The actual store part is pretty good. I cant say I really have any complaints. The pharmacy on the other hand is a wreck. My main problem being changing prescriptions without notifying me. They changed my prescription and said the company had new packaging and they put the sticker over the company name and I had a reaction to it. The head pharmacist had such a horrible attitude while defending her actions. The head pharmacist is the one who said she does the prescriptions and she went with what was in stock. It happened again this time with a new head pharmacist who was really kind and said she dont know who packaged it and would note in my file to keep my prescription as written. It was her first day on the job too. Why would it even have to be at this level? A prescription prescribed by a doctor should NOT be changed by a pharmacist. Originally I was just waiting for my prescription to be finished and Id go to a new pharmacy but this new head pharmacist who was really sweet gave me the idea that things would be different. This place would be more organized and less chaotic. I think I need to give her a little more time to take control of that chaotic time bomb. Sorry thats what you inherited. The pharmacists under her dont really know what they are doing, very bored, easily stressed, and clearly do not like their jobs or even care. But with a boss like the one they had previous, Im not surprised. However its enough to leave me untrusting with this place. Id rather go to the pharmacy next to my job. They have lost my insurance information a few times. They also asked me to call them for my prescription to remind them to fill it when my one prescription was over. I gave them the refill that was needed. Again pretty unknowledgeable about what to do when given an insurance card. I asked for my prescription back and it was literally pain staking. I had to ask 6 times maybe more and at first it was "why do you want it back?" "Why do you need it back" "we have it in our system" and just with the jaw dropped. If I want to go to another pharmacy I can. You cant withhold a prescription from someone. I finally got it back after she was told to give it back to me. Its like the customers are a joke to them. The 2 stars are lost on the pharmacy and one for the new pharmacist who has quite a task ahead of her and the other two are for the store part. Wide selection. Neatly organized. Good pricing. What a disgusting encounter I, my mom and husband had tonight with the cashier at the Kings Park location. My mom, a 70 year old woman, went to take cash out at the CitiBank ATM, located in the store and put her card in not realizing that it was Out of Order. Unfortunately the card got stuck and when my mom asked for assistance from the cashier, her response was nasty and demeaning to my mom. She basically said to her, in a nasty way, "well the screen does say out of order". She basically was bashing my mom for not looking at the screen first. My mom is 70 and was more concerned with getting cash to buy things at the store and yes, my mom didn't look at the screen first but she is 70 and made a mistake. The woman could not have been meaner and criticized my mom for not looking at the screen first. When I addressed her and said that my mom made a mistake and maybe it would have been helpful to put a piece of tape where the cards go, she said that they do not do that and that everyone looks at the screen first before they put the card in. Like she has never made a mistake! Like my mom committed a crime. I go to that RiteAid weekly, since it is my local RiteAid but I am now refusing to go somewhere where they employ nasty, rude and disrespectful people. I could not believe her reaction when my mom just asked her for some help. And on top of that, the manager, Danny, did not intervene and reprimand her, when he heard everything that she said. Sitting here days without my anti-depressant, I called 3 times nicely, and finally got berated by one of the pharmacists "we don't have time to check over each prescription". Clearly no care and I don't think they realize what is is like to go without a serious anti-depressant for days. Didn't seem to have the time or care to call either me or my doctor and let us know there was an issue, just left me in limbo for days without medicine!!! We're seniors and called ahead about getting our flu shots. We were told that walk-ins would be accommodated from 2:00-3:00. We arrived at 2:05, there were all of three other customers in the pharmacy section, and we were the first on line. They turned us away because they were, "busy". They also don't require that customers wear masks, and while the girl behind the counter was masked, she pulled it down to talk to us. I would expect better infection control practices from a bowling alley. NOT THE PLACE FOR VULNERABLE PEOPLE. read more

I went here for a vax. The pharmacist basically told me to F off when I arrived claiming she was on break when I had a appointment time. She was extremely rude. The assistants were nice and respectful the head blonde pharmacist needs a reality check working for people because if she was this rude for a vax I could only imagine if their was a real problem . read more

The best thing about this pharmacy is when you pull up to the drive thru window and the employee Suzanne ( from her name tag ) greets you with a smile , remembers you name and makes you feel like she cares about you ! Professional and polite always. Store is run well . read more

WORST pharmacy staff. So rude. You can be standing right in front of them and they purposely ignore you and do not want to address you. Like they are doing you a favor by doing their job. Okay. I hate to complain but it needs to be done. I have to say that most of the people that work at Rite Aid are nice but for some reason a few people in the pharmacy are so rude. The problem is not Covid effecting the pharmacy department. The problem is their horrible telephone system. I'm waiting for a prescription and I've called the store four times and I'm rerouted constantly through their Covid announcement. They should have a separate number to press if you want to hear their 10 minute speech about the lack of Covid vaccinations. I don't care I just want to talk to the pharmacist. Of course the telephone system is not working, which is typical, there was a horrible screeching banging whining indescribable noise on the line when you finally are able to reach the pharmacy department. I can't tell if the phone is disconnected or if it's working. Someone answers the phone at one point and screeches hold on and that's the end of the conversation. They never come back to the phone. I am going to change pharmacies this is insane. And I have lived in this town for 37 years, always used to use the local pharmacy and now I'm going to switch back. read more

Usually avoid coming here, but since it was snowing and roads were bad, it was the safest and closest option. Got what I needed, and was waiting at the register for 5 minutes while the 3 employees in the store were aimlessly wandering the aisles. When I finally got the attention of the elderly woman previously complained about on here, she huffed and puffed her way behind the register like I was causing her a great inconvenience by paying for my items. Great customer service..NOT. I'm not sure what's wrong with the management here, but they should really figure out their employee situation! I have been to this store many times for the pharmacy and the customer service is just really poor, they're slow to serve customers. Recently I walked in later in the evening to avoid other customers as I was extremely sick. I waited for 10 mins at the counter, while 2 people were busy doing what appeared to be paperwork, before my existence was even acknowledged. Mind you I was coughing up a storm, you would think with Covid they would be more careful in getting me in and out. I was literally the only customer in the whole store. After more time of waiting I then had to ask to be helped stating that I was sick and have a baby in the car with my husband and really couldn't wait any longer. It should not take HALF AN HOUR to pick up a prescription. Oh and don't even bother calling, they'll send you on an endless loop of transferring through their system where no one actually ever picks up. read more

Slowest. Place. Ever. The elderly they have working there are not helpful, and like to take their sweet time. Everyone in this town avoids going here at all costs. Definitely worth the extra miles driving to CVS where staff is knowledgeable, and still breathing. read more
