It's okay as far as convenience stores go. We went in searching for simple earbuds since mine broke early on in our trip. The store was immaculate and I mentioned to the team members how impressed I was and they said they appreciated my enthusiasm. The manager of the store found my credit card that I unknowingly had dropped in the store. He went out of his way to track my cell number down through the pharmacy and called me to let me know he was holding for me. DO NOT recommend the pharmacy. It has been a handful of times that we constantly have to call from morning to night to get a prescription filled 8 hours later. It's frustrating they expect you to sit around and wait when they're almost closing when you need your medications. I always call in the morning to make sure it will be ready on time and it takes me showing up at closing time for them to tell me to wait 15 more minutes. When I got there they were just sitting around talking. Not doing their job. Find another pharmacy. read more

PHARMACY REVIEW ONLY This Rite Aid location use to have a fantastic pharmacy, with 2 outstanding pharmacists and friendly helpful assistants. They literally went above and beyond and I wish I would have posted a 5 STAR review over that several years for outstanding service. BUT..... Over the last few months something has changed for the worst. Given the type of some of my medications I suspect it is a change in pharmacist, and pharmacy management skills. There has been a string multiple unacceptable failures as a result, including multiple occasions of prescriptions not being filled when they should have. Despite the pharmacy having current refills on file, or receiving new prescriptions before current Rx fill has run out. I take medication that you are not suppose to stop taking, suddenly stopping dose can pose one to very serious side effects, dangers, and risk. But in addition to filling prescriptions late, I have had multiple instances of prescription meds that may need to be ordered not being ordered until date it should be filled, or ordered days after it should have been filled leaving me without medication for multiple days. Some medications have to be taken daily or more frequently, with potentially serious side effects and exposure unnecessary dangers. So here is my advise, particularly if you have medications you cannot run out, call the pharmacy everyday starting about 3 business days (M-F) before you new prescription should be filled. And do not think that because they did last month or even over last few years well that you can trust them to continue getting the same service. Additional note for calling, when you get first a voice prompt hit '9' it will say invalid input, but skips you past all the early message before getting to main menu where 'speak to pharmacy' is '3'. There is some great staff at this pharmacy, unfortunately as the ok'd saying goes 'it is hard to soar like an eagle when you work with turkeys' Would still be a 5 star operation if they actually ordered and filled prescriptions when they were suppose to, bill errors have started to occur that rarely happened before, the kind that shouldn't happen and if they do should result in a call to the customer. Well, like my previous review, Rite Aid is always gloomy looking. They never seem to have enough people working the register. We went in to get bandaids then decided to get ice cream because what the hell. There was actually someone working the counter! She seemed very overwhelmed by the amount of people wanting ice cream. There wasn't anyone manning the front register so she had to call multiple times for someone to cover the front register. After waiting a while as she scrambled to get ice cream for a family of 3 kids (I didn't mind waiting at all), it was our turn. The ice cream were all over the place, different flavors mixed in with other flavors because they seemed to only use one scoop which they didn't fully clean. It honestly looked really gross. She seemed calm with us because we weren't all over the place asking for ice cream. They should clean up their ice cream freezer a bit, use different scoops and clean it up. Seeing tubs of ice cream with chunks of different flavors is not cool to me. read more

This review is solely for the pharmacy. I don't buy other things a Rite Aid so I can't speak to the rest of the store's attributes. I visit Rite Aid once a month to pick up my meds- overall, a solid pharmacy. It gets bonus points with me for the close proximity to my apartment, lack of long lines, consistently short wait times, and friendly staff. And Thrifty ice cream! Yum. Best pharmacist one can ask for. Mom lives in a retire community near by and she is able to pick her Meds by scooter since she is no longer able to walk to pharmacy. Mom constantly relies on automatic refills, pharmacist and staff to stay on top of her Meds. Moms has survived cancer and a few other illness for the last 15 years but now more than ever pharmacist and staff have always assisted Mom with great care and excellent costumer care. Thanks to them we are able to best manage Mom Meds in the most efficient manner possible. Thank you for doing what you do. You are an essential part of our community. read more

I am a local physician. My husband came to get an Rx for me and it was 5:58. They close at 6. They told him, well we closed the register because no one was here, and said "come on, let's go" to the other pharmacy staff and off they went. Meanwhile I am miserable with sinusitis. I give it two stars only for the fact that the store is usually clean and neat. However the staff isn't the friendliest catch. The last time I was there I needed help finding something and the staff avoided me like the plague. One lady wouldn't make eye contact with me and the other saw me and went down a different isle before I could approach her! I literally felt like a stalker just to get some help. But they do have a good nail polish and make up selection. I used the pharmacy once and the college girl was surprisingly friendly. read more

I have never experienced anything like this before at any other rite aid. We moved back to California in August and were really excited about the possibility of having thrifty ice cream again. This rite aid has an ice cream counter but they refuse to serve ice cream. We've gone five different times, different days and different time, and they will NOT serve us ice cream. We've been told that they don't serve ice cream "right now". When I've asked about what times the ice cream counter is open, I'm told "just not right now." It is UNBELIEVABLE!! I don't think it's personal, but I can't be sure at this point. Based on the other reviews, my guess is that incompetence is the bigger factor. I would love to hear from rite aid corporate as to why this store refuses to serve me ice cream. read more

The pharmacy employees here are the worst. Rude rude rude. The manager strolls in with a disgusted look on his face at 9:05am. I'm sitting here, late for work, hoping to be in and out at 9am. Nope. The other tellers couldn't care less to even look you in the eye let alone greet you. I stood at the register while the pharmacy manager looked at me and said nothing to the other employees. Then, when the other employee finally noticed me, he just stared at his computer and asked for the last name. I know the employees don't care about this place or their jobs, but maybe Rite Aid corporate does. I blame them, not the employees. This is a post about ice cream. I can't even believe I'm writing it. I'm just that angry right now. I wish there was a star lower than one. Yesterday night my wife wasn't feeling well and wanted ice cream, so we went to rite aid and were told that they closed the ice cream at 9:00. It was around 8:50 when they told us that. Dumbfounded we walked away and went back tonight, this time knowing to get there earlier. We walk towards the ice cream and wait 3-4 minutes to be acknowledged by anyone. Finally someone approaches us and tells us that the ice cream was closed. We ask what time they close it and he said 6:30. Same guy that we talked to the day before. As we were about to walk away another female worker approaches us and asks what we need, we told her we wanted ice cream. Her response? She seemed caught of guard and mumbled "it's broken" - yes, that's right, she told us the ice cream was broken. Apparently the other guy wasn't aware that the freezer wasn't working, or at least he failed to mention it. I didn't even know what to say. She seemed to realize the absurdity of what she said because after a couple seconds of me staring down her bold faced lie she then said the freezer wasn't working. As my wife and I had been eyeing the ice cream nothing looked melted, and the glass was cold. Was she seriously just going to straight up lie to us? Yes. The answer was yes. I realize the ridiculousness of writing a review about ice cream at a rite aid. I know that in the end, whether or not I got ice cream or not wouldn't drastically alter my day for the better or worse. I never even post reviews, good or bad, but I felt the need tonight. How can a company have such low standards for the employees they hire that have such a disregard for anything resembling customer service? read more

This is a review specifically of the pharmacy located within Rite-Aid. They are fast, professional, and open seven days a week. You can get a prescription filled in twenty minutes or less usually and they have an automated system which will call you to remind you that your refill is ready. My mother who is disabled found this pharmacy to be handicap friendly as it is located in the front of the store and reduces the distance she must travel. read more

Wow... About 10 people in 1 line .. The girl checking at the long line was talking to someone... A friend casually .... A girl at the cigarette counter checking had 1 customer but this is because it wasn't clear it was a line. When checking out we decided we needed one thing behind the counter and she said "what do you want", with a scowl on her face... like we were inconveniencing her it was horrible.... The head pharmacist is either from the U.K, Australia or maybe even Ireland. I can't tell but you WILL be able to tell the accent and the attitude. She is rude and never has an answer for anything. Stay far away from this pharmacy until they replace her. She sometimes works at the location on Foothill too. You will not like her. As for the employees in the store? Super friendly, very cordial and I like them a lot. It is very sad that one pharmacist with a "God" complex has to ruin it for the whole store. Slow slow slow slow!!! I work down the street and only get thirty minutes for lunch, and have spent the majority of it a couple of times in line at this rite aid. Unfortunately, the mouthwash I prefer to use, I can only find at rite aid. Every time I have ever been in this location, which is close to a major slo hospital and to Cal Poly, there's only one cashier working. ON A SATURDAY??!! IS corporateTHAT TIGHT WITH PAYROLL HOURS they can't schedule anyone to work on a weekend this close to poly and French hospital??!! I wanted to help rid them of seasonal outdoor stuff (planters and other garden stuff), but after spending ten minutes in line, I had to leave the stuff behind cuz I had to get back to work and by the time I get off work, this store is closed. If I don't need to go in this store out of necessity, I don't. I'm so grateful the smart and final opened up next to them cuz they staff their store and I can get in and out. This has to be the worst drug store I have ever done business with! They make CVS look GOOD! I've been going to this pharmacy for about 6 months now and I can't believe the number of errors they've made. The last time I went in to pick up an Rx, they had someone else's in the pouch with mine! I won't even go through the whole line-up of mistakes they've made, but today I'm trying to get through to them in regards to a Rx I should have had two weeks ago but they dropped the ball and didn't send the prior authorization to the doctor's office. I've tried at least 5 times and the phone just keeps ringing and ringing, then goes to a fax tone! And yes, I'm calling the right number, I checked and double-checked. This will be the last Rx I get filled there. IF I'm ever able to get it filled at all. read more

The rudest pharmacy in town. On multiple occasions they have not been able to fill my prescription made no attempt to contact me so that I could go to another pharmacist. And then they act like its my fault that they can't fill my prescription. Like I should of known that they don't carry that dose or type. Do not go to this pharmacy if you want people who care about your health. Very rude! They denied me my anti anxiety medication today and I am officially out. My doctor contacted them yesterday and increased my dose by a lot after I renewed my prescription over the phone it told me it would ready by 11 today. When I got there I was told I can't get it filled till tomorrow. And then preceded to talk down to me. So now I'm in full blown panic attack. My doctor transferred my prescription to a new pharmacy but now I can't pick it up because it's so far away and I can't drive. I'm supposed to take it 5 time a day. So Now I'm heading home to hang myself. I can' deal with all this anymore and all the hard times they have caused me on multiple occasions trying to fill antidepressant and anti anxiety medication.
