Not surprised by these negative reviews. This pharmacy is incredibly rude and unprofessional. Why get into the medical field if you hate your life and make everyone else miserable in the process? The sad this is, this review probably won't do much to change their broken, disgusting system. Go to another CVS pharmacy where they might care a little more and avoid this one at all costs. I switched to this pharmacy in hope for a better experience and ease of use, since it's inside Target. Unfortunately, this pharmacy is worse than I could've imagined. Since I started coming here I've had an issue almost every time I've come. First, I was told I'd have to return the following day because they were closing in 30 minutes and had already locked up the area my meds would be coming from (even though the script had been sent over 4 hours beforehand). The next time I went I was told that I would have to wait because my meds weren't ready, that script had been sent the day before. I'm always met with hesitance and told to come back, it doesn't matter how long they've had my prescription it seems like they won't fill it until I come. The last time, early today, I was told I'd have to come back in an hour because (surprise) my script wasn't filled yet, even though it had been sent in over two days ago. I come back almost 2 hours later and then I'm told they don't have it ready and it won't be filled until "maybe tomorrow". This time I'm told that although I was told that it would be ready they never actually checked their inventory, and they don't have the meds in stock. Absolutely horrible experience here, would be nice if they could get there act together and actually help people. read more

Last week I called to get my second round of Shingles vax. I showed up at 1:05 PM today and the pharmacy was closed. Their sign says they take their 30 minute lunch between 1:00 and 2:00., (kind of cryptic) So, I sat there from 1:15 to 1:30 with zero contact with anyone. At 1:30 someone comes out and I ask when they'll open and she said in 30 minutes. So, obviously, Target doesn't know that they're taking at least a 45 minute lunch at least today. They should just close for an entire 60 minutes between 1-2 and everyone will understand. If I was monitoring the CVS Pharmacy customer satisfaction, I'd say they're sadly lacking. Guess I'll take my wife and my business elsewhere. read more

I'm visiting the area so I had my doctor send a prescription here. I called the pharmacy and the automated system said that my prescription was in process and that the estimated availability was 9:14pm. That was odd, given that they close at 7:00pm, so I tried to call and get clarity. I listened to hold music for over 20 minutes and gave up. Then, miraculously, I got a text at 5:30 saying my prescription was ready. I hopped in the car and was there at 5:45. But, they were already closed, more than an hour before their published closing time. No one at Target knew why. When I came back the next day to get my prescription, no one behind the CVS counter knew why (or so they claimed). I wasn't the only person at the counter that night wondering what happened, and if you scroll down you'll see I'm not the only reviewer that had this happen. Only go here in the middle of the day, when they might still be open. read more

Who gets a headache when they go to the coast? Me. Go figure. I was getting gas at Costco and looking for a pharmacy in the area. Viola! There's a CVS almost across the street. It's inside the Target store if you don't notice the sign at first. Quick in and out. I grabbed what I needed and used the self checkout. read more

Would not recommend this pharmacy. While the front clerk is friendly enough, the pharmacist is robotic, without empathy, and has zero communication skills. If you experience any issues with you authorizations or medication you will not be able to rely on him to explain clearly what may be going on or why there is an issue... how to resolve the issue. You will be on your own to figure this out. I would suggest heading over to the CVS over on 717 Marsh Street. The staff there are ever so friendly and helpful with assisting when those issues come up. Not to mention they are super friendly and not moody at all like the folks at target. read more

I go to this pharmacy because I love target! However, every time I go here I regret it. The costumer service is terrible and unhelpful. The pharmacist gave me the wrong syringe for my child and I could have overdosed my child if I wasn't paying attention to mg and ml's. read more

Stay away! The pharmacist was so rude to me when I was struggling to get an emergency supply of my medication while on a trip. They randomly decided to close an hour early with no explanation. I was really trying my best to stay calm about the situation but for anyone who takes daily meds it is not only scary but also dangerous to not have your regimen! read more

5 stars for customer service on the phone! I wish I could remember the name of the woman that helped me. I'm going to be in the area when I need to pick up a medication. She ordered the medication for me and sent my Dr a request for the refill so he would send it to the correct location. read more

WARNING!!! If you make a vaccine appointment between 1and 2 pm, you don't really have an appointment. CVS corporate can't find a programmer to differentiate pharmacies that are free standing and those that are within Target stores. Free standing stores have 2 pharmacists so are not impacted by lunch hours. Target cvs pharmacies have one pharmacist and Pierre goes to lunch between 1 and 2 pm. I called CVS corporate customer service and was on hold for 30 minutes while I wasted time in Target. Susheila tried to help and told me that Stephanie the district manager will call me. That did not surprise Pierre who said that she will call Joe her manager, pass it on and nothing will get done. The above issue happens everyday for him. Can you imagine that we don't matter to corporate CVS. I plan on pursuing this up the food chain. Just giving everyone a heads up. read more

I never shop at this store because it's a little far away for me, but I went there earlier this week for a shingles vaccination, since I had such a horrible experience getting a vaccination a couple of weeks ago at the pharmacy that's closer to home. CVS was great. Although I was a walk-in, I didn't even have time to sit down and fill out the consent form before the nurse was ready for me. The nurse (Mary) asked me all the questions on the form, filled it out herself, and had me sign. She asked me if I had any questions about the vaccine (I didn't), but she told me about aftercare and possible side effects before giving me the shot. I was in and out in 10 minutes. The whole experience couldn't have been better. read more

My daughter is a student living in SLO and has told us multiple times how nice one particular pharmacist is here, and I'm sorry we don't know his name, but he called her doctor when my daughter couldn't convince the doctor's office that they hadn't really sent her prescription (they really hasn't sent it but wouldn't admit it until he called) and then later he walked her through some potential drug interactions. Just wonderful service, and as a parent hours away, I really appreciate it. read more

Transferred my prescriptions to here today, after being treated horribly by the incredibly rude pharmacist at the CVS on Madonna. Super easy to transfer my prescriptions since I was already in the system. Friendly service (particularly considering I was not in a good mood after my experience at the CVS on Madonna). They listened to my needs, answered my questions, and filled my prescription in under an hour. There isn't any seating or benches near the pharmacy, but there is a Starbucks and food court at the front of the store, if you're not in the mood to shop. Looking forward to the convenience of filling my monthly prescriptions while getting my household shopping done. read more
