I understand that after a certain amount of time, the circumstances might have changed, but refusing to go back out and verify that without another payment is absurd. Once I told them that I was ready to go, I had to wait another month before they finally told me that it would cost me another $100 to get them out there to verify the original bid, and they had no documentation of the bid other than some scribbled notes from the first visit. Go elsewhere. These folks aren't worth your time or money.

We had to rip out some of our soffit to get them out, and in doing so left a big hole that squirrels and possum started getting into. So we wanted to fix that, as well as go around the entire house and caulk up any other little holes to prevent wasps from doing it again in the future, along with keeping other bugs out. I reached out to 10+ companies/contractors and quite a few wouldn't do it because it was too small of a project. Then only 2 of 5 of them came out the day they said they would. Of those two, only EMC understood exactly what I was asking for and even found a piece of rotting wood under a window that needed to be replaced (the other company said our siding looked great and didn't need any other repairs ). And when the quotes came in EMC was significantly less expensive despite doing more work, since the other company was only repairing the soffit while EMC repaired that, caulked areas all along the house that needed caulking, and replaced that piece of wood. After I paid the bill, they got me in their schedule quickly and kept me updated on any changes as the weather caused some delays. Once here, they got everything fixed in less than a day, painted and cleaned up, and gave reccs on what else needs updating soon. Overall they were extremely knowledgeable, did great work, easy to communicate with, and reasonably priced. Will definitely come back to them if we need help on our next project.

He is very giving of his time, knowledge, and is the most collaborative of the 3 Architects we have used on the 2 other custom homes we have built. As an example, even before we signed a contract he made multiple site visits to give us his friendly professional insight about several lots we were considering before we selected the property we ultimately purchased. He was extremely accommodating and friendly throughout the entire process. Collaboration is his priority from the beginning and he made it very convenient through the use of screen share as we designed the home together. We were really impressed with the architectural 3D model that Daniel created. It was amazing that we were able to have a computer-generated 3D model to visualize the complete exterior as well as the outdoor entertaining, outdoor kitchen, and the pool and spa area. We were able to have the majority of our meetings in the evenings after we got off work and we even did a screen share to collaborate on our laptop while we were out of town visiting family. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about both the architectural and contractual aspects of building, but he seems to have a great instinct for what the client is looking achieve. He also had the desire to study alternatives and create several layouts that might make the most sense for the lifestyle we described. Their prices were comparable to the other 4-5 bids I got from other companies, but lower than a few. The reason I really liked them was the product was a steel pier that goes into the bedrock (sometimes 20') then it is welded in place instead of ither companies that use concrete caps on the top that may crack in the future. Their foreman had 30 + years experience and I felt confident he would not cause more damage to my home, if possible. They cleaned up and you could barely tell my house had work done afterwards. As a single mom I was extremely nervous of being taken advantage of and Derrick Green really made me feel like they cared, and wanted to do a good job. He helped make this process go as smoothly as possible.
