes from the manufacturer, so you probably used more than you thought!" That made me so angry...to accuse my mother of taking something that would kill her more than she thought. Note to Phillip!!!! MANUFACTURERS MAKE MISTAKES JUST LIKE PHARMACIES ALL THE TIME!!!! I don't know how many "manufacturers" have left things out of boxes and shortchanged me over the years quality control is not perfect. He should have said I am sorry let me check with the manufacturer and I can get back with you...NO he accused her of lying! If you want your team to have better customer service...you must set the example! Needless to say my mom after many over 16 years at Rite Aid is going somewhere else where kindness will take place so she doesn't have to be yelled at or called a liar. Rite Aid your reviews show there are problems like this you should put more words into actions~ read more

I don't know why I keep going back to this Rite Aid. 90% of the time, the cashiers range from just unfriendly and uninterested in their job to flat out rude. Today was the last straw. I was trying to use my HSA debit card. I asked the cashier if I needed to pay for the medication separately from the water I was also buying or if it would separate the payments automatically. She said, "I have no idea how those work." No smile, no offer to find out, nothing but a blank stare. I tried it and it declined. I asked if she could take the medication off to ring it up separately and she did. She then had to call a manager to void it. He, unlike her, was friendly. He apologized for the wait with a smile while she still stood there with no emotion, like a statue. She rang it up separately and it still didn't go through so I just paid with my regular debit card. I looked at the receipt and told her it's because it's not coded as a medication and she just continued to stare blankly. This is not the worst interaction with a cashier here, not by a long shot, but I finally needed to say something. This is being sent to corporate, too. read more

A manager here was so rude to be (summer 2014) that I refuse to shop here now. Basically accused me of switching price tags on items to get a cheaper price. It was a total of like $10 in duct tape and about a $4 difference so they lost a customer over $4 and rudeness. The only thing here I support now is the ice cream but usually not the woodland store and only if my small child asks for rainbow Sherbert. If not we go to somewhere else. read more

It's a Rite Aid...it has lots of things, conveniently located next to lots of other things. There may also be stuff. Quite possibly junk as well. Snarky doofy-ness aside, the girl behind the pharmacy counter was genuinely pleasant and very patient with my mother and her coupons so they seem to have customer service down well. read more

My first visit to the newest Rite Aid of Woodland, was a good experience. For fun, I thought to ask a customer rep where something was located. They pointed to the isle what I needed could be found. I was then off to hunt it down. After picking up said item, I proceeded to check around to see what the rest of the store looked like. It looked pretty well maintained and clean since opening recently. Checking out was ok, two people were helping since it wasn't too busy. I'd come back again, as it made getting what I needed quick. read more

The pharmacy is horrible I will not be returning. Every time I have a rx to pick up it's always something and they never have my Insurance on file even though I have given it to the them multiple times. Rx are never ready in a timely manner even after they send you a text that they are ready. read more

Transferred prescriptions from another Rite Aide. They handled the details, worked through the difficulties with workers comp insurance and were helpful and courteous throughout. RECOMMENDED read more

Pharmacy is horrid. Go anywhere but here. They take forever. Mess up orders and are rude as hell. I've tried multiple times and it's been pretty much all bad. Talked to a woman named Chris in the pharmacy and she was one of the rudest customer service people I've encountered in a long while. read more

George was so mean, what is the point when you are working as customer service and u told the customer that she/he wasted your time, isn't that customer always right, you get pay to do your job, help them, you disappointed me George, you was my favorite before :(. 2 stars because the other girl was helping me and she was nicer than George, otherwise 0 star. Compare with Walgreens, He needs to learn how to treat customers better. read more

After waiting for an hour for my insurance to clear they filled one prescription. I noticed that only one had been filled then had to come back and ask for the other medication they then told me that I had to come back in another 15 minutes. The most horrible service. They need better communication when transferring insurance. I was in a lot of pain. read more

This pharmacy is horrid. It doesn't seem to matter how far ahead I place the refill order, they are never ready when I go there to pick them up. This month I was told that a prescription ordered over 24 hours before that was supposed to be ready at 11 am was not ready at 1:30 pm, but to come back in 90 minutes. I came back and was told to come back in two hours, That's when I became really bitchy. ;-) After dealing with it for nearly two years now... I'm moving my current prescription and any future ones to a different pharmacy. I'm done with this pharmacy, and I'd recommend that anyone out there avoid it as well. read more

I dropped off my prescription and waited 40 mins just to find out the pharmacist/supervisor did not even read and did not give me my full prescription. Terrible service from the pharmacy area the lady was very rude for not giving me both my medications. I as a customer rely on pharmacists to know what they are doing, because that's what they studied for. I had to get a refund to go to a different pharmacy. Never coming back. read more

Maybe on a good day they may earn one star. It seems they are incredibly inconsistent in their pharmacy. One day they didn't open until very late because they didn't have a pharmacist. Another time they refused to dispense cough syrup prescribed to me because my husband had the same prescription and they used some idiotic excuse about two prescriptions not being in the same house. That required phone calls to my insurance, my doctor, and another rousing round of reading Rite Aid the riot act about their responsibility to dispense individual prescriptions to individual people and not to households. This included explaining that appropriate levels of medical care includes dispensing the drugs that are prescribed by medical personnel. Today, they refused to dispense the drug they refilled because I needed to wait two more days. Never mind they authorized the refill. Nope I was told by the person "serving" the window that I simply didn't understand and she goes back thru my prescription history telling me all my renewal dates. Yup I understand but you are violating HIPAA by yelling this thru the speaker at the drive thru window. Rite Aid not impressed. I liked Walmart way better where there were never any problems. read more

What a garbage pharmacy, I have been here twice to pick up a prescription but they never have it. A simple inhaler apparently they "need to fill" even after they call me to tell me it's ready "apparently they can't hold on to it" for a week as I only have time to go to the pharmacy on the weekends. Changing pharmacy now read more

Worst pharmacy ever. They take forever with prescriptions and have the worst customer service. Sent in a Rx this morning at 11:00am; it is now 5:30pm and it's not ready yet. Really????? For an antibiotic???? Well. This is the last time I come to this awful backward pharmacy. read more

I have been going to this pharmacy for several years. Most of the time it is relatively easy to pick up medications and the permanent staff is exceptional. It becomes an issue when there are guest customer service staff members. They (most) lack common sense in multiple areas, for example, reading prescriptions out loud for everyone to hear, or at one point I had a "pharmacist" raise her voice loudly and snapped at me regarding a new prescription. I had just gotten out of the ER after a surgery complication and really didn't need her to embarass me. There were several people around as well. It was horrible. read more

This pharmacy has the worst customer service and do not fill your maintenance medications on time. Therefore, if you are on medications that you take on a regular basis, I would recommend going with another pharmacy that invest in better service. For example, they will not fill your prescription until you get there even though you call their automated system a week in advance. They have a drive thru to pick up prescriptions but will tell you to come inside and wait because they don't have your medications that you called in a week ago (so that you don't hold up the line but it's okay for you to wait and have to come back behind the long line of cars). You can never depend that they are a second check to your doctor's prescription because you are just a number to them. One time my doctor sent a prescription for a non-controlled sleeping medication and she inadvertently put in 1 pill instead of 30 and this pharmacy charged me for a regular co-pay. I did not realize the error until I got home and was getting ready to take the medication. When I took it back, they tried to blame me and said that I should have gotten a consult and would have caught it before I left. Really? What happened to actually using critical thinking skills and call the doctor's office to confirm a script that doesn't look right. Needless to say, pharmaceutical is a big business and I'm taking mine somewhere else. read more
