CenTex estimates were $1400-$5000 for a repair. We can buy a whole new furnace and ac unit for $5000! The part is covered under warranty, and it is a 2 hour job at most. We started asking questions, and now they won't share the details of their estimates and refuse to do the service. Out of frustration, my husband did raise his voice, but then apologized several times, and shook hands with the technician when he left. We have reported this company to the BBB.

I sent out some additional requests for quotes on this part but almost everyone either wanted to come do another $75-95 diagnostic to say the same thing or told me the unit was too old/parts were too difficult to find so I should just replace the whole unit. Bladimir got back to me with zero hassle about just wanting a quote and had the best one out of all the people I spoke with that day, probably 15+ companies. He even had a model-specific rep for my out of date HVAC that had the parts in stock. They were able to come out to replace the compressor early afternoon the next day and were extremely responsive over text. However, when they left there was still no cold air. He came first thing the next morning and was able to diagnose that wires were also touching and causing the system to blow HOT AIR every time the a/c came on, and fixed it immediately! The compressor was still damaged and needed to be replaced, not just the wiring issue and we're not sure why they happened together, but I feel like another company would have charged for more expensive parts or just force a whole system replacement without trying to find this simple fix. He also repaired the thermostat housing which had never attached to the wall properly at no charge. 100/10. I hope I never have a/c issues again but he's the only one I would call and would a billion percent recommend him and his team to anyone needing to get cool again.

He had a little trouble finding my house because I'm hidden in woods so it was closer to 11:45 but still the SAME DAY!!!!!! He checked my unit after asking me a few questions and said it was seriously low on Freon. He advised me that the mini split units start loosing Freon after about 5 years. I told him that this unit was 6 years old. He got up and running without trying to up sale me on unnecessary repairs! He tightened up a couple of things recharged the unit and advised me that I might want to start thinking about replacing the unit with a newer model.
