This is literal pig slop food. "Carne Asada" tacos are dog food looking gray gristle meat in a puddle of grease - no cilantro, and disgustingly wet with some weird red sauce and sour cream. Told the waitress this was inedible and she agreed. She was very sweet and tried to switch it out, recommended shrimp tacos. Lo and behold shrimp tacos are pieces of shrimp in super greasy corn tortillas SWIMMING in oil - literally pools of grease - and at least a pound worth of melted jack cheese. Absolutely disgusting. This is unlike any normal "Taco" I have ever known. Maybe you might like this place if you came from a diabetic nursing home from the Midwest. If you are from Southern California or Mexico... skip. Service was great. Food - just dont eat it. Literally DISGUSTING. read more

We had grub at Harrahs cafe that was ok, so we decided to give Ritas a shot.. The food was excellent! I had asada tacos. The meat was seasoned well, and I asked if they had spicier salsa. Can't say much about this restaurant. The food was average but the service was horrible. The server walked past our table five or six times before acknowledging that we were there. After asking her a question and received her rude response I was ready to leave, but my friends said to ignore her obviously she was new to her job. You would think a restaurant with mediocre food would try to make it up with excellent service, but not here. Also they could not decide on plastic vs glassware. My friend and I ordered the same drink, hers was put in a plastic cup and mine was put in a glass. read more

Went during brunch. No wait. Restaurant was clean, spacious, and bright. Nice view of the pool area. Service was slow, but our waitress was very nice. Crispy Birria Tacos were delicious, but the consume was salty. Didn't really need it though because the meat and cheese weren't dry. Tacos were nice and crunchy. Rice and beans were good. Birria-quiles was good but so salty. We couldn't finish it. It needed guacamole and more crema. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't order again. read more

We enjoyed it, for the most part. The chicken enchiladas were tasty but lacked enough chicken. The chicken quesadilla, on the other hand, was packed with chicken. Definitely enough to share if you are both just a little hungry. Note, they are closed a few days during the week (Tuesday to Thursday) and they are the kitchen for The Dive. So...if you want Mexican food on those days, you are out of luck. Also, if you want a variety of food at the pool during those days, you are also out of luck (kind of like the way most of their slot machines treat the players!). But, on the days they are open, we enjoy eating there. If you are a margarita fan (get it, 'Rita's, short for margaritas?), they have huge ones for you. Also, if you are staying at the hotel and have leftover chips, take them with you when you are done. They remained crispy for a few days and my wife enjoyed them for days after. Be careful which item you pick, maybe be sure to mention it if the chicken is light in your enchiladas and...enjoy!!! read more

I had a good experience eating at Rita's Cantina located inside of Harrah's. We ate here the first night for dinner and it is conveniently located right next to the pool, in fact their outdoor seating overlooks one of the pools. It's a festive friendly ambiance and on this particular night it was pretty busy but we were able to get a table right away. Our waiter was super nice and brought out water and chips and salsa very quickly. They do have a pretty good selection of food but the prices are a little more than usual, granted it is inside of a casino. Other than that we ordered the pozole and Los homeritos plate which were both pretty tasty. This is a great choice for a casual quick dinner. read more
