She had a very specific craving that night: Chili's Southwestern egg rolls. That's a hard craving to solve locally. Then we found out Santa Fe Cattle Company does their own version, so that settled where we were going. They were better. Not a decent substitute, actually better than the thing she was craving. She got her fix and then some, which I did not expect walking in. I went with a burger and it was juicy and cooked exactly how I asked. Atmosphere was good, and the overall food quality was a lot higher than I was expecting from a place I'd driven past plenty of times. I think we've found our new go-to whenever she's in Fort Payne, which honestly solves a recurring problem for us.

I was glad to try it on this visit. It's impressively large inside and so there's tons of space to spread out so you can have peace and quiet to work or read or space to gather with friends. It was fairly empty and quiet when I visited but it was later in the afternoon for a coffee. They also have a small selection of goods that would make nice gifts, such as tea bags and honey. The employee working was very nice and we chatted a little about the new specialty drink she was workshopping. The drink menu is creative and has a lot of different options. They also have sandwiches and other light lunch options. I asked her what her favorite drink was and she said she liked the honeybee latte (espresso with vanilla syrup and honey) extra sweet. I replied that I like a little coffee in my dessert and asked her to make me one. It was out quickly and looked yummy - maybe a tiny bit small for the price but nothing egregious. Overall, I liked the drink. The ground cinnamon on top was a nice touch. I'm glad she made it extra sweet because regular might not have been quite enough for me. I did think the vanilla had a slightly artificial taste to it that I didn't love, but it also wasn't egregious. I'd probably try a different latte if I return just to explore the other options and see if I found one I liked better, but again, overall, I was satisfied with my experience. This place is worth a visit if you're needing caffeine or a good place to hang out in the area.

They really put their own millennial style to it and have ruined the taste of everything. At first I didn't even know they had new ownership, I hadn't been in a while and decided to come and try the new location out because I was visiting home and missed the food from here. I decided to get a little bit of everything so I could reminisce over the flavor I loved. Instead I was met with very dry chicken, and smaller pieces too for more money, and the jojos were my favorite but now they're kinda soggy? And I decided to buy a BBQ slider just to try it because I mean their name is literally BARBECUE PLACE, and it was the worst thing on the plate. I mean it wasn't bad but it wasn't good either, it's just default, bland, basic food. I will say the fries were good which is the only reason why I left 2 stars and not 1. Also I ordered their signature sauce but it turns out you can just get it for free in the restaurant so that was awesome having to spend a little extra money on something I didn't need to. - Rest in Peace Barbecue Place, you had a special place in my heart.

Our waitress, Abby, couldn't have been better, very familiar with the menu and created a relaxed visit. The food: we ordered a Classic burger, was cooked perfect, the Bartender made the drinks great. We ended up seating ourselves, and even after I went to the bathroom and came back, still no one had greeted us, offered a drink, or even said, "Someone will be right with you." What made it worse was that there were two employees in the back folding silverware, but neither one seemed interested in helping. We were basically told the waitress was "in the bathroom," and that was it. No effort, no urgency, no customer service at all. We even had to grab our own menus. If business is slow, you would think staff would be even more motivated to take care of the people who do come in. Instead, it felt like nobody cared whether we stayed or left. That kind of attitude is probably part of the reason the place is slow to begin with. We left and went elsewhere for lunch. Would not recommend based on this experience. April 20, 2:36 PM. I guess you guys don't need the business doesn't make any sense to me but OK and the waitresses work on Tips doesn't make sense to me as well and why the hostess is sitting in the back versus being out front to greet customers is always interesting as well. Update just asked Josh a Cracker Barrel. He just got a $30 tip. I don't know why you guys don't wanna make money doesn't make sense but Josh did a great job at Cracker Barrel. You got 30 bucks tip too bad you guys were I don't know not willing to earn money I don't know how to describe it. It's really strange.
