On June 22,2023 I called to find out if Citracal, calcium supplement was in stock before I went there. Francesca checked and said they do not have it. I asked is she would order it as I have done many times in the past. She said she did not know how to do that and asked me to call back the following day. I inquired if Mike was there and she said no, Bob was. On June 23th I called again, a girl answered; I identified myself and the reason for my call. She put Francesca on the phone and she asked who normally orders for you. She put Mike on the phone and what transpired astonished me. Mike raised his voice and had an attitude, he said if I continue to be rude to his staff that I should take my business elsewhere. I was in shock; he is always so pleasant and helpful. I could not believe this outrage was over a bottle of calcium. I explained as stated above, he asked her and she said I called her incompetent. I offered to come in and tell the truth in front of her. Mike explained she is in pharmacy school and has been with him for 8 months. Mike came very close to calling me a liar. He then checked if the calcium was in stock, said he would order it and said I am sorry for the misunderstanding. I told him this will happen again with someone else and you will then know the truth. Perhaps Francesca thinks that she is going to be a pharmacist and taking an order is not in her status description. Town Drugs has been a fixture in the community for as long as I can remember and I am now 80 years old.

Myself and my family used this pharmacy exclusively and we were know by the man and woman (I believe they were the owners). One time I ran out of a med and needed a few days worth until I could have my Dr call in a refill after the weekend. The woman refused this request despite the fact that I needed to take this med everyday. She was told that the medicine had a very short half-life... meaning that after one day of not taking it, it would cause me problems, but she didn't give two shits. I did stop by and discuss this with the guy pharmacist and he was so apologetic and tripping over himself to help me. Sadly, despite his great attitude, the bad attitude the female pharmacist had made it very easy to switch to a big drug store chain. So good riddance to the non-helpful lady pharmacist, but good luck to that really nice guy.

As I stated, I am a new CVS customer. After many conversations and text messages, these employees came through for me on every level to make sure it was a successful encounter. As pesty as I know I was, they all treated me with respect and understanding. The concerns and difficulties a new consumer has were amplified. Return phone calls, text messages, alerts and so on, were all completed in a very timely fashion.
