This review is for the pharmacy; which will sadly close July 2025 and I'm SO sad about it! Everyone at the pharmacy-- from the techs to the pharmacists--are SO nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. My medication sometimes doesn't get to the system properly, but each time the pharmacist helped me out--I didn't have to do a weird runaround thing between my doctor, insurance, etc. There is also rarely a wait, I think the longest I may have waited in my 7 years of coming here is 15 minutes. The pharmacists are rude, do not fill the prescriptions at the quoted time or even in the correct quantity. My script called for 4 bottles. She filled two. When I asked why she said "because that's the max the system allows, and you only need one a day so why are you worried about it?" Well... 1) because the script clearly says twice a day 2) because I don't want any additional visits here than necessary. I told her someone should have called if the prescription could not be filled as the Dr wrote it. Her response was to take back the two bottles and give me the prescription. This was at 5pm when I needed them for that evening. I told her she missed the point : that hours ago I could have made a different decision, that it was about being considerate to the patient. Her response was again to try to take the bottles. Bottom line: She was wrong (drops are twice a day, if she had read the script) and she was rude. This is my second experience like this here. I will never fill a script here again unless there is absolutely no other option. Driving further will be worth my time. read more

While the staff are nice and polite, this is the third worst pharmacy I've had the displeasure of using. They are constantly refilling prescriptions I didn't ask for, not notifying me for prescriptions that are ready, and tell me I have no refills when I have several left. Their systems are a complete mess, and there's not much they can, or are willing to, do about the issues. They've also given me wrong information on several occasions. read more

I have been here a few times and I think this is a relatively quiet branch that each time I visit, I have never seen more than one cashier. The cashier today is nice and friendly, but I still have to wait for her to take care of the return and 3 other people ahead of me. She is definitely busy when I visit today especially when it starts to rain. And all the self-checkout machines are not working even I want to save time, I cannot do so. The reason I like this brach is because it has ample parking lot that never seems full, the store inside is always clean and bright, and it has beers, milk, pharmacy, snacks among others. The only drawback is occasionally we see homeless outside, but they never bother me or others. The pharmacy has more people than the front cashier, and they seem to be eager to help whenever there are people around. They seem nice as well. I rarely see kids in this store and it seems mostly adults or seniors, that is also unique for this branch. Others are not like this though. Walked in on Wednesday to buy cough syrup. I got to the cold and cough aisle and found nothing, shelves were bare. I managed to find benidryl and a thermometer only. When I got to check stand, I wanted to use the self serve, but as usual the machine were not working. There was one cashier who had trouble walking manning 3 registers, no one called for backup, despite employees on the floor stocking shelves. The lines are always long and slow. Please fix you self serve machine, make sure they are running at all time and there is someone there to fix them when broken. You need more cashiers up front. read more

I am unsure of her name, but the women pharmacist here is extremely dangerous and I highly suggest going to a different pharmacy. She loses prescriptions, does not put the correct amount of medication as prescribed, refuses to refill orders, will not communicate with doctors offices and refuses to talk with patients. You shouldn't be a pharmacist if you are going mess with people's life saving medications. I highly suggest going to any other pharmacy until she is fired from here. Horrible service. I came here for a medication that my doctor called in. He called the pharmacy and confirmed that they had the medication. When I arrived, I was told that it wasn't available and then I got attitude from the pharmacist that, "Well your doctor didn't talk to me." I was told to call around and try other Rite Aids. They didn't even try to confirm another pharmacy that had the medication. In the meantime I'm feeling ill. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Bad service in the pharmacy department. You get a text that your meds are ready you come for pick up you still have to wait 1/2 hour.

Usually I've had no problems with the pharmacy. Normally I have to wait 5-10 min until my prescription is ready. This time, I was told my prescription would take 20 min. No worries, thanks for letting me know. I check in with them 45 min later and someone else tells me pick-up time isn't until 15 min. I shouldn't have to wait 1 hour for a small prescription that was called in 10 min before I even got to the pharmacy. Very unprofessional. read more

I am a physician I and advise all of my patients to use another pharmacy. They have misplaced, ignored calls and "lose prescriptions". This is after I spoke to the female pharmacist after confirming a called in prescription. There are too many other decent pharmacies in the area. I've been a guest at this Rite Aid for a few years now. While its one of the smaller Rite Aids its still really outstanding! I visit here mainly for the hair dyes, since I've been dying my hair too many colors over the years. Also ,my favorite is the huge selection of energy drinks they have . They have certain ones that I don't find at other stores. GFuel is my favorite, it wakes me up, without all the jitters! I waited till I got home to post photos of the energy drinks I bought. Always ask a store employee before you snap a photo in their store,just to be polite more than anything. The manager was very gracious , but in the end decided to snap my three cans back home. They have a lot of great snacks too. The best part is the hair coloring aisle, they have one of the best and largest selections around at reasonable prices. Service seems to be a low priority here. Seriously, you are on your own although I have heard pharmacy staff warmly greet regulars. Staffers seem more interested in management-generated tasks (e.g. restocking) and tend to leave equipment like stools, ladders in the way of shoppers (hello risk management). Checkout clerks do move the lines along though. I pop in for sundries, pain relief, makeup or supplements due to convenience alone but my prescription refill (yup, just one) is at the Beverly Hills Canon location. Flu shots available without appointment. No excuse not to get one! Large parking lot but like everywhere else be careful, watch your ride. Every time I use this RiteAid there is a problem. This time I refilled a bottle of 90 pills and for some unknown reason they only refilled 30. And they didn't bother to tell me that they were changing the quantity. Rather than fix it, I am told the pharmacist must go to lunch right now and I have to come back in an hour. Even though he is standing right there and I have already been waiting for 20 minutes for them to get the pricing straight. Aside from the fact that the pharmacist is an Eagles fan, she is kind and delightful (I'm a Patriots fan bitter over SB52). The pharmacy personnel are mostly hits, super nice and occasionally curt. But they're people. Working during a pandemic for the most entitled people on Earth - Americans. They get a break from me. All but one of the regular check out employees are polite. (No I am not dirty, just messy haired whenever I am at his place) No one really cares how I am dressed when I go there, usually we go for his cigs or for something random! Like a cuticle remover?! They have a 2 horse merry go round thing for kids and I always stare at it.. I might be 20 years old... but it bring back memories! I am hesitant to speak have my new found love of Rite-Aid, as I would hate for it to become overpopulated. This location has everything you could possibly need, whether you are just visiting, or live here. From "someone in Santa Monica loves me" souvenirs to medicine, to shoes, and even anything you would need for a cookout!! I went over Memorial Day weekend, and even still the lines were not incredibly difficult - thankfully, as I had an awful head cold/allergies of some sort!
