I…read morehadn't taken a Reformer Pilates class in a long time so I was excited to try Studio One Pilates. I visited the Bay Village location for the first time towards the end of March 2026. I found out about Studio ONE Pilates from a fellow Yelper, Gillian S. I used a buy one class, get one free deal ($35) which is available for new clients. REFORMER PILATES -- They offer Elite Reformer Pilates classes which is Pilates on the Reformer machine. The class that I took is called "Reformer Pilates -- Total Body Burn" and it was with the lead instructor, Grace. The class was amazing and slightly intense because you lengthen your body while taking, slow and controlled movements. Your arms, legs, and especially CORE is worked throughout the class. The Reformer machine has resistance bands on it which provide for a tougher class because they are similar to using weights. Grace is such a good teacher and I can't wait to take her class again. AMBIANCE -- The studio is simple and clean. The neural colours make the space inviting plus it is nice too. SERVICE -- Friendly customer service. Once you arrive, you will check-in at the front desk. Grace helped me check-in and explained a few things that I needed to know about the reformer machine. PRICING -- (A) Drop-In class (1 class) -- $35 (B) First Time at studio (Buy One and Get One Free) - $35 for 2 classes - FIRST TIMERS only Month to Month Memberships PRICING -- - 4 classes - $99/month - 8 classes - $179/month - 10 classes - $220/month - 15 classes - $239/month - 31 classes (Unlimited) - $269/month TIP 1 -- If you are visiting the studio for the first time, at any of their locations, take advantage of their "buy one, get one free" class offer for new students. TIP 2 -- They sell grip socks if you don't have any. You'll need grip socks to use the Reformer machine. These socks have little spikes behind them that allow you to be stay on the machine and not slip. I brought a flat shoe that is similar to a ballet shoe which worked perfectly on the machine. The aesthetics are stunning--everything is so thoughtfully designed, making it an inviting and motivating place to work out. My favorite instructor is Mackenzie Burdick--she's incredible! Her classes are a perfect mix of fun and challenging. She's funny, energetic, and super nice, and I always leave feeling like I got a killer workout. That being said, you can't go wrong with any of the teachers here. They all bring their A-game and consistently deliver amazing workouts. Everything about Vital Pilates is extremely well-curated, from the equipment to the class structure. It's truly worth investing in a membership. I have been dying to try reformer Pilates and this class made me wish I had started sooner! This studio is so new, very clean, and just very pretty!! Before we started the instructor did a little crash course on what the reformer was and parts we'll be using and needed to know! I took a classic Pilates class (again because it was my first time) - perfect for a beginner, I could follow and understand what was happening and what to do, yet it was still challenging enough to where I felt a pretty good workout!! (Don't forget your grippy socks!!! If you do though, they sell some in store!!) They do have their prices posted on their app, but here are a few: - First timer $35 for 2 classes - Drop in class $35 Monthly Memberships: - $115 for 4 classes - $164 for 6 classes - $215 for 8 classes - $255 for 10 classes - $355 for 31classes (Basically the more you buy the cheaper the classes are!!) I moved to Austin, TX in December and called to cancel my membership, after attempting to cancel online and being unable to find that option. It went to voicemail and I left a message. I never heard back from them, and ended up getting charged again in January. I called again and emailed requesting the charge be removed. Again, no response. I got charged AGAIN in February. I emailed again providing the past details and requesting the January and February charges be removed. Still no response when low and behold, I WAS CHARGED IN MARCH. Once in January is one thing. I get it, your busy, it happens in February, that stinks and a I'm a little put out. But there is no excuse now. I have been charged over and over, all the while attempting to follow up directly with the business. I attempted to be proactive and cancel prior to being charged at all to avoid this whole mess, to no avail. Now I am stuck with all the work of disputing these charges with my bank.

I've been going to Green Tara for over a year and while all the teachers at the studio are very…read moregood, Karen is by far the best. She is an excellent instructor who is disciplined and emphasizes form, teaching you to be thoughtful and aware of your body. What really sets her apart is that she is both yoga teacher and life coach in one, without being too self-help or corny or inaccessible. I'm not at all new-age-y, but her classes really transcend your traditional pose/ stretch/downward-facing dog, and leave you with both a refreshed mind and body. The studio is small but cozy, and you get a feel for a sense of community as the classes are a good mix of long-time veterans and first-time drop-ins. I've also taken some classes at the Yoga Room which is an amazing facility in one of the converted Little Italy school-houses, but the quality and the level of detail of teaching at Green Tara in one of Karen's classes is unmatched. I've only ever done Iyengar yoga (minus the yoga class I went to at a 24hr Fitness once, which was so UNNATURAL and weird), so I can't compare it to any of the other yogas, but the perfectionist in me loves the slower pace and an almost cerebral emphasis on form. I have been to other yoga places, most recently the place on W. 25th St. in Ohio City. Green Tara Yoga is the best experience I have had by far. If you are a teenager or a cheerleader, or want to listen to calming nature sounds and smell incense, you should not come here. But if you honestly want and need to feel better--if you have body aches and want a place that takes these issues seriously, Green Tara is your place. Karen took me and my issues seriously and she knew what she was doing. This woman is an expert. I thought I'd try it for one night, and ended up signing up for eight classes this evening. I am pleased.

There's a great variety of equipment--multiple machines for every muscle group, tons of cable stations, and a full range of dumbbells with plenty of space to use them. Cardio machines are always available, so I never have to wait. For the past six months, I've been working Chuck for personal training, and the experience has been excellent. He's supportive, answers all my questions, tracks my progress, and adjusts my nutrition goals as my body changes. The gym has a solid community--friendly members but also a focused, no-nonsense vibe. Highly recommend if you're serious about your fitness.
