We stayed nearby and walked past Ristorante Donna Sofia dal 1986 several nights, but we didn't eat there until our last day in Rome. After we did, we wished we had gone there sooner and more often. The restaurant is on a busy street filled with tourists, but the service was great, the atmosphere was cozy, and the food was excellent. Our waiter, whose name I don't remember, was fantastic and spoke English well. We started with a Caprese salad and a couple of drinks, then chose steak and meat lasagna for our main dishes. Everything was tasty and satisfying. We ate outside, enjoying our meal and our last night in Rome. read more
