She's hands-on, extremely knowledgeable (all poses are called out by their Sanskrit names), and you're sure to listen to a killer soundtrack including The Boss! I had the best Savasana in recent memory here: Joanie rubs scented oil on every practioner's temples to encourage full relaxation. We use hand weights , magic ring, ball, roller, chair, no props and do floor exercises for overall body toning and strengthening. She was extremely attentive to offering me alternatives without isolating me. Her class was motivating, inclusive and exactly what I needed. Jil is so smart, kind and in-tune with the needs of her students to make a yoga practice authentic to everyone. Also, I thought it was such a nice touch to enter the room and have yoga props set-up already per every space. This is such a nice touch, especially when you are new and don't know what to take or expect. My only dislike: WHY NORTHFIELD!!! This is so far for me. But I will make the drive back here as I can!
