Super clean , quaint little sandwich shop . My caprese sandwich on focaccia was out of this world and the service was stellar! The owner , Sean explained that the bread for my sandwich is actually flown in from Italy ! It was so light and crispy around the edges - unlike any focaccia I've ever had . It's a 40 minute drive for me but I'm gonna be craving that sandwich again tomorrow! The owner is so personable and warm . You can tell he cares a lot about the customer experience. He even gave us each a gigantic freshly baked chocolate chip cookie on the house ! Can't wait to come back! read more

Wonderful lunch spot! We finally managed to go after years of driving past it and wondering why so many cars were always there at lunch. I had the Durango chicken sandwich and it was very good! Tons of real chicken and delicious bacon with avocado and pepper jack cheese. The bread was tasty and definitely not the standard boring stuff you get at other sandwich places. I've lived here for almost three years and just visited this place for the first time! I have a feeling it's because they are only open until 2 or 3 in the afternoon...so you have to come for breakfast or lunch. I have heard from several people how delicious this place was, and stopped in here for lunch yesterday. I ordered the turkey, pear, and goat cheese sandwich, & my fiancé ordered the curry chicken sandwich so we could share. All I have to say is--delicious! Both were so good I couldn't pick a favorite. I did order the carrot salad that came as a side ( can choose from that, potato salad, pasta salad, Cole slaw, etc) and it was just okay. It a had pineapple and cinnamon in it, and I didn't really care for it. Next time I will try something else for a side. This place gets super busy at lunch time so just be prepared for that. This has become one of my go to sandwich places during COVID. I've been working at home since March 2020 so UberEats is getting a lot of my business. I ordered Rising Roll by chance and ended up loving it. My favorite is the Durango Chicken sandwich on a wheat boulle bun. It's a big sandwich with a ton of chicken and very fresh ingredients. I have also had the chicken salad which was tasty. The Cuban was ok. The egg salad is definitely very good. It is my husband's favorite. I will order a pound of egg salad for our dinner at times. Tried this gem for the first time! Came in a little before 1pm on a Monday for lunch. Only a couple people were in line, but the place was very busy! The line moved quickly. The guy that took my order was friendly and fast. You can order ahead online, which is a great option! I had the Chicken Salad sandwich on multigrain bread and pasta salad as my side. The chicken salad was perfect! Seriously, just the right mix of ingredients and the quality of the chicken was fabulous. The pasta salad wasn't anything special. Probably won't get it again. Love that they have outdoor shaded seating. They also have a rewards card they'll stamp for you every time you buy a sandwich to earn a free one. Very impressed with this place. First time I'd tried Rising Roll. I had the regular chicken salad sandwich and a cup of corn and poblano soup. I had to add salt and pepper to the soup and didn't get any poblano kick but it was tasty once I seasoned it a bit. The wheat bread was a bit overwhelming for the chicken salad so I ate it by itself. The chicken salad had good chunks of chicken but again, I had to season it. It was a bit bland. My husband had the Chicken Durango sandwich which was excellent. They even made his bacon crispy after he requested. We will try again to give their Cubano sandwich a try as well as the potato salad. Maybe next time, I'll add the apples, bacon and blue cheese to the chicken salad to see how it all works together. read more

My only complaint is I'd like more description of the sauces. For example I ordered the fire cracker chicken sandwich and there was horse radish in the sauce which I hate. Ruined the sandwich fir me. This place is alright. Contrary to what other folks think, I think there's plenty of lunch options in the area - especially when it comes to sandwiches/delis. I like the Rhythm and Blues sandwich, which is a chicken salad sandwich with blue cheese and bacon. Not cheap. Will cost you 8 bucks, but it includes a very small side of pasta, potato or cole slaw and a small whole pickle. There are usually two guys behind the sandwich bar, one that is really good at making the sandwiches and friendly. And there's another one that skimps on the portions and is rude. I would only purchase from this place if it was a free lunch. They have large portions and everything is good, but it can be a little dry sometimes. I've had the Firecracker Chicken and a few other sandwiches from there. They're all good, but just not something i'd pay my own money for. Rising Roll is one of those lunch places around Alpharetta that never knocks my socks off. But, I can always count on it to be satisfying. Rising Roll is your basic sandwich and soup place, the people are as friendly as any nice stranger is and but you don't interact with them much beyond placing the order, but either way they have always been pleasant. The atmosphere is a straightforward shop, relatively quiet and good eating atmosphere. Overall, the food is always fresh. The tomatoes are crisp and robust, the lettuce has a nice crunch, their potato salad always goes smoothly with the sandwiches. I had a California Turkey recently, which was as I just mentioned, nice and crisp. My normal is the Spicy Cuban, but I am going healthy and they do have plenty of choices for that. Either way, always a solid place to go. My overall recommendation is you won't love it, you won't hate it. But, you will be satisfied with your sandwich transaction. read more

Everything was ready and waiting for me when I arrived. The cashier went over each item in my order to make sure it was correct. As I mentioned in my first review, I like this place as a convenient location for breakfast. Unfortunately, they've torked me off with the simple fact that for over 4 months now, they STILL do not have hours on their door, much less on the website. Out of the 9-10 times I have stopped around 8:30, the door was unlocked only twice and I was served. Each other time, the lights are on, I see 3 or 4 uniformed employees inside doing nothing. I finally called today, and the person I spoke with didn't know their hours. I asked to speak to the manager, and after being on hold for 10 minutes (OK....probably only 3, but it seemed like 10 :-p), I finally spoke with someone identifying herself as manager. She said they don't have the hours listed anywhere because "we JUST changed the hours and have not got the new signs yet". #1, you don't need signs for your website and #2, it has been over 4 months since they have not had the hours on the door. I lost my patience and they lost 2 stinkin' stars. I would guess if you want to be sure they are open, call before going, or go between noon and 1 and I am pretty sure they are open for that hour, but I cannot promise anything else! read more
