I also told them, once on the phone and once in person that I wanted to cut down the ""refill" to just the supply needed for my trip. They ignored this twice and the person who was upset about my insurance coverage tried to ring me up for the whole 3-month supply for hundreds of dollars. Just terrible service, poor communication and a lack of comprehension that suggests these folks got their pharmacy certifications through grade inflation. That said, the woman who was running the front counter, who probably doesn't have a fancy cert, was nice and I feel like CVS should pay her to get whatever degree/certificate is required so they can replace the "pros" behind the back counter.

The prices are slightly higher than other retailers, but you will save a lot with coupons or whatever they have on sale. For example: buy one get one free, or pay one dollar for the second item, or one item with 30% or 40% off coupons. My secret is that I downloaded the CVS app and got a membership card for the rewards program. You must check your email to confirm your coupons or rewards. Before shopping check the deals and coupons then add them to your card. As soon as in the store, print out the coupons then enjoy your shopping. The most important thing is that before completing your payment you must tell them you want to use the full boat to redeem your transaction. We went out to dinner and then, per usual, we like to stop by Rite Aid for a single scoop of ice cream. We were standing in line behind two college-aged girls. One of the girls ordered chocolate malt ball ice cream, which was the last serving in the tub. My friend commented on the fact that they were out of her favorite ice cream. When the girl was served, she turned around to my friend and handed her the ice cream cone, knowing it was her favorite. She then ordered another flavor for herself. That was one of the sweetest gestures I've seen in a long time! No matter what you think about young people today, my faith has been restored by this one act of kindness. I hope and pray for this young girl to have a wonderful college experience, and that someone comes along and blesses her immensely.

Came to Vons Pharmacy and they had COVID self-test kits available. I was lucky enough to be able to have them billed to my insurance so I didnt pay any money out of pocket. The young girl at the counter was very helpful with adding my claim and processing it to my insurance. Nzxt I was given a bag full of self-test kits and I was on my way.

She told me that they did rent wheelchairs so I drove over to see what they had. She greeted me at the door and asked me a lot of good questions that I didn't think about. She ended up with two recommendations and then she went and retireved them. I immediately went with the smaller one. Monday, 9AM is my weekly Costco trip, I should probably only go if I need something, because, and we all know this, you walk out with stuff you didn't intend on buying. Am I right? I've only been an executive member for going on 3 years now, the first year, I didn't go to Costco, but since retiring it's a weekly trip and usually there will be something on the Costco list we need. The SLO location is great for me, about 30 minutes from Paso, easily accessible, lots of parking, Costco gas and the reliable food court we have grown to love. I walk the store weekly, never in a hurry to get in and out, but the only time I've seen it really crowded was Thanksgiving week, 2025, but even then it was manageable once inside, it never felt crowded and the check out lives, including self check weren't a long wait. I feel the employees do a great job keeping the store stocked and clean, making it easy to navigate. I have use the optometry department, which was very easy, albeit a little bit of a wait to be served. They took all three of my prescriptions and I found a frame and a few weeks I picked my glasses up. Since then, they have repaired them once, no charge. If you need glasses, get them filled at Costco, so easy, good selection. Overall, I am happy with their selection, there are things I wish they would stock, miso marinated sablefish and Tejava being two of those items. It's nice to see some new items as I stroll the aisle and overall it's s great experience in SLO. Can't forget that hotdog meal on the way out, still a deal at $1.50!
