Without the straw, it honestly tasted great, so that was disappointing. On a positive note, the staff really stood out. The cashiers were kind and welcoming, and I later noticed they had written a small note on my cup. I did not see it until after I left, but it was such a thoughtful touch and definitely made me smile. So overall, good drink and great service, but the straw situation took away from what could have been a really solid experience.

This location is right off the freeway on Mace Blvd. across the street from 7/11 & in the same parking lot as a local grocery store. They've got walk-in and plenty of parking, or drive-thru too. This spot must do insane business as it's right off the freeway, in a strip mall with a grocery store as the anchor store, & has plenty of space to sit and hang. They've got a lot of places inside and out to eat/drink/relax at. Service here was fast and had a really nice staff greeting you as well.

What made this even more unacceptable is the context. This location sits near a professional and medical center in a fairly isolated area, where options are extremely limited. It's hard not to feel like that convenience--and near-monopoly on access--is being taken advantage of. Denying something as basic as water or ice, especially when a customer is willing to pay, feels less like policy and more like profit over people. To make matters worse, there was zero attempt at customer care. Effort to help me navigate the situation was lacking--she could have recommend the cheapest possible item so I could still get what I needed. Just a rigid refusal. For a global company that prides itself on customer experience and community, this interaction felt cold, dismissive, and completely out of touch. Refusing such a basic request sends a very clear message: customer needs come second to squeezing every possible dollar--even in situations where a little humanity would go a long way. I had my dog with me, who is a service dog. As I walked in, the man working there said to me, "Hey you can't have that dog in here." I turned to him with a smile and said, "Oh she's a service dog." Because I understand that they have the right to ASK me if she is a service dog. He then proceeded to say where is her tag? I said she is a service dog, and by California Law you are only allowed to ask me, 1) if she is a service dog. 2) what her service to me is. And she is a service dog, and she provides me with anxiety support. He then had me come around the side to show me a piece of paper that says that service animals are permitted in the store. I read the sign aloud to him, because I genuinely assumed he may not read English since he thought it said she had to have documents. And again he told me to get out of the store. I started getting anxious (hence the anxiety support dog!) and continued telling him that I would report him to the better business bureau and to Yelp and he told me and my husband to get the hell out! I almost in tears, left and went to Chevron where we were welcomed to come in and the clerk there, even consoled me for what had happened. I will NEVER buy gas or anything else from this Quick Stop.
