7-Eleven on Wilshire Bl in Santa Monica. Generally, I do not frequent these type of convenient stores for fear of possibly 'being at the wrong place at the wrong time' robbery situation victim. These convenient store tend to get robbed regularly and I almost always avoid them, except today. This was the nearest and most convenient market around. I was thirsty and needed alkaline H20 so I stopped inside this 7 eleven. Purchased 2 liters of alkaline H20, 2 liters of Fiji H20, a bag raw almonds and 2 bananas. The female cashier was super nice, friendly and helpful. She offered me a discount on the items I purchased and she seemed genuinely nice. I thanked her and asked where her lovely accent was from...she replied 'Burma,' next to Thailand. I immediately said, 'oooh I Love Burmese Rubies!' She was shocked I knew, I smiled, winked and thanked her again :) And right outside this 7 eleven is a guy selling fresh flowers. The flowers, particularly the stargazer lilies looked so fresh and intoxicatingly fragrant, wanted to buy a bunch but didn't have enough cash on hand. I spoke to the floral guy Ramon in Spanish and complimented him on the lovely flowers. Within 5 seconds he put together a bouquet and gifted them to me...such a thoughtful gesture. I gave him the limited cash I had and thanked him profusely. Despite my fear of convenient stores, there are some genuine kind hearted people that are just super nice with heartfelt intentions and do Acts of Kindness. 7-11 really needs to invest in some security. All the locations have issues but this one is particularly troubling. Every time I go, there are multiple panhandlers hollering at me, addicts nodding off in front of the door, and tonight there was a scam going on where some girl was crying and claiming they stole her last 3 dollars. They were having a yelling match as I was trying to check out. As she was distracting them and holding up the long line of customers, someone else shoplifted while wearing a Halloween mask. I waited outside in my car and saw them go around the corner together. A minute before that drama happened, a different homeless woman came in begging for a cup of free coffee and refusing to leave without it. There is constant drama here, and crime is common. Every single time, something happens that makes me feel like society is falling apart. It is really heartbreaking but these Santa Monica 7-11s need security and I don't know why they don't have it. The flower stand just OUTSIDE is outstanding - pricewise. I stopped by on a Thursday evening to pick up a friend a bunch of flowers, some tiger lilies, & it was just $9.00- what a break. Not sure if he does that just for women? Another woman was just as grateful as me. The key word here is to negotiate. Once upon a time, I brought my big vase in & one of the florists made a simple tropical arrangement. Select your flowers, notify the florist, he writes up a bill, then directs you to pay inside. Stand in the quick moving line to pay & presto, out in a jiffy. Just be forewarned, they close up @ 8 p.m. Sometimes the florist will cut you some slack if he is closing up. He said I was the last customer of the night. I could tell he just wanted to get out of there. Maybe that's why I got a deal? Sometimes the flowers have already opened. In that case, he might cut the price down. If you buy a regular priced bunch that has not bloomed yet, he might even offer to throw in an already bloomed bunch for FREE! The best selection I'm told is on Monday. I went late Saturday afternoon, I was still able to get 16 stems of half-open pink gladiolas for $9.00, unheard of in Santa Monica. Had some food doordashed from here. Order was incorrect. Food was inedible. I think the staff is nice given what they have had to put up with. They now have security which was really needed long ago, but now they have it, it DOES make a difference. I love some of the value wines as they seem to have stepped up their quality. In fact, I notice that their Trojan Horse Pinot Grigio is always out of stock!! They don't keep up with restocking the wines. But dude, you're not completing the transaction!!! Then, on multiple occasions, the doors have been locked during BUSINESS HOURS!!! I'm gonna be fair with this review. The overall store is nice. A little dirty but that's cause a lot of people come here and they aren't clean or courteous. I'm giving 4 stars mainly cause they don't got iced coffee which is the only way I drink my coffee. I felt like a crackhead making my own iced coffee with the hot coffee and ice with creamers!! I do not know why, but I love 7-Eleven coffee. And they have upgraded too. Know they not only have decaf, but they also have 2-3 kinds of flavored coffee as well at this location. I often come here when I am on a coffee run for a bunch of folks, and 7-Eleven makes it cheap and easy. They have the trays ready, four kinds of sweetener, several kinds of dairy and nondairy creamer, all in to-go containers - I fill-up the cups then fill up my pockets with the coffee add-ins and it is a quick in and out. read more

This 7-Eleven, like all others, seems to have it all. I think the only thing it's missing is a clothing section, although I did see you could get to rags, hairsprays, and brushes inside so maybe he does have it all. The one special thing I noticed was right outside the doors they actually sell flowers. Now it's not a Conroy's or TheBouqs.com but seriously you can purchase your loved one or anyone special some flowers for about $10 at 7/11- that's mine blowing, crazy, and frankly it's awesome. When I walked inside there was a line of about eight people. This seems to be typical of any place in Santa Monica between 12-2 p.m. Because that's lunchtime and everyone is either eating and/or running errands. I want a Slurpee and my friend wanted Marlboro cigarettes- and they had both! The manager saw the line and came out to help get people out quicker. With him doing that we were in and out of there within 3 minutes. That was extremely quick and efficient and we both got exactly what we wanted. It's crazy for me to give this place 5 stars, here's my reasons why. The Hawaii 7-11 sucks. I'm sick of eating mediocre rice food in Hawaii. Breakfast Bowl? Spam Musubi? Sushi? Roast Beef Sandwich? Out of Hot Dogs? Out of Taquitos? Bland Doritos? Bland Frito Lays Chips? Spicy Tuna Roll? Arizona Green Tea? Expensive Water? Seriously almost nothing has change for 5 years for 7-11 in Hawaii. We were staying at Sheraton Santa Monica Delfina hotel and we wanted to buy bottled water. So we walked to a nearby 7-11 and found more than just water. A case of 24 20oz bottle water was only $4!!! 7-11 has their own brand of chips with so many different flavors. Arizona Lite Green Tea Lemonade is the BEST! This 7-11 has a special for 2 hot dogs or 2 taquitos or mix match all for $2.22. There's also Cheetos Fire Hot Puffs! Damn it, I can't think of any others but I could probably live on 7-11 food for a month before I start to get sick of it. This 7-11 has the best floral bouquet arrangements I have found in LA, especially considering that the most you'll pay is $35 for a monster set of flowers that are designed to bloom for a week or 2, not just look insane for a day and then turn brown. I asked for a $15 bouquet last week to settle my girlfriends mood and it totally worked, and it continues to bloom and look fresh 5 days later. It's giant. Of course there is a 7-11 here too and they are what you expect from 7-11(motor oil, soda, beer, hostess products, lottery) although there are a ton of homeless that hang out here, probably due to the high traffic from the flowers. It's also where cabbies hang out, if you need a lift. Long story short, go here for the flowers, and since they are probably not for you, grab yourself a treat while you're at it. read more

ATM SCAM - BEWARE - I went to use the ATM inside this 7-eleven to take out $40 in cash. The machine said the fees would be $2.95. At the end of the year when I was reviewing my transactions and discovered that they had also charged me $2.50 for a balance inquiry and another $2.50 withdrawal fee. This location is close to my work so it's convenient. The cashier's are always quick and on their game. My only complaint is all the homeless people outside the doors and in the parking lot. The business is run as a typical convience store...really nothing to say about this. The personnel do their job in an average , quiet way......nothing to say here. But the homeless situation right outside the door is what gives this business a bad name. Most every time I go to this store I am harassed by over aggressive pan handlers who camp out all day in front of the store. This is where the owner of the business should be held accountable. Maybe he should show his Yelp reviews to Santa Monica City Hall or the police. It is such a shame that a good business is literally trashed by ill people who seem to be allowed to hang out in front.
