Hope Yoga - Friday, 20 October 2023 -- at Hope Yoga in Fairview Park

I attended a yoga class on the Friday morning of my birthday in October 2023. The early morning…read morevinyasa yoga class was a perfect way to loosen my muscles and wake up my body before work. I booked the class the night before at the very last minute. Before walking into the studio, while parking my car, I realized that I accidentally forgot my yoga mat at home. So, as I entered the studio, I was happy when the yoga teacher handed me a yoga mat to borrow after I told her that I forgot mine at home. VINYASA CLASS -- I checked the class schedule and I believe took the "In Studio - All Levels" class. The instructor Mel D. led the class. As a teacher, she used great cues that allowed the students to flow from one yoga pose to the next. This class wasn't difficult for me but even though it appeared to be a beginner level class, I still enjoyed the challenge of holding poses such as downward facing dog. YOGA CLASS DESCRIPTION (In Studio - All Levels Class) -- "Flow classes focus on alignment, breathing, and mindfulness, inviting the body to move with increased awareness and ease. During this class we will incorporate several modifications to accommodate physical limitations or to make poses more challenging." Hope yoga has locations in Westlake and Fairview Park. I attended the Fairview Park location. Thanks to Cycle Fly spin studio for organizing a day for their clients to attend a yoga class. **** - 85/150 total reviews in 2023 - 636 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 1 December 2023

This is not part of a "promotional" review as are many of the others. While I found the class to be…read more"okay", I would never pay those prices when compared to other local studios with very advanced yoga instructors. A drop-in class is $28. That's ridiculous IMO. Also, their memberships are way higher than any other studio. They have fancy lighting and the studio is clean. Also, the yoga teacher I had was a little robotic for my taste.

I had no idea when I blindly signed up so it was a surprise working out in that heavy hot atmosphere. The classes were hard, but made you feel good afterwards. Again, great instructor. I would recommended trying it out if you like variety with your fitness routine. When we did our classes the room was packed so not everyone was able to get the weights they wanted. I would think regular classes would not be as packed, but maybe purchasing more weights would be helpful. I will say the back room with all of the accessories did smell wonderful. Giving a low rating though because I discussed with staff in person how I would take another class if they joined Class Pass, but that I was not interested in a membership as this was not something I wanted to do regularly. However, I have received 6 calls since asking me about getting a membership. This is excessive. If someone wanted to join they would contact you. No need to keep calling. Definitely soured my opinion of this business.

Izzy and Heidi are owners who take the time to greet each and every one of their guests and get to know their members.. classes are diverse with something for everyone. I think I've tried almost all the classes and the instructors are awesome! Aerial flow is new to my practice and it is a beginner class everyone should try. Barre yoga is a great workout! It really gets your lower body in shape fast! My favorite is power flow... I've never done so many chaturangas! personal attention to adjustments and your own needs makes you feel like you are getting the best experience you possibly can. The studio is warm in color tones and ambient lighting. Plenty of space for storing your personal items and plenty of items to borrow or use in your yoga practice, cork and foam blocks, straps, balls, weights, mats, and blankets. Highly recommended getting yourself to this studio before the secret is out!
