The pharmacy needs help. We've had recent issues getting standard prescriptions on time and long waits even after doing the online refill request and calling ahead trying to get prescriptions filled prior to having someone go down to pick it up. I am disabled and cannot pick up my own prescription so I have caregivers (friends and family) travel here from other towns to help with pick up. It is really bad when I have kind people take the time to help me and then they experience issues while at the pharmacy. Rite Aid, please remember that some people who use the pharmacy are very sick and need these medications just to be ok. The stress of the medication I need not being filled on time is not beneficial to my health. After 7 years of coming to this rite aid, I am changing to a pharmacy across town. Please give this rite aid the staffing and training and support they need to successfully work with the sick and disabled in our community. read more

I asked a worker if they carried saline solution (Sodium Chloride) for inhalation via nebulizer, they told me to ask the pharmacist. I went and asked the pharmacist, they told me to go ask a worker. All I could find on my own were saline solutions for nasal rinses, not what I needed. I left and tried CVS; same exact level of customer support. Nobody had a clue. Well, since my criticism they have change things around. Some more polite employees. They have been answering the phone when possible and the mean-spirited energy has evaporated. If it were possible to give a pharmacy, zero stars, I would do it. The pharmacy was not open for two hours, and no one could reach the pharmacist who was supposed to be on duty. His phone was turned off. I had to reroute my sons, emergency room meds to another pharmacy. I am finished with Rite Aid, it's pharmacy, and it will never have any more of my business. read more

UPDATE... I have contacted the number as advised by the person that apologized for the horrific treatment that I received and who wanted to "FIX THIS PROBLEM" on my google review but that number was to a regular customer service number which was all automated and then hung up on me! Also, Today I had the Displeasure of speaking with Tiffany at this location! I don't know why these people cannot afford to be decent and helpful or why they try so incredibly hard to make up excuses to NOT DO THEIR JOBS, but it is almost comical at this point! Before moving here, I had been going to the same pharmacy where they treat me and my family like family and do everything they can for us but here Tiffany refused to bother to tell me that I needed an authorization for a medication I have been taking for 20 years and just kept repeating herself like a damn robot, talking over me, the same words, IT IS JUST NOT COVERED! It wasn't until I asked her specifically why she didn't tell me that my doctor could do an authorization for this medication, that she finally agreed to that well known fact! She tried so hard to NOT DO HER JOB! If she put just half that effort into doing her job, she'd probably be pretty good at it and worth her salary! It didn't stop there, ....When I asked for the pharmacy manager's name and contact email information, she got every single worker there to join in the conversation as she was very upset that I told her that per the free Records Act and Freedom of information act, this information is supposed to be given upon request, she yelled at me that she would not give her co-worker's information out to "the likes of me" and then hung up on me! These employees need to be trained on this law. Now I have to submit a 2nd complaint regarding them not following this law to the State Secretary's Office who supervises this law! Again, more unnecessary work for ME BECAUSE THEY CANNOT AND WILL NOT DO THEIR JOBS!. Now if I get another message from someone trying to Fix this issue, PLEASE provide me with a working phone number or email for YOU personally as I don't think it is fair for me to have to search for you on the 800 customer service phone number! I would also like to state that this is my Official Complaint and I am requesting now that Rite Aid and any agents thereof, PRESERVE AND KEEP the audio recordings of any of my phone calls with Rite Aid on this day, July 7, 2022 and provide me with a copy for my records. This is very unfortunate and now that I have been treated so poorly, I will follow through with every single Regulatory Agenc(ies) that oversee the professional business practices of Rite Aid and Affiliates. To be clear, I am still requesting to be contacted back regarding this ongoing matter. Thank You! Had the displeasure of speaking with pharmacist Lisa today who was gave me false information in order to expedite the phone call and when she was called on it, she said nothing but said that if I had questions about this NEW medication then I should just look it up online! So, wouldn't that make her job obsolete? On top of that she was rude, had no information about the drug to which we were discussing, and lied to me to get me off the phone and so she wouldn't have to do her job! I am new to this pharmacy but I am very dissatisfied with the way I was treated. I had my last pharmacy for 20 years and I could at bare minimum count on them to do their jobs! I miss them so much, I wish I didn't move! I really hope that a superior disciplines and trains this pharmacist because it's a scary thing to have to have to consult google instead of your pharmacist regarding life saving medications that are NEW And UNKNOWN to you! read more

Pharmacy is horrible. How many times do you have to ask me my name and bring me back up to the counter to send me right back to a seat. Told them i was paying out of pocket and went round and a round all for a flu shot. Place is ridiculous and had to leave before I stroked out. read more

13 days later since my last review and nothing has changed. I don't understand how Rite Aid corporate can keep a place so damn under staffed. I stood there in line for a good half hour and there was only one person working the register in the pharmacy. I watched 4-5 leave because they were waiting over 5 minutes and they got over it just left the line. I noticed a line in the front of the store with only one person working and a full line too. But for some reason there's a sign for now hiring right in front of the door. So Rite Aid hire some people or else no one will want to go in there. Maxwell Village is an odd strip mall. Along with a fancy Asian restaurant, a good UPS store, and a tiny Lucky, they have a big, beautiful Rite Aid. It's one of the nicer Rite Aids that I've been to. Be sure to shop the sales. The cashier was very friendly, so the line moved fast. Pros- Good selection of stationery&cards. Got some Argo iced tea on sale, now chilling. Items were mostly stocked. The beauty section is beautiful. They have obviously updated it. The service is fine. Cons- "Convenience" stores tend to be pricey. Some of the sections seemed to be picked bare. Nobody was at their Thrifty ice cream shop attending to it. I was tempted to get a lovely California coast souvenir book with picturesque photos of Pt. Reyes NS, the redwoods, Fort Ross, the Sea Ranch chapel. read more

I am a 67 yr old lady with terminal brain cancer. My doctor wanted me to get a covid booster, he gave me a letter to take with me. Made an appointment with rite aid in Sonoma. My husband took me in as I'm in a wheelchair and need help with taking me. Although I have terminal cancer I can talk and follow a conversation just fine. The lady at the pharmacy just ignored me and said she needed my insurance card. Her name is Robin as she handed my husband a clipboard to fill out a form. I gave her my United health card. She said she needed a rx card. I did not have the card I always use as well as telling us I m losing my appointment time. No matter what she wanted, I gave her as well as a drs letter stating how s s Oc I was and how low my white blood count. Making a long story short, the store manager told the pharmacist to give me my booster. Robin continued to talk about me with who ever would listen to her! The manager told us they have a lot of complaints about her! Horrible customer and we will go to another town in the future. On a different note I thought Biden is always saying it doesn't matter what insurance people have. We get the Covid vaccine/Booster vaccine at no cost. We have had the same insurance (38 plus years) and never once had an issue like this! Stay away from this pharmacy,she is horrible and belittles people that are really sick read more

This store is ok for makeup or candy. Signed in online for covid vaccine, arrived on time. The pharmacy aide wanted my insurance, ID, vaccine record although I'd given it online. After a 40 minute wait I asked what was happening. The pharmacist had forgotten the appointment and called a staff meeting. Further 10 minute wait. He argued with me about needing the vaccine. Finally told me the shot was ready and gave it to me. I waited 15 minutes during which some aide walked by and without making eye contact said I hadn't "thanked the Vaccinator". Yeah, she got that right. I went to leave the store and discovered the Vaccinator hadn't given my vaxx card back. The front of the store called the back. No answer. Five minute wait. The clerk suggested I walk back and ask. The Vaccinator admitted he'd lost it. Totally unprofessional. read more

Rite Aid is a great place to buy ice cream. They still have the ice cream stand, where you can buy a reasonable scoop of Ice-cream in a cup or on a cone. Rite Aid does a great job listing food allergies in each ice cream flavor such as egg, soy, nuts etc.. The staff are very friendly and the lines are short. Rite Aid is a great place to stop at after playing miniature golf two doors down. The only suggestion I have is for Rite Aid to switch from plastic spoons to bamboo like Ben & Jerry's, it is more environmental and cost efficient. read more

This Rite Aid is okay. Staff is friendly and usually merchandise is easy to find. Rite Aid like other drug store outlets has specials, coupons and weekly ad flyers. The only thing I was disappointed about the last time I was at Rite Aid was the photo service. Rite Aid got my photo order mixed up. If you just want a few photos printed, go to CVS. They have a better kiosk system and it allows you to print out your selected prints in seconds, not hours or days, like this place. Other than that this Rite Aid location is pretty good. They have good deals on flowers and plants. read more

There's a reason this pharmacy gets a two star rating and it's probably because of Tiffany. I have been trying to get my prescription for over a week since I got hurt but I work too much to make it here when they are actually open so I called in 15 minutes before they close and was told that it wasn't enough time to fill a small prescription that they should have filled and had waiting for me in the first place. Rather than do the right thing and fill the prescription because I told her I can't pick it up and have nobody else to pick it up for me she decided to argue with me for 15 minutes telling me her general feelings about how she feels about filling prescriptions rather than actually doing her job. Absolutely disgusting way to handle the situation. She also lied saying that it wasn't filled and was returned because it was more than 12 days which is a total lie and then she had to backtrack and apologize and then make up another excuse why it wasn't filled. Would have been nice to have a good experience here as the store is a good location but Tiffany needs to be replaced with somebody who actually cares. Thanks for nothing Tiffany! read more

My mother is a terminally ill patient with a glioblastoma. Her UCSF doctor told us to make an appointment for a Covid vaccine booster since her immunity is low due to the chemo therapy treatments. We made a 2pm appointment with the Sonoma Rite Aid pharmacy. The pharmacy worker Robin told my mom, and my dad, that they could not give her the shot because her insurance didn't cover it. My mother was upset because it is very hard for her to be out of bed as she gets tired easily. My dad called from the pharmacy asking me for help. I drove to the store and spoke to Robin personally. She flat out refused very rudely and in a disrespectful tone directed at my mother to give her a shot because she "didn't have the proper insurance". I then asked for a manager. I spoke to the manager he then called his district office and they said she absolutely does not even need insurance for this Covid vaccine, nobody Needs insurance for the Covid vaccine. Even after the district manager explained this to the manager of the store the pharmacy worker Robin continued to argue with the manager, myself, my mother, and my father. After much reluctance she gave my mom a shot 1 hour and 20 minutes after the scheduled appointment. This was a horrifying experience for my mom I think everyone needs to boycott this pharmacy. read more

AVOID PHARMACY at all cost. Go to Pharmacia or Safeway. I live here half time and will find another drug store and pharmacy to take all of our business to, as well as recommend to others. I looked for closest pharmacy to fill 2 prescriptions, this was it. Dr called it in. I called to verify they had it. ISSUES: 1.) "Yes we have the prescriptions here but we didn't process them because we didn't have insurance info. No we didn't call you to inform you of this." We won't begin processing until you are here and show us insurance card. Then you can sit and wait. Ridiculous. 2.) "Pharmacist left for his lunch" 1 minute before I arrived at 545 pm. Did not tell me this when I called. I don't need a consultation and waived it, but "he is the only person that can waive consultation. " So I sit for 30 minutes, sick. BS. 3.) Unhelpful unapologetic clerk named who clearly doesn't care about customers or give a r**ts ass. Peter Dickason the pharmacist has a similar poor attitude. read more

Went to rite aid today to see if I could find a small scraper tool to get a large sticker off my car window (it was intentional, but no longer needed). Anyway, couldn't find what I was looking for and the manager asked if I needed help. I told him what I was looking for, he said "hang on one minute" and walked off. He came back and have me a plastic tool that they use at the store to scrape price stickers off the shelves. He told me to drop it off next time I came by, or else not to worry about it. I scraped off the sticker in the parking lot (worked like a charm) and returned it instantly. I just thought it was above and beyond the call of duty that he just gave me this tool without even expecting me to return it! read more

This is without a doubt the worst pharmacy I've ever experienced. The employees are discourteous, surly and the concept of customer service is totally missing. Prescriptions are never ready when promised and they act as if it's the customer's fault and prices seem a higher than Safeway or CVS. While it's the closest to my home, I'll gladly drive a couple of miles more to a pharmacy with employees who respect their customers. read more

So let me start by saying that this rite aid location in Sonoma is a great location. The location is always clean and the employees are cheerful. One in particular is Celine over in the cosmetic dept. she help me from the beginning to the end finding what I needed to get all groomed up. She even did a face scan to show me what my face is telling me (I work a lot outside) and she pointed me to the right products to keep both my face and body in order and safe. I am so disappointed with this store. I live close, so I shop there all the time. Today, I had my hands full and didn't grab a basket. I put down a creme and grabbed a large bag of Christmas candy. I checked out to notice my scarf was missing, so after I dropped off my large bags, I ran back inside. Instead of helping me- they called security because they questioned where that creme was. I remembered that I put stuff down to grab the candy- Low-and-behold there was the creme. They asked to check my purse and my receipt. I found the creme sitting on the shelf, then I asked for help finding a large red scarf- everyone disappeared- no one helped me. They looked at me like I was trying to get away with something. I am a gold member, shop all the time, have my prescriptions there. I will Never shop there again, I am pulling my prescriptions there. How horrible that they provided no service and treated me so badly and outright rude. Never going to shop there ever again. read more

Since the store has been remodeled, the prices have gone up considerably to higher than CVS even with their member discount. Member discount is a travesty. The price one ends up paying is the norm or as I stated even higher. Also they no longer carry many of the items I used to purchase. I will no longer shop at Rite Aid but will now drive the extra miles to CVS. read more
