Pizza - 4/5 - Really good and everyone in the party loved it! Chicken Salad - 4/5 - A nice change from pizza and pasta in Italy... all ingredients were fresh. It didn't have any dressing but I didn't mind. Fries - 5/5 - The best fries I've ever had - I'd literally come back just for these. Service - 5/5 - My aunt accidentally broke a glass... they came and cleaned it up right away and really cared about us during the process. They didn't complain or make any faces and were so nice about it. Even outside of that, they were really quick with the service. Our waitress's name was Penelope and she was amazing. Atmosphere - 5/5 - Right near the colosseum and a nice bright ambiance inside the restaurant. A bit pricier than normal since it's beside a tourist attraction but still good! read more

We stopped because we wanted an outside table, and were told to wait inside until one opened up. Fine. Except once we were seated inside, we were basically abandoned. No one came to take our drink order, and when we asked a waiter, he brushed us off and said outside seating wasn't his responsibility -- apparently customer service isn't his responsibility either. We sat there for nearly an hour while people who had just arrived were being seated outside ahead of us. The food was laughably bad for the price: one piece of chicken, no sides, and some potato wedges split between us, plus three Aperol spritzes. The total came to €105.50, which is absurd even before you factor in the terrible service. No bread. No water. No effort. Just attitude. When my husband said he wasn't happy, the waitress snapped that we should feel lucky to have the privilege of sitting outside. That pretty much says everything about the place. The view was nice, but not nice enough to tolerate being treated like an inconvenience. We should have walked away the second we sat down. read more

Beautiful view and ambience! The waiter and hostesses were very accommodating and with positive attitudes . Gave great recommendations! Loved the pizza , pasta dishes we ordered , their recommendation on wine... it was perfection. We really went to the restaurant due to its prime Location , however we were pleasantly surprised by the food and amazing service. It's a must stop , must see, must try.... For a tourist trap, we were happily pleased with our meal. We needed someplace nearby before our night tour of the Colosseum, and this spot had decent reviews. Staff was busy, but still polite and kind. It did take a while to get our orders taken, but we can see our waitress had a lot of tables to serve. Food came out quick, and everything was delicious. We opted to dine in bc they had good AC, but you can also dine outside on the patio with Colosseum views. read more

Our waiter, Saeed, was great and so was the tiramisu! We would definitely return next time we're in Rome

Dyana was a superb wait staff member! I found this restaurant after doing a google search of "best restaurants" near the Roman Coliseum. It was spot on... We arrived and requested a table to view the coliseum for our meal. The staff was completely accommodating of our request. So, they gave us an internal seating space for drinks and alerted us as soon as an outdoor table became available. After getting a sidewalk table, we continued to have Dyana as our waitress. She proceeded to guide us through the menu and the choices she felt we might prefer (after hearing the ingredients we desired), and did I mention the VIEWS?!?!? I'm so incredibly happy with this booking. I feel fortunate to have eaten here and our meal was delicious! read more

Service was good and attentive, and the ambience was bright and inviting. The prosciutto pizza had great tasting prosciutto and parmesan, but the pizza was served cold. I especially ordered the uncooked prosciutto but the base should still have been warm out of the oven. Cold pizza is great the next morning but not when served at the restaurant. The chicken salad was fantastic, so that is a good option but the pasta tastes like it came out of a box and lacked flavor. There are way better pasta options in Rome. Even the Prosecco we ordered was sub-standard compared to what we have had across Rome. read more

Bugs in food. None the less, the service was amazing and the constant company I felt when I walked in really made me happy. The atmosphere of your restaurant wasn't too religious, wasn't too much of one color, it's very humble and nice. I would go again but the bug in the food was my cherry on top. I used to go here a lot but after this experience I will not anymore. I'm not saying you've lost a valuable customer, but it's safe to say I'm not coming here no more. read more

We found this restaurant after a quick search and it's in great viewing distance of the colosseum so we thought why not - and we're definitely glad we decided to stop inside! As we stepped inside we were pointed towards a table to sit at within a booth and overheard a conversation between servers about their pizzas being back in stock so my group figured we could share a couple of pizzas and courses between the four of us. We got 2 pizzas with prosciutto, Parmesan, and basil, as well as a pasta dish with tomato sauce mozzarella, and basil, and grilled fish. Service was prompt and the food came out quickly, although we were a bit surprised for being charged for water (another thing that's normal in the states but not as much in Europe). I really enjoyed the pasta dish with its fresh basil and flavorful red sauce - I felt like the ingredients were really brought out in this dish, and the green sauce that was drizzled on top really brought the dish together (unfortunately I'm not sure what it was...) dish. Unfortunately the fish was pretty overcooked and under seasoned for our taste, but the star of the show overall were definitely the pizzas! The bread was a bit thinner than what we're used to back in the states, and the cheese and sauce were spread out more thinly as well. That mixed with the prosciutto, Parmesan slices, and basil on top left me craving more after we had finished eating. read more

Our family just had dinner there. They charged service fee. One of the dishes was seafoods with ink noodle. It came with only 2 small shrimps and a few pieces of squids. We thought it's normal. But when we left, the same dish our next table ordered came with a lot of seafoods, at least 4 big shrimps and a lot of squids. Then we looked at the pictures online, we found pictures all had more seafoods. Maybe because we were the only Asian family tonight? read more

Views. Pretty much the highlight here but I will call out the excellent service too. Food was "ok" but not sure if the locals would agree. There is much better food elsewhere that's for sure. But the others don't come with the view. Not everyday you get to eat and drink comfortably in front of a wonder of the world. read more

Would give zero starts if I could. Horrible fatty meat. Gave us the wrong pasta dish. No one came to bring us water or ask about the meal. Great views but that is it. Come here for a glass of wine and the view. Go somewhere else for food. Came in the evening and the restaurant was empty. That should have been a sign. Google reviews are elevated. read more

My wife and I came here after visiting the colosseum. We waited for almost 25 minutes without any server acknowledging us. There was only one other party there so it wasn't because they were busy. While we were waiting, we saw an employee crying and getting yelled at by the manager. This caused 2 other servers to go console her. As a result, my wife and I sat for a long time before deciding to go elsewhere. read more

For a restaurant that seems to rely on taking advantage of tourists (huge tacky LED lights on the walls spelling out English phrases), the wait staff seems surprisingly contemptuous on those visiting from elsewhere, especially Asians. My family and I felt the service to be cold and condescending. The food we received was okay but not extraordinary, and our portion sizes were smaller than photos of the same dishes posted on Google Maps. read more

DO NOT COME UNLESS YOU WANT COLD AND UNSEASONED FOOD!! We came here because we had seen the reviews were good. I am literally writing this inside the restaurant. I ordered the clams and mussels as an appetizer and they were good. However, once our meals came, they were cold. I got the steak with potatoes. It had zero flavor. I had to add salt and pepper from the table to add flavor. My other two friends for pasta and it had no flavor as well. Please save your time and money and go elsewhere. It's over priced and not good. Spend your money where the food is worth it read more

Food looked appetizing but was pretty terrible. They took about 45 minutes to bring undercooked pasta. The service was also pretty terrible they don't check in on customers and took forever to take our order after being seated. This place is overrated in my opinion. The only thing I enjoyed was the music selection, that was good. read more

Everyone advises to steer clear of restaurants immediately outside of tourist attractions (they overcharge! they take advantage) but this eatery just outside the Colosseum seemed like just the perfect place for a little lunch after learning all about gladiators, lions, and such. I went with the burger described as CHIANINA BURGER 200gr, TOMATOES, LETTUCE WITH HOMEMADE ARTISAN BREAD, Chianina being a particular breed of Italian steer, formerly used as a work animal, but now raised primarily for beef. It was accompanied by lightly fried potatoes, reminiscent of the souffle potatoes one finds in New Orleans, just as light, but not as puffy. They were delicious as was the burger. I have found burgers in Italy to be a "denser" grind than in the US, which makes for a far more satisfying "chew." 200 grams is just over 7 ounces, a weighty patty. read more

Location is fantastic as Risotto della Salute is very close to the Colosseum. Food and pricing here is average compared to the other restaurants in Rome. Pasta and Pizza is typical. Cooked perfectly but without any memorable flavor. However, I will say that the waiter, Habib, has an excellent sense of humor and is friendly. He made our lunch enjoyable, thus bumping the rating up to 4 stars. read more

Mediocre food. To start off, we ordered bread. The waiter comes back 25 minutes later with a bag of bread. Legit bread served in a bag, wth?! And no plates or olive oil either. Other tables were given plates, so we asked for two and only got one. Strange. Very strange. Our half liter of water was €4. Yikes. The pasta with salmon was great, but the veal wasn't the best. I probably shouldn't have ordered veal to begin with. At least the side dish of mixed vegetables was awesome. The desserts, however, were amazing. All homemade, the waiter strongly recommended two: tiramisu and a chocolate lava cake. The tiramisu was great, as was the chocolate lava cake. Luckily these saved the night. read more
