I use Walgreens to refill prescriptions mainly because of the convenience and its location to my…read morehome. One of the BEST features of refilling prescriptions at Walgreens is their app. Instead of calling in, stopping in or speaking to a pharmacist, you can simply scan the barcode on your prescription bottle, and the app will bring up your prescription information and send that information over to Walgreens. Also, you'll have the option to select your pick-up dates and times that is most convenient for you. This week I attempted to refill a prescription for my mother, but could not do so because we needed a doctor's authorization for the prescription. For some reason, the primary doctor's office is closed for a whole week, which now causes a big problem as my mom is completely out of her medication. After speaking with one of the pharmacist at Walgreens and explaining the problem, the pharmacist at Walgreens offer to give me an "emergency supply" of my mom's prescription to last her until the doctor's office re-opens in a few days. Needless to say, I'm very impressed and very happy that Walgreens went above and beyond their normal everyday service.

When filling out the form, she asked, "Have you had any recent vaccinations?" Me: A measles shot last week. PE: I never heard of that. How do you spell it? I spelled it out for her, but it still took her half-a-dozen attempts to get it right. The people administering the shots were willing to answer questions and explained any side effects you may feel. I only felt tired near the end of the next day (like 8pm) with both. In NF where I live, there are not any CVS stores close to me. I was surprised how high some of the items they sell cost. The only downside I saw, was how you got in and out. It was at a very busy corner and when you left you had to check both ways nonstop as you pull out. I was almost hit as a car came speeding down the side street I was exiting on.

As with all CVS locations, the print quality is questionable but it's very convenient if you need a quick one or two photos. I appreciate that this location often prints much faster than the estimated times online. If you're printing a larger number of photos, CVS photo does often have coupons that make the prints very inexpensive. The staff at this location has always been friendly and I've never had any major issues with the parking lot. Getting in and out is a little tricky because it's on a somewhat difficult intersection, but it's definitely manageable. Overall, a solid choice if you're looking for a CVS.

It has been operating during COVID and continues to operate as of today, 1/6/21. My Government backed insurance came and this year my access to certain pharmacies has changed. I walked out of my pharmacy of 20 years after they rudely ignored my questions and pretended I was the problem. I called my Insurance and was given another pharmacy that was within driving distance. This happened to be Family Medical Pharmacy. I stopped in around 1 pm on a week day and was instantly greeted by not 1, but EVERY employee in the establishment! I explained my situation to them and within minutes they were taking down my information, on the phone with my doctor, and providing me a comfortable (and cozy) place to wait. The entire experience was what I had grown up with in small-town WNY. It was friendly, caring, fun, welcoming, safe, and I left feeling like I mattered. About 2 days later I woke up to a missed call and a voice mail. It was from the owner of Family Medical Pharmacy, welcoming me as a new customer and asking if there was anything he could do personally to make my experiences even better! WOW! I can't say enough good about this entire experience. It feels like I just found a new home! Thank you!
