I stopped at this Rite Aid to try to find a semi-obscure candy I had been able to get at Rite Aids until fairly recently. It was late at night and at first I couldn't tell if they were open but the doors slid open for me and I browsed around. Bought a few snacks though I couldn't find the candy I wanted. Staff was polite and professional. The store was clean, well lit and very well stocked for Christmas already. Lots of decorations, candy and toys. Ample parking and conveniently located just off I-5. Even after dark it felt like a safe area to be in. read more

Most of the staff are helpful with the exception of Elena. I came in with my African American friend and while in line I overhead her saying derogatory remarks about him. When I confronted Her, she denied everything with a sarcastic smile. I hope rite aid does the right thing my addressing this issue read more

Raya was super kind and helpful with an Instacart order I had, showing me where every item was. Other staff are not as friendly but the store layout is not too confusing and there's definitely a variety at this store. read more

The pharmacy at this location is great if you have Leo working with you. He is very sweet and attentive and even remembers customers by name! However, if you end up working with Faith you will get very unkind service. She is often rude and makes it seem like you are inconveniencing her when she has to support you. It is important for those who work a pharmacy to be able to have at least a little "bedside" manner. I feel so bad for everyone who has to work with Faith. But, if you happen to go in and get Leo you will be well taken care of. read more

This is a good pharmacy location. They also offer a service where they automatically refill your prescription monthly and then call you to pick it up. The drawback is that it is usually busy. I have found that later in the day towards closing time it is less busy. The Rite Aid has also been recently remodeled and it is now very attractive and bright and has made shopping more enjoyable. This location also has a Thrifty Ice cream on site, which is fabulous! You can get deicious ice cream and then you can eat it outside by the fountain in one of the tables. read more

I only really shop at this Rite Aid to pick up my prescription so this review is mainly aimed at the pharmacy. While all the staff is great there, Briana(?) and Ali always make my experience at Rite Aid a joyful one. They seem to really care about the customer and are always very quick and efficient when helping people. Theres other stores closer to my home but i choose to go here because of people like them. read more

went in for ice cream and the lady up front was an asshole. get better employees working the cash register who are more friendly

Calling from a physician's office on hold for 30+ minutes having to redial into the pharmacy listening only to awful loud noise called "music" only to be told a post-op patient cannot fill his pain medication. Obviously the phone tree needs help with additional options and information on how long the hold time may be so the caller can choose to call back. Like everywhere good help is hard to find. I do appreciate our pharmacists and the pressure they are under. read more

Rite aid more than earned their low yelp rating today. I made a very specific request of the pharmacy and their cashier told me what he was going to do. I explained that that is not what I wanted and he still did it (moron). I asked to speak to the manager and all she could do is comment on my use of the word "hell". She said nothing regarding her employees incompetence. Incompetence starts at the top at this location. Clearly they don't care since their rating is bad and they continue the same behavior. I wish their stock holders could see how they drive customers away read more

Awful customer service. Especially if your dealing with faith. She is very rude and doesn't know how to do her job. I will never use rite aid because of her rudeness read more

Arrived for my Covid immunization on time, waited 15 minutes before anyone showed up. Told them I was there for my 10 am appointment & was informed that they had to do things behind the counter before they could help me. No apology, no explanation. Waited another 10 minutes. They are great online, making the appointment was easy. I received several reminders to be on time but no more than 5 minutes early. Seems as if corporate needs to send the local store reminders & some education on customer service. read more

First time here at the pharmacy. The clerk acted annoyed when I asked her to tell me the prices for 3 RX's. She told me to call my insurance company even tho I was standing in front of her deciding whether to fill the scripts here or at CVS. Went to CVS where a very nice clerk typed a few things into the computer and told me the cost. CVS got my business. Clerk at rite aid was rude and acted like she hated her job. Will write her name later. The store is pretty but the clerk in the pharmacy today thursday at noon should find a new job. read more

I love this pharmacy!! I've been a regular customer for over ten years. They always have what I'm looking for. The store is always well stocked and clean! The staff is great! I especially appreciate the tech named Leo. He is the best!! Leo always knows everyone's name and he's so pleasant. The manager is responsive as well. No idea why they have low reviews because I highly recommend this Rite Aid!! read more

Went in today to get sore throat drops mid morning, the older blond hair lady working there was so rude to me did not even acknowledge me when I was next, she gave me a dirty look like I was violating something. Did not say a word to me, I really believe she was racist due to the dirty look she gave me and probably thought I did not speak English. Little does she know I have a graduate degree. She was kind and nice and kind to the old gentleman right before me. Don't come here if you are anything but European they are going to treat you with disrespect. If you see a older blond lady working on the front register go somewhere else! read more

Service: I have always only had mediocre service at Rite Aid. The employees aren't very personable ever as compared to Ralphs and other stores. I went here looking for propane for a small grill. I circled the store twice and couldn't find anything. I passed by an employee twice and I didn't get asked for any help at all. Turns out they didn't have any at all. They didn't have anything there that was related to a BBQ. This is shocking because it is right up the street for a very nice beach camp ground. Parking: lots of parking outside in a shared lot. Atmosphere: it's under construction at this time so not everything was stocked and a lot of shelves were empty. I got what I needed from Ralphs next door and Ralphs is usually a little cheaper, but way more crowded. Ice Cream: amazing and you gotta try it!They don't have anything fancy, just straight up ice cream. read more

I have visited this Rite Aid (store # 5622- off Avenida Encinas) and actually very well stocked most of the time! I like the store and very convenient... As for the pharmacy, I have visited over the last few months (as well as my sister with a couple twin boys) and the service manager/assistant in pharmacy is BEYOND rude! A taller blonde lady (5'8), mid-fifties with a vile personality... I wish I had her name for review... I do not but I will get it! There are so many people out of work these days... This person in this Rite Aid pharmacy should be replaced with another, CLEARLY.... I will be writing to corporate and store manager for paper trail... Hopefully something will be done to make sure this creature is let go or given a good slap in the face to straighten her attitude up.... So sad to see angry people like this that are actually getting paid... Angelique Walters read more

Consumers Report rated 58 Pharmacy's and as I expected, Rite Aid was ranked in the BOTTOM 8 in overall poor performance and being the top 8 for being an expensive Pharmacy in the USA. Staffing at the Poinsettia location is below standard when it come to customer care, as in they do not care when it comes to returning a defective item that does NOT work right out of the box! I take blame for not keeping the receipt. My bad. So they stick me with a 50% restocking charge! $80 gone to the X-Mass party fund! Now looking into this, I found out the store can in fact look up and confirm my purchase. And it's on video as well! However, the hide behind their policy of no receipt, then we steal from you! And they will not look up any transaction for you. Their a Billion dollar company and I am an average citizen. So why should they provide service! Now I have to take this up their corporate latter to get my $80 back. I am not going to let a billion company walk over me for $80 or anybody else they stiffed. I have shopped here for 9-years. My bank statement shows over $7,000 in that time and that's with insurance. So actual dollars spent would exceed $20k based on their insurance reimbursements! And they are willing to walk away from that revenue over an $80 return. Okay, I can see the no receipt concept.... until I think of the level of service Home Depot has. No receipt, no problem, we have your transaction right here! Here's your money back. So the bench mark is set and Rite Aid Fails! Good bye Rite Aid! read more

I like this particular Rite Aid. They have a wide range of product, decent prices, excellent sale prices and courteous and helpful employees. I had to giggle when I read another review of this store that bashed the female employees here for somehow being unkind and cold. Oh lord, lol----the old "I'm too beautiful for other women to like me" nonsense. My experience has always been that people (being only human) tend to hand back what they're dished out: so treat any human being with a superior or frigidly demanding manner and don't bother to be surprised if they choose to not bubble over with enthusiasm to serve you. Plenty of easy to find, free parking. Great selection and good pharmacists. Bonus Tip: Sign up for their free rewards card. It all adds up over time and will save you significant money. read more

It's a one stop shop- it's convenient for things you may need when u need a quick stop. However, the staff here isn't too friendly. I always wonder why most women hate other women so much.. Maybe it's just me, but the women here can't even crack a smile when I'm checking out.. UPDATED 9/7/15- I have had better experiences here recently- employees have been friendly and helpful and quick to check out customers waiting in line. My previous experience turned me off when the gal working the register was flirting with a couple guys in front of me, and noticed I was getting a little impatient so she hurried along. When I approached the register I wasn't greeted nor did I receive a smile. To back my last review up- I did approach the front desk with a "hi, how are you" and a smile as I always do.. (I worked customer service for 5 years I'm used to it). Since I have never had to look for an item I needed, and everything is always in stock. I'll be back as usual since it's close to my home. read more

Rite Aid holds a special place in my Yelping heart. If ever I need to burn 20 minutes this place always comes through. Now that we're approaching the holiday season you will see a spike in As Seen on TV products, celebrity perfume, various hard liqueurs packaged as "gifts", and dancing Santa's but that just intensifies my love for this land of random. Ummm, may I have an scoop of chocolate ice cream please? Yes, consuming sugar while shopping for "other things I should not buy" seems appropriately ironic. Ohhhhh look they have the greatest 1 hit wonders from 1986...on cassette. That would make a perfect stocking stuffer. I'll take 10 please. Lookie here folks the new perfume of Honey Boo Boo has hit the shelves....that would be great for somebody right? OMG disposable douches...all my friends are getting these for Christmas! Yes, Rite Aid you always make me smile. I give this purveyor of awesomeness 8.5 "ninja impulse buys" outta 10. read more

The worst. My doctor called in the Rx twice, apparently talked directly to the pharmacist, I drove over here twice (because they don't pick up the phone) and there is no record of the Rx and the pharmacist was first on break and second time, gone for the day. Ridic. read more

I have all my prescriptions filled at this location. Usually the line for prescriptions is long and takes about ten to fifteen minutes just for a simple pick up. But that's really the only negative thing about this location. The whole store has recently been upgraded and it's looking amazing! Very clean and bright, modern and stylish. The rows all go in different directions now, so at first it seems difficult to navigate but just look up at the ceiling and you'll find large round headers with each areas name lite up. The makeup area has a lot more light, the displays are even lit up! Very impressive, Rite Aid! All the staff is friendly and helpful with any questions you might have. This location is a great one now that it's been redone. read more

Now I know why I transferred my persciptions from this pharmacy I'm helping my friend who's sick. She called rite aid and they told her scrip would be ready at 11. I go in at noon. The girl tells me it's not ready. I tell her they said it would be ready in a hour. She informs me (with a angry tone) that they only have two people on If your short handed don't tell someone on the phone it's only gonna be a hour let us know what's going on And maybe it's time to get a job where the public isn't involved!!! I went to Rite Aid Store# 05622 located at 7100 Avenida Encinitas, Carlsbad, CA 92011 and had an unpleasant experience. Cashier# 56222821 was unwelcoming and standoff-ish, as though she did not want to help me. She looked at me with an attitude and an undertone of racism; it's an unmistakeable feeling. As a black women I have encounter racism at various points in my life and can tell it when I see it. This is the second time I've been to this store with this vibe and I think it may be the same cashier; not certain. She prepared my ice cream and check me out with an odd attitude the whole time. It made me very uncomfortable and I will avoid this store from now on. This was at 2:17pm, Sunday 8/31/14 with Transaction# 801205 for 2 ice cream products. This cashier needs to be trained in customer service, as she is making the impression of the store as a racist establishment but I've been to many other Rite Aida and know this issue is specifically employees at this store. Hopefully the general manager has an opportunity to investigate this employee before she affects future customers as she did me today. read more

Now I know why they have a low rating. My husband I are on vacation & we're running out of dollar bills, so we decided to go to the nearest Rite Aid. I got myself a clear nail polish as I needed to fix my nails. So we entered $20 for cash back. She heard talked about needing dollar bills but instead gave us a whole $20. I asked her if we could get some dollar bills instead & she got snappy at me. I told her that we just need some & doesn't have to be the whole $20. That's the only time she broke it & gave us 5 $1...I wouldn't go back to this store when we visit again. I get way better service at our Rite Aid where we live than this snooty place. read more
