The aesthetics are stunning--everything is so thoughtfully designed, making it an inviting and motivating place to work out. My favorite instructor is Mackenzie Burdick--she's incredible! Her classes are a perfect mix of fun and challenging. She's funny, energetic, and super nice, and I always leave feeling like I got a killer workout. That being said, you can't go wrong with any of the teachers here. They all bring their A-game and consistently deliver amazing workouts. Everything about Vital Pilates is extremely well-curated, from the equipment to the class structure. It's truly worth investing in a membership. Thank God I found Western Reserve Pilates Studio! It's a beautiful space, very clean and well kept- calm and hip looking. I called and left a message inquiring as to how to get started as a new pupil and they got back to me within 30 minutes! The staff was very responsive and I set out to my first class with high hopes. The atmosphere was great. Whenever you try something alone for the first time, it's always an anxious experience- except for your first class here! I was welcomed by the instructor and the fellow students alike. I can't wait to go back and try one of the equipment classes! Both novices and experienced practioners should try this studio. The instructor was very friendly and walked me through the machine for my first time. She instructed me during the class to have proper form and safe movements. I really appreciated her knowledge and kindness during my first class bc I had to takes breaks on some of the movements that really kicked my butt haha. Today was a full body day and it definitely worked every part of my body. Slow and controlled with intermittent bursts of quicker movements to really work those muscles. Pilates is just so different from any other type of workout and if that is what you are looking for than this is for you. I would love to get a membership or class pack but the cost is so expensive. I also had to pay $15 for a pair of grip socks, which were super cute so I wasn't mad about it. I no longer pay for the Class Pass app because I joined my local YMCA but I highly recommend Free Hearts studio. CLASSES -- They offer mat pilates, barre, yoga, yoga sculpt, weights classes, and a bit more. Most classes are filled with women and only once did I see a man in a class. The instructors are also all women which I have no problem with. My first class was an awesome Pilates strength class lead by the owner, Caitlin. We used mini weights plus other props during class. The class is called "Peace and Pilates" and I took it in May, September, and November 2025. PRICING -- A drop in class is $25 which is cheaper than most pilates studios. If you are new to the studio (your first time) then a drop-in class is $15. A 2-weeks unlimited package is $40 which is a deal that I may pay for soon because one class will be less than $3 a class. It's an awesome deal that new members or first time clients can use. If you've never bought a class package with them before then you are considered a new client. If you've been to the studio before through Class Pass then you can still buy their "new client" or "first time" class pricing deal. SERVICE -- Anytime that I've visited, service has always been welcoming. Also, their memberships are way higher than any other studio. They have fancy lighting and the studio is clean. Also, the yoga teacher I had was a little robotic for my taste.

I would think regular classes would not be as packed, but maybe purchasing more weights would be helpful. I will say the back room with all of the accessories did smell wonderful. Giving a low rating though because I discussed with staff in person how I would take another class if they joined Class Pass, but that I was not interested in a membership as this was not something I wanted to do regularly. I am here for their student guest weeks, and I have taken their cycling and yoga classes before. Having a location on the northside of campus does work well with accessibility, and I like that they are having this studio have more variety as well, including hot yoga, yoga, barre, boxing, and cycling classes. The structure is not too different from 121, and their amenities are nice for taking a shower before heading to work or class with complimentary towelettes and free towels/shampoo/lotion to use.

I've long been interested in trying out a yoga class and the beginner's workshop was the perfect way to start out. Most times I was too afraid to book a class elsewhere because all the hardcore yogis would be flowing through moves and I'd be huffing and puffing on my mat unable to figure out what was going on. That was so not the case here. Our yoga instructor, Erica (and owner of the biz), was friendly, welcoming, and helpful the entire class. We were led through a series of moves all leading up to being able to put together a sun salutation A. With Vinyasa each move "flows" through to the next and builds off of some basic poses. Per the YogaFlow website, Vinyasa yoga is a strong, athletic style of yoga that links movement to your breath. The focus on breathing was more relaxing than I had anticipated. I left class feeling both energized and calm. It was wonderful. The beginner's workshop lasted the full two hours but it felt like no time at all. Very much looking forward to my next class. Some notes: -Bring your own mat, water, and a towel. -They provide yoga props (blankets, blocks). -To get to the studio enter the building at 5320 Hoag Drive (park behind the building), enter Dr. Michael Seng's office and turn right, then head up the stairs to the loft. -Try not to eat before class (you probably wouldn't feel so great if you do). -Don't wear super loose baggy clothes, they will get in the way. -Various level classes are available throughout the week, check the website for details.
