There are no public bathrooms for customers. Such a pain. Pretty run down too and weird people outside.

Small little store that was quite dirty. Items were out of place both as in why would they be in a rite aid (looking at you Mr. Beer Kit Home brewing kit) and also mislabeled and/or put back wrong. I doubt I will be back unless I am in a pinch. On another note the bathrooms that were in the back for employees only were not very nice. read more

This was my first time visiting this location. I made my COVID Booster shot appointment here because it's close. The pharmacist didn't seem to be caring, her attitude turned my off and gave me bad vibes. She was not gentle in giving me the booster shot, it felt like she stabbed me with the needle. The other two vaccines I received, I didn't even feel them. I feel it was definitely her taking her attitude out on me for being early for my appointment. I would not recommend going to this location. Like others stated it is very small and dirty. The bathroom was horrible. The first staff member I encountered when I entered the store was polite and greeted me. I just didn't like my experience with the pharmacist on duty today. read more

If I had to choose a chain of stores I DESPISE other than Walmart, it would be Rite-Aid. The store's layout makes absolutely no sense, and I always find myself wandering around aimlessly and spending way more time in there than I planned to. This is the location I find myself in most often, and usually because I was dragged in by someone else. Meh. read more

Worst Rite Aid. Their stuff is expensive and their customer service leaves much to be desired. Watch out, you cannot order photos here right now even though it says you can online and that it is one of their "store services". I called customer service, and they are apparently out of paper and their computer is down so online orders don't even show up. Bottom line: Call before ordering photos from here, or better yet go somewhere else. read more

I just moved to the area. I find this store EXTREMELY convenient. They also recently extended their hours to 12am on weekdays. When its 11pm and u need toilet paper, juice, snacks, AND a lightbulb... You'll be glad this place was here & open. The staff has always been friendly-ish. But they are young and I really only expect them to tell me where to find _____.... And ask "Credit or debit?" I dont know what these other reviewers want from a neighborhood drugstore, but for me I want late hours, well lit, safe, and nearby. This Rite-Aid does all of those very well. This is my local RA so I'll give it 3 for extreme convenience. They even carry flat screen TVs? The employees are really sweet here. But, the store sucks. It's totally disorganized, they never have anything, and I miss all my free stuff from CVS. It seems like everything is in a terribly illogical place. For some reason the parking lot here is always a mess of cars. If you can walk, just do it. This store gets its fair amount of 'creatures' as I like to call them. But hey, that's what makes it interesting, right? read more

Meh. It's no CVS but for the most part I get what I come in for. The customer service is really hit or miss which I unfortunately come to expect in Philadelphia. Being from the Midwest this is still something I'm trying to come to terms with. The pharmacy is also hit or miss. I had my Dr call in a Rx once when I was very sick and came to pick it up only to hear they were out of my antibiotic! I was livid! I asked them why no one thought to call me to save me the trip knowing my Dr called this in. I got no answer or apology, just some blank stares. This has been my local drug store ever since the small, independent drug store was bought by Rite Aid and closed. Like others have said, the customer service and selection at this location are terrible. Many of the prices are incorrect when scanned at the register and require a manager to fix. I hate shopping here, but it is convenient and frankly the only game in town right now. On the bright side, occasionally I run into a famous ex-mayor and governor at this location. I've been going to the Rite Aid at 3601 Midvale Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19129 for about 3 years now. Getting prescriptions even though my insurance isn't contracted with the store. But today I was stopped and asked to leave when I walked in the door. And the reasoning was because I had my bike with me. While I would understand if the justification would have been something to do with legalities, which I'm not aware of since I was not looking to store my bike. But the reasoning was because my rubber tires would damage the floor. Yes the floor. Never mind the hard rubber of shoes, the rough plastic of the shopping carts, the cardboard displays that are dragged into place, the wheels of the pallet jack and dollies with sometimes hundreds of pounds of product that make their way around the store, but my bike that weighs less than 20 pounds will severely damage the floor's finish. I said that I would have been happy to lock my bike outside but there was not a bike rack. The Loss Prevention employee Randall (I believe his name is) said the best he could do was let me leave my bike at the front door by the water where a camera would watch it. Explaining that my bike cost $1600 and will not leave it unattended and unlocked by the door I was told that I could leave. In a store which had someone being taken away in handcuffs last week and has been broken into in the past I don't believe it is a stretch to think that my property could be stolen. But nonetheless my business was turned away by someone who wan't a manager. read more

Switched to this pharmacy from the Target Pharmacy (now a CVS) off Monument Rd. It is lots closer and many fewer traffic annoyances, including traffic lights. Also, it's in an adjacent neighborhood to ours, and we like local. Generic prices are a little higher at Rite Aid than CVS b/c of the deals the various drug chains have with the insurance companies. As a result, especially if we start needing exotic drugs, we may have to switch to the Manayunk CVS on Main St., which is harder to get to. This Rite Aid is small (the store is shoehorned into a small site) and they sometimes have to delay filling our scripts the same day. People are friendly, almost never a jam of people filling scripts. As mentioned above, the rest room is not wonderful and is a little bit of a chore to get to, involving an employee with a key. No one is sure what's going to happen now that the part of Rite Aid that is not Walgreens will be owned by Albertson's. My guess is that this store will disappear, which will be too bad for us, since it is so convenient. read more

What a depressing, sorry excuse for a drug store. I avoid it like the plague because literally it bums me out to be in there. It doesn't qualify as the same category as a CVS nor does it qualify Asa mom n pop pharmacy- just a depressing, old, dirty, " drugstore " with miserable staff. I was biking this morning, on my way home, had what looked like palpitation or maybe a heart condition, pouring sweat, almost fainted, could barely drag my bike. stopped by the pharmacy, to use the rest room, I looked aweful and told them I don't feel well. there were a cashier, pharmacy tech, and a pharmacist. they let me use the rest room, and I sat on a seat right next to the PHARMACIST door. NO ONE bothered to ask if they could help or if I'm alright. They didn't mind me siting there though. To me, it looked like they failed to do the very basic thing they went to school for, and went to work this morning (care for a patient) I'd never trust asking them advice. btw, I've always had this condition since I was young, it's electrolytes fluctuation, all I needed to lift up my feet, air, and something salty to eat. read more

The deodorant is locked up if that gives you any indication as to the quality of this store. Prices are generally more than you'd pay elsewhere for common goods and the service is usually pretty awful. Unfortunately its the only thing right around there so it draws way more business than it should. If you're in the market for an 88 cent 2 liter of diet knock off soda, you found your heaven, though. read more

This is a really convenient local pharmacy. The lay-out is a bit awkward, and they can have some odd items in stock. But I've found some inexpensive random stuff there that I wound up buying-- like seasonal decor-- and my toddler loves the toy car selection :). In my experience, the cashiers have always been friendly and laid-back, and the pharmacists are professional and knowledgeable. The hours are great-- I often need to pick up my prescriptions pretty late and I love that the pharmacy is open until 9. The main downside is that because it's a small pharmacy, sometimes I have to wait until a medication is brought in from another store. This can be an issue if it's critical to take something quickly so I learned to call ahead to see what their stock is if I need something same-day. They're very helpful directing me to another Rite-Aid if they don't have it in stock. Also a hint: prices are sooo much cheaper in the store if you have a RiteAid card. With the discount card, the prices on laundry detergent, toilet paper, etc. beat most places. read more

God Almighty!! It looks like I'm not the only customer that hates this place. My problem is ALWAYS their Pharmacy. This has been my third time trying to get a prescription filled here and always with little to no luck. The first time was back in August and they didn't have what I needed. Ugh! The other time i needed pain meds. I was told I had to "wait a day or two" for them to fill it. Ummmm I'm in pain NOW, "in a day or two" I'll probably be back in the hospital bcuz of the sheer agony I had to endure. Reallly?!?! The third attempt was my last straw. My newborn needed meds for a vaccine she just got. She was cranky and irritable as was to be expected. They told me they had the meds and they'd call when ready. I didn't know it was going to be hours after. My poor baby had to suffer. I only go here bcuz it's close by. But trust me, I'll be going out of my way from now on to get my Rxs filled and be pain-free. read more
