I don't always like to review places like this store, but my experience was very pleasant as they were one of the only places in town that would give VA health care a Covid 19 shot. I don't go out of my way to review a Rite Aid. Yet this store was really unlike most Rite Aids, or pharmacies, that I've ever encountered. It stands out because it's a massive store with so much more than your typical sister location. Most Rite Aids are drab, disorganized and under-stocked depression zones, with a lot of fluorescent lighting and disappointment. Here they have not only the basics, but everything from a wide selection of plants out front to fishing and swimming gear to fleeces and sweatshirts to a grocery section. It's spacious, open and the shelves are well organized. I don't want to get too carried away, but you have to give a store its due. Maybe it's because there aren't many drug stores in the area or maybe it's just that small town coastal lifestyle. Whatever the case, this location is one to recommend. read more

They get two stars because their seasonal stuff always goes on clearance pretty quickly, and because they have a couple of makeup brands you can't get anywhere else like Kokie and Doll Face. They have one cashier I try to avoid because he constantly goes into other local businesses and shouts at people about Trump and calls them sheep, and tries to tell everyone how bad the Covid vaccine is. He has a variety of wildly inappropriate topics to bring up to customers while he is at work as well. Last time I was there, their seasonal shelves were wiped out like everywhere else in town. You used to be able to get shoes here--not anymore! Fishing and camping gear went away too. read more

Feels like a big gas station convenience store. It has the most basic 'stuff' around. Things like a 6 pack of Q-tips, or a small tub of ice cream -- expensive. These items are generally described as essential, but I have walked in and out empty handed on multiple occasions. Very dirty environment, very unfriendly staff. If you need the previously mentioned 'stuff,' they may have some. Restroom situation is spotty at best, but they do have one. read more

I left my purse on the counter and left the store. I discovered my mistake about a hour out of town pulling a travel trailer on our way to the redwoods. This Rite Aid is pretty epic considering it's in Fort Bragg. It's got not only your basic drug store necessities but also fleeces, sweatshirts, fishing gear and a decent size grocery section. We stopped here on Thanksgiving day for some soda and waters and will probably be back for snacks again this weekend. They even have a selection of live Christmas trees out front! Very clean, bright, wide aisles and plenty of parking. read more

Overall : Affordable products Horrible Customer Service Unorganized Store Long Story: Went here as a stop during a roadtrip. We had asked if we could use the bathroom before shopping around, but they took so long that we ended up looking around anyway. We thought maybe they forgot and so, we asked again. When they opened the bathroom door they made excuses and had a lot of attitude like staring us down while opening the door. Not to mention the bathroom was unusable. We ended up just leaving. I usually like rite aid, the staff is usually friendly but not this one. Would probably not come back. read more

NO ICE CREAM FOR ME I love love love love Thrifty's ice cream counters, located within SOME Rite-Aid stores. This store is not one of those but our cashier did mention that they have a counter inside the other Fort Bragg location. We played on the mechanical helicopter out front before going in to look for a beach shovel. The store was well-organized and we found it quickly. There was actually a huge selection of shovels, all at what we thought were relatively low-priced. We grabbed a smaller one and headed out. We did make a stop in the fishing aisle to look around. It was pretty well-stocked. Guess this is a coastal town. I wish my Rite-Aid in Concord had a fishing section this big. Then again, my Rite-Aid has an ice cream counter. For the win. read more

So I don't normally review drug stores..as someone else said. After reading the reviews about the fishing dept. and no ice cream counter I went in to check it out. So here's the update as of 10/1/20 they no longer have fishing but they do have ice cream. I asked an associate as to why and he said he believed the company was "changing its image"?? Now that isn't official,just what 1 associate said. The reason for the 4 stars is the people in this store were very friendly, and in my opinion and experience rite aid seems to have the best beer/alcohol prices on a regular basis. Ownership of this pharmacy must have changed recently as the service level has drastically decline. I waited in line for 40 minutes listening to arguments between the staff & the five customers in line ahead of me. They cut Saturdays & evening hours out so a body needs to cut work hours to use this place. Been a client here for 32 years but that is about to change. read more

If it was possible to leave a negative review for this place, I would. Recently i went to rite aid and had the worst possible customer service ever, almost every time I go there the employees act very inappropriate towards me, a minor, and most of the employees are in their 40s. But that's just previous experiences, when I went the other day to purchase some makeup the employees were very rude towards me and wouldn't stop following around the store as if I had done something wrong, they were closer than six feet and almost wouldn't leave my side the whole time, I thought maybe they wanted to talk to me so i tried starting a conversation but he ignored me and continued to follow me, finally i was so uncomfortable i just put all my stuff back and left. read more

I just gotta say I love to shop in a place where the real alcoholics go to unabashedly buy their big plastic bottles of alcohol. No shame, no pretending, no stuffing the cart with other camouflage products when really, all you wanted was the booze. The lady in front of me had her gallon of vodka: the guy behind me his plastic jug of brandy. And that's all. Really. Plus, this Rite aid still has an ice cream counter - which is awesome. And, of course, they had the usual assortment of necessary teenager grooming products so it was all good. read more

Don't go here for photo developing! They are very disorganized, to say the least. They are great for makeup, hair products, greeting cards, housewares, garden products, etc. There is another Rite Aid in the Boatyard Center. I was so tired - we had been camping. By the time I got here, I had been to three stores trying to collect a variety of things we needed. the last thing on my list was something in particular for dogs. I couldn't find it. When I was in the check out, the clerk asked if I found everything I needed and I said I wished they had this particular item. She said "yes, we have them" and rushed off to the far end of the store to get me a selection! great service. Not happy with this place, main reason is there was a long line and this guy was walking around with an upset/ blank face going to the clerks tegostwr and not hearing me tell him if hes opening a register. The only clerk on regoster was chitchatting and not even giving a D.*#.mn that theres a line. Then that guy comes over to relief the clrk and still ignoring me. We were on our way to Seattle. After arriveing in Fort Bragg in a fogging chill day, we stayed in for a night. it is our surprised that there are two RA in such a small town. After went in looking for bandaid, we met several nice folks working in late hours. They gave us personal service and help us picked what we need. There is only one cashier open and we are one of the two customers. The staff opened an other cashier just for a 5 dollor purchase. I was truely impressed. read more

If it weren't within walking distance from home I would not shop here for anything other than prescriptions at the pharmacy. The place is inadequately staffed with people who seem to have received nothing in the way of customer service training. They obviously can't stand their jobs and don't seem to mind letting that spill over to customer's overall experience. They fired their store manager about a year ago, and I have yet to see anyone seemingly in that roll. I was in there tonight shortly before closing time in the hopes that there would not be very many customers, and I could get in and out relatively quickly. Alas no, there was one register open near the photo area and a line of customers about six people deep. There were two other employees wandering around looking as if they didn't know what they were supposed to be doing. While I was still about two customers back, someone came on the loudspeaker to inform people they would be closing in five minutes and to take their purchases to the register. Then they turned half of the lights off in the place to give everyone the extra hint. For gosh sake, if you want to go home after working your shift, then get behind a register and check out your customers who would like to go home as well! The sooner we pay for our stuff, the sooner you can go home. Simple as that. I use this one example, but please understand this is pretty indicative of every visit. If I can avoid it I usually shop somewhere else. When I'm faced with the fact that I have to go to Ride Aid, I have to steel myself and get ready for a bad, and very long, experience. This isn't how your customers, especially your locals, should feel about your store. If you work here and you read these posts, please realize that I'm speaking for all of the other customers as well who I'm in line with, and we are fed up over your lack of customer service. We're going to CVS if at all possible to avoid your store. That's saying a lot when people would rather shop at CVS than your store. Seriously. read more

I went to Rite Aid for photo developing after going to CVS (Longs) and finding out they could not process film due to some technical difficulty. I had a very good experience at Rite Aid on Main Street downloading from a USB flash drive. Pics ready in an hour (could have gotten them instantly for a slightly higher fee) and the quality was just fine. read more
