I've been coming to Rise to Grind for a while now, visiting both the Murrieta and Menifee locations. I've even had the pleasure of meeting the owner! From day one, the staff recommended the white chocolate mocha, and I absolutely fell in love with it. It's literally the ONLY drink I've ordered ever since! Unfortunately, I've recently noticed some new faces at the Menifee location, and the last three times I've visited, my coffee just hasn't tasted the same. It's honestly disappointing because I genuinely go out of my way and make the drive specifically for that coffee! I understand new employees are learning, but consistency is such a big part of what keeps customers coming back. I really love supporting this coffee shop, and I hope they can bring back that same quality and flavor that made me a loyal customer in the first place. I'm not giving up on Rise to Grind, but I definitely miss my usual coffee tasting the way I fell in love with it! read more

I came in with a group and was recommended to come to this place. The owner was very nice. It was early in the morning and I noticed he had a bunch of teas. I'm a tea girlie. So I ordered the chai tea latte and he made it very quickly. The drink was really hot so I set it down while my group and I talked, however one of the persons in my group noticed that there wasn't a teabag in my cup and I'm like yeah you're right. So, I think the drink is made with some kind of premade mix and I would've appreciate it had it been done the traditional way.The drink was too sweet. Located in the Albertsons shopping center this Rise to Grind is easy to access. There's plenty of parking. Limited seating inside but it's cozy. The service is flat, not welcoming. The pastries are basic. I got a chocolate scone and it was strange. I've had better. I got a medium Americano with white chocolate sugar free flavor. The coffee itself was underwhelming. Terrible... absolutely terrible. Bear claws must have been a week old. Soo dry. Scone crumbled... why? Dry. Avocado on a bagel, terrible. The bagel itself was good but the avocado was slight and the overall flavor? Just not good. No ambience is expected when you order food to be delivered, obviously. I saw the sign for this place right off the freeway. It's in a shopping center with plenty of parking. Walking in, I saw a cozy seating area with arm chairs, tables, and coffee roasters. The cafe and a rustic feel to it, with the wood and dim lighting. There is floor to ceiling windows so plenty of natural light. I saw they have coffee, mugs, and other knick knacks for sale. They have a big pastry stand with bagels and other pastries. There were a few people coming in and out. The mugs are $17, which is pretty steep. The menus are hung almost to the ceiling. There is a drinks menu and a food menu. I decided to get a breakfast burrito and an iced cookie butter latte. The barista seemed annoyed and in a bad mood when I asked some questions about the menu. My total came out about $15. My order was for to go and did not take too long. My burrito was wrapped in green tortilla, which I was surprised about. The barista had cut it in half for it to fit on the box. My cookie butter latte was good and tasted exactly like a cookie: sweet. I enjoyed it and the burrito was good. read more

Wow. Just wow! This brunette girl took my order and was SO friendly! I already had high hopes about this place but she just confirmed my prior thoughts. The drink was..... EXCEPTIONAL! She told me she was new, but from the taste of my coffee you could've told me it was made by a blue hair lesbian. The store itself was charming and I could see myself studying in here for hours! I ordered a drink, it was very watered down with no flavor. I was drinking it and dealing with it, but I got to thinking I paid $7 for this drink, and I'm not happy with it. I decided to ask the lady if she could remake it, she glared at me, very nasty. I couldn't believe it. Finally the other lady, I'm assuming the manager on duty said "no you drank more than half" i didnt. It was 2/3rds full. I said "so I'm unhappy with My drink and you're not going to do anything?" Said snarky..."nope, store policy." I've never heard of a customer being unhappy with their purchase, and nothing is done about it. Very messed up customer service. read more

They're on a quiet corner of a strip shopping area, away from the Albertsons and the various fast food drive-thrus in the parking lot. Rise to Grind ended up being a great option for this, with ample comfy seats and an atmosphere that wasn't too quiet or too loud. I'm not big on coffee, I got a tea and it was reasonably priced which I appreciated. It was good, but it wasn't much more than a grocery aisle tea bag in a cup of hot water, haha. While it would've been nicer to get something a bit more special, it was cheap and decent and the employees were fine with everyone in the shop who was grabbing a drink to and hanging around to chat or do some work. I pulled up to the place on Monday 2-3-25 around 7:20 pm and the lights were on and as I was about to get out of the car, they turned their lights off and closed shop. Online hours on google shows they are open until 8:00 pm. Very disappointed that they closed their shop early as I truly wanted to try their coffee for the first time. Incredibly rude customer service. Ordered a caramel late and caramel macchiato, barista called out two caramel lattes. I picked up one of the caramel lattes and waited for the caramel macchiato. The guy who checked me out walked over and said the second caramel latte was mine. I said I ordered a caramel macchiato and he said yeah, same thing and handed it to me. Ordered a latte and it was okay. Also ordered an egg and cheese bagel sandwich. The bagel was so dry and old I could barely swallow it. Asked for a side of cream cheese to help and they wanted to charge me an additional $1.25 (to the $4.25 I already paid for the inedible sandwich). I told the employee the sandwich was dry and inedible and she just said "oh sorry." No offer to fix it, no offer to give me something to help it go down. Won't return. read more
