I use patches and creams and nerve meds also, and it is sad when it takes day to get medication filled!! I am one that will stretch medication because I don't like to take them but it sucks when I wait to long and I need them... this pharmacy either has a pharmacist that doesn't think you really need them or just puts you on the back burner and tells you that because they have more customers that need the same medication they have to fill them before mine!!! Wtf!! Fill them when you get them!!! My DR sent it to you do t wait two or three days for others to come in.. Walgreens used to be the only place we as Military family would go to and now we are going to report them to our insurance company. I have been shorted medication or get half pills and then they tell me I'm lying! I am a pharmacy tech by trade and though I can no longer work I keep my license up and I have ethics, and there is no way I would ever jeopardize my license. Here is just an example in this picture. You can see where I counted them back out just to make sure this was an order. I just picked up. Counted them twice just to confirm that I was shorted one pill it was half exactly half how can that be? It was like it was cut in half and given it to me so where is the other half? Is it in the bottle now these pills have to be signed off by two people your Pharmacy tech and then your pharmacist also has to count them out so they have to be counted twice and signed for by your pharmacist so he should have caught this and correct it. Always count your pills.

I called my insurance company. It is covered and as usual, it was incorrectly submitted by CVS pharmacy. The Blue Shield rep was on hold with the pharmacy for 20 minutes and told me she would call me back. CVS once told me that my needles weren't covered which I thought was odd. I paid cash and found out later that they were covered. Why cover insulin with no way to administer it? CVS screwed up an INSULIN prescription. Unbelievable.

CVS, over the course of almost three weeks, refused to release the Rx to Walmart. The Walmart pharmacy staff were helpful and persistent. They informed me that, despite multiple transfer requests, CVS kept 'denying' the transfer. After an in-person visit to the CVS pharmacy - where I was told I was "out of refills" (not true; I had two left) - and my doctor's office, and a pharmacist-to-pharmacist phone call, the issue was finally resolved but not without great inconvenience and frustration.

On any given visit, I see more people outside in line for the Redbox than I do inside the store. Apparently it's the preferred form of entertainment for those in the area.

I came in to get my flu shot because just about every pharmacy I called only had the flu shot for 65 and older folks. The pharmacist, and techs were all so friendly. They were extremely nice and helpful, and even offered a discount on my shot for 21 dollars, regular price was 31.99. So don't forget to ask for the discount card when you come in. The shot was PAINLESS!! I couldn't believe it. My total wait time from stepping in was about 20 min.

Have I experienced a delay in getting prescriptions? Of course, but communication, patience and kindness help get what I need. I take a few medications daily so I visit this CVS location's pharmacy staff 1-2 times per month for refills and appreciate how they make these visits effortless. They make sure to educate me about my CVS and Caremark app and medication info. Suggestion: If you're having difficulty getting your meds filled, I suggest reaching out to your health insurance company and asking for a pharmacy benefits rep. They should assist with reviewing your benefits, contacting your doctor's office if a prior authorization is needed, and contact the pharmacy to assist you in getting your medications. I've found that calmly explaining the situation works better than shrieking or berating. As for the retail side, I used to makeup shop at CVS stores because the coupons and deals were great. Then the pandemic happened, so I stopped wearing makeup and grew my eyebrows back so I don't really shop for makeup anymore. I'll use CVS coupons to buy medical items as needed, but most items are a little too expensive for me these days. Other than that, I appreciate my CVS store, especially my pharmacy team. Not the case as all. I feel like an outcast and every time I go in to pick up my prescription, it seems like no one is available to help and that they are always busy, however the "busy" is just pacing back and forth making it look like they are doing something. They will walk right up to the counter just to make sure they ignore you. They are definitely not short staff. No one greets you in any aspect and are not friendly at all. Even the pharmacist looks at you as if they are judging you. And their technology is so out of date it is ridiculous. I will definitely be looking for a new pharmacist. This definitely does not have the small town of Exeter friendliness that I am used to.
