Fancy menu - describing the flavorless food
Isabel S.

Terrible service and mediocre Mexican food. The waitress didn't know anything about the menu, was rude when I asked how to use the casino credit and didn't come back to our table. Maybe bc the tip is included in our large party she didn't care. Food was bland, no spice no flavor. Salsa had good consistency but very flat. Literally no chile or spicy sauce available. Decor is nice but maybe they need to focus on the food.

We were really excited to try Terra Mar, especially since we frequently visit Harrah's and were curious about their new upscale Mexican concept. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to our expectations. The warm chips, flavorful salsa, fresh guacamole, and delicious margarita were definitely the highlights. My Shrimp Diabla, however, was a different story. The shrimp were served whole, heads and shells included, making them extremely difficult to eat. After all that work, there wasn't much shrimp to enjoy, and the taste was just okay. Next time, I'll need a bib and plastic gloves ..like a crab boiler! For the price, I expected more. My husband actually enjoyed his shrimp enchiladas, so that was a plus. The menu is somewhat limited, though and nothing really stood out as a must have. Once we were seated, even the decor felt a little underwhelming for an upscale restaurant. Our server was wonderful and very attentive, which we truly appreciated. Overall, we wanted to love Terra Mar, but I think we'll give it some time before returning. Maybe they just need a little time to work out the small glitches. We'll see!

I had the opportunity to try Tierra y Mar out a few days ago with my mom and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised but how good the food was. They started us off with a round of chips and salsa which were good. Only a single round is included, if you want any more you have to pay. We ordered the salmon zarandeado, enchiladas ranchers, y fajitas se pollo y carne asada. Everything was delicious. I do have to say I will the salmon had a bit more seasoning or came with a salsa like the salsa cruda from the fajita spread. The salmon was cooked very well. The sauce on the enchiladas was very flavorful as well. The salsa that came with the fajitas were all excellent! My mom really enjoyed her fajitas. Our server was great. However I was a bit turned off when we first checked in and were told to come back 30 minutes later as they were trying to spread out customers although the restaurant was nowhere near capacity. Not even 50% full. Maybe they were short-staffed? Would I come back? If I was in the area, yes for sure! I do wish they made their own tortillas though. That would make it 10/10!

The food was really tasty we both had the mole enchiladas and loved them. They also gave us chips and salsa which were good as well. We sat at the bar because we didn't have reservations and didn't feel like waiting for a table. Order a beer and the watermelon margarita. This restaurant is way better then the Mexican restaurant thy had before. The ambiance at the was good they had sports playing and just a good atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

There's something exciting about being one of the first people to try a brand-new restaurant. A few coworkers and I noticed Tierra y Mar had just opened, so after work we decided to check it out and see what they were all about. We kicked things off with a chicken quesadilla to share. It was a great starter. The chicken was tender, the cheese was perfectly melted, and it disappeared from the table pretty quickly. For my entrée, I ordered the steak fajitas, and they absolutely delivered. The steak came out sizzling on a bed of peppers and onions with a giant poblano pepper that really tied the whole plate together. I also appreciated all the different sauces that came with it because it let you mix up the flavors with every bite. The beans were solid, but the Spanish rice deserves a shout-out because that stuff was hitting. Dessert was a tale of two experiences. I had high hopes for the churros, and while they were good, they didn't quite steal the show. The choco flan, however, absolutely did. Rich, smooth, and the perfect way to end the meal. For a restaurant that's just getting started, I walked away impressed. If you're looking for a more upscale Mexican dining experience with quality food and a polished atmosphere, I'd definitely recommend giving Tierra y Mar a try.

Really looking forward to this opening. July 22nd opening. Looks like it's going to be an upscale Mexican restaurant. Looks fancy. We'll see

Side salad - great for $5!!!

Delicious and lovely meal here on Thursday night. Made a res via OpenTable but was plenty of seating if you didn't do that beforehand. My husband and I shared the Steak & Chicken Fajitas, Fish Taco Plate, and a side salad (elote dressing so good). Perfect amount of food for two. LOVED the variety of salsas with the fajitas (esp the "raw" salsa with garlic) and it was made with quality meat and veggies. My fish tacos were very greasy though and the breading was too thick (so inside was mushy and barely any fish)...flavor was nice despite that and I enjoyed the beans and rice it came with. Chips also very greasy too (off night or something to fix????). Service was efficient and I liked the ambiance.

I enjoyed the upscale dining experience without the upscale prices. This restaurant decor was very modern compared to the casino it is in which isn't my favorite . We came for my husband's birthday . We enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa they were delivered fresh to our table . We ordered mole enchiladas which were very tasty they came with beans and rice . Rice wasn't good the texture was weird and the flavor was off . We also ordered the carne asada quesadilla it was good but I think I should have ordered the fajitas. I would definitely return to this restaurant .

Fajitas with veggies at Rita's Cantina

I wanted to love this place, but it just missed the mark. This restaurant replaced Rita's at Harrah's Rincon Southern California. The positive was it was pretty and a good amount of seating. Starting with the drink : Cadillac Margarita for $29. Tasted like a very weak , mix made margarita. Small glass, nothing exciting not worth $29. Then the food, everything looked pleasing, and was plated nicely, and was tasty but on the bland side. Portion sizes very small, and prices very high. This was such a huge disappointment as we loved Rita's and this place was Bland and expensive. We used to love the Rita's fajitas - they came with rice and beans and sour cream and all kinds of great sauces. We would plan a trip just to go there. This was nothing in comparison. The employees were all very nice and our all time favorite server Iris works there. She is a 5 star exceptional employee. Unfortunately even though we go to Harrah's often, we would not return here for dinner. We might possibly try the brunch. Lastly they even changed the salsa ! The salsa used to be epic and authentic & now it's watery and bland. So sad! Our favorite restaurant is gone, and the new one appears to be trying to high end, but definitely missed the mark. Please see below for photos of the current food, and what it used to be at Rita's.

Had a great meal at the new Tierra Y Mar. Bartenders took good care of us. We ordered both the carne asada fajitas and the carne con Papas. Both were cooked to our request and were delicious. It is worth trying out, we did not have the pozole but it looked good also. Enjoy!!!

Came to eat dinner here before the Anuhea concert at Harrah's and we were stuffed! The food tasted absolutely delicious. I ordered the ribeye steak and suadero tacos while the wife ordered the fajitas. The flavor of these dishes gave us nostalgic feels. Jan, our server was super nice and checked up on us consistently. The restaurant was very dim lit and the noise level wasn't too bad. A lot of seating but I would make reservations in case because you never know if people get hungry after winning jackpots at the slots. Definitely worth checking out with your significant other

We burrito to-go
Wilfredo A.

Ordered to-go today, 8/11/26, around 7:30 PM. Unfortunately, the customer service was very disappointing. The two employees working behind the bar--I'm not sure if they were bartenders or servers--were not friendly or welcoming at all. After I paid, there was no "thank you," no "see you in 20 minutes," or any kind of acknowledgment. I asked, "Is that it?" and the employee with the long curly hair and glasses simply said, "Yes, give it 10 minutes." When I came back to pick up my order, as soon as I walked in, he just pointed toward my to-go order. I grabbed it and left. Come on, guys--it's a brand-new restaurant! A little enthusiasm, friendliness, and basic customer service can make a huge difference. First impressions matter. The food was okay, ( the beans inside the burrito were not cooked all the way so some were hard) but unfortunately, the service really took away from the experience.

Shrimp Aquachile
Dennis M.

Tierra y Mar gets a lot right. The hostess was warm from the start, which always helps. I opened with a Tequila Old Fashioned--because tequila dressed up as an Old Fashioned seemed like the appropriate move here. Then came the Shrimp Aguachile, and that was the dish that made the night. Bright, spicy, cold, messy in the right way, and the kind of thing you keep going back to even after telling yourself you're done. The shrimp and steak fajitas were solid--hot, generous, and exactly what fajitas should be. The Siete Mares was another winner: rich broth, plenty of seafood, and no shortage of flavor. We ate in the dining room, which was perfectly nice, but next time I'm taking a seat at the bar. The bartenders were friendly, accommodating, and seemed like the kind of people you'd happily spend a couple hours with over tequila and another round of aguachile. Good food. Good drinks. No unnecessary nonsense. We'll be back.

I HOPE SOMEONE FROM MANAGEMENT SEES THIS... WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?!?…read more My son & I stop at least 1-2 times per week for breakfast burritos & we stop for lunch often as well, it has been very inconsistent. I keep thinking maybe the usual cook is on vacation on something, but it's only getting worse. When I was in a few days ago another couple were complaining about their order & they informed me that a when a certain gentleman is working they won't even order anymore because he is making the burrito's half the size they use to. Which is the problem we are having also. They raised the price to 15 dollars a burrito & most days they are coming out half the size they use to & with hardly any meat & mostly potatoes. I didn't the 15 which is ridiculous for a breakfast burrito, but I agree with the couple that was complaining, I'm not going to pay 15 for half the size, when I can go down the street & get two for 8 bucks. The food is so hot and miss also. I love the taquito's platter for lunch. One day I will order and it will be great & the next they are so burned & hard as rock I can't even chew them. THE LADY CASHIER IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL...I DO HOPE MANAGEMENT SEES THIS & GET'S TRAINING ALL STAFF ON HOW TO BE CONSISTENT & HOW TO MAKE EVERYTHING CORRECTLY, SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR GOING TO GET EVERY TIME. I love to support small businesses/mom & pop places, but if a change doesn't happen, then I will take my business down the road.

Fantastic Find: Cocina de Ledezma…read more After a hike, I was on the hunt for some great local Mexican food and found La Cocina de Ledezma--what a gem! The food was incredible and tasted fresh. I tried three different tacos and a Quesabirria, each packed with great flavor. Their birria was especially impressive--it's hard to find good birria! To top it off, there's a coffee cart across the lot with refreshing drinks. I had a Lotus energy drink, and my girl had a spritzer--both hit the spot after a long day outdoors. The service was as amazing as the food. The brother at the register was super friendly, sharing how they prepare everything with care, and his sister in the truck was incredibly sweet and courteous. The two girls at the coffee cart were also lovely and added to the welcoming atmosphere. Though I live far, I'll definitely be coming back. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for delicious food and great service.

Probablemente no regresaría.
