It really is a total body workout that has small impact on your joints (bad knees? no problem - you can alter your movement so it doesn't agitate that area), and it is open to ALL age levels (seriously, everyone from high school students to snowbirds come to classes). I love how many different ways there are to get involved in it too - from holiday parties to "bring on the men" classes to pure barre bingo. You come for the workout, and you stay for the community. It really is one big family there, and everyone is always celebrating the other's victories (like becoming a part of the 100 Tuck Club, 250 Tuck Club, etc.). And congrats to Tiffany and Meredith for opening the studio 5+ years ago - it isn't easy to run a small business, and they manage it with ease.

Pure Barre is a 55 minute full body workout using isometric exercises to push your muscles to the point of fatigue. This is where the change happens! Everyone was very welcoming at the front desk. I signed a waiver before class and got a pair of grip socks which the studio allowed me to borrow for free (I returned the socks back after class). BARRE CLASS -- The instructor Roni was awesome! She provided great cues/directions for all the different lifts and moves. I loved the addition of small weights, a ball, and a resistance band. I most likely won't be back for a barre class just because this type of workout isn't for me. I prefer high intensity training classes, sprints, and lifting weights.
