Right next door is a firehouse! When the alarm goes off you could hear it!

The water was pretty cool but for the first time I really would have liked the water a little bit warmer. This was a great experience where you can have soothing ambient music playing under the water. I had to get used to the lights being out but you can have the chance to turn them off or on. When time is up the hostess is able to turn the lights on for you to wake up or turn the music on if you originally had it off. The shower is available as well as shampoo conditioner and body wash. At the end of the day, this experience is really blissful and very much needed for the high pace and stressful place that we live in.

I just did my very 1st session of Flotation Therapy. I is the most serene experience ever! Floating weightless in the pod until I drifted off into a deep sleep. I woke as the pod opened an hour later amazed. Better than a message but will get one next time I go. I can't imagine feeling better than I do now but the two combined could put it over the top! Rise Above is beautifully decorated. The entire place is kept immaculate and products are higher end. Rich made me feel so at ease & explained everything so well that I wasn't nervous at all. I like the policy of showering before. Just another way I knew cleanliness is so important to them. $85 for 60 minutes of peace and tranquility the way the world is right now is a small price to pay. I highly recommend @RiseAboveFlotation to just float the world & worries away. It works :)

I heard of the "pay whatever you want" flotation promotion from a friend and I decided to try Rise above flotation out. Boy, am I glad I did. Upon arrival I already felt relaxed because of the dim lighting. I was so ready for my session. The room had an extra large tub for Closter phobic people with an in shower (love that tiny detail). All of the necessities needed were supplied ie: soap, contact solution, contact case, shampoo, towels, ear plugs. Management definitely knows what they are doing and how to cater to their customers. The owner was excellent. He took time to explain how everything works since this was my first flotation experience. The room and entrance were very clean and very cozy and inviting. Overall 5 stars because my experience was literally out of this world. It was so amazing. I can't wait to go back.

They have a decent selection of music and lighting to choose from for your float experience. They supply ear plugs, both the wax ones and the ones that go in your ear. They also supply body wash, shampoo & conditioner. After your float they have a room with hairdryers and other items you may need to get ready. The Float itself was so relaxing. They said it takes about 45 minutes for you to really relax and that is spot on. The total experience is 1 1/2 hours and such a great experience. To be able to just unplug and relax weightless in the warm epsom salt water is incredible. After the Float staff checks in on how your time was and offers you tea or water and a space to continue to relax. Loved it there, love the experience & I look forward to going back! My mother and I went there during the weekend of my sister's graduation from Yale's School of Management(Go Bulldogs!). We booked while we were in Philly for our layover and had trouble scheduling online so we called the office. Olivia immediately scheduled us for a full spa day on Sunday and then we decided to do a separate float on Friday before dinner. Olivia was so kind and happy to help us. When we arrived on Friday we were greeted by Jade to prepare for our float session to sign our waivers. We were taken to a beautiful room with cozy blankets, salt lamps and calming lighting to begin our journey. After watching the informational video for our float session, Jade walked us back to the our separate rooms. The space was so clean and welcoming. We each had our own individuals rooms with a shower, float bath, robe, slippers and toiletries. It was an expectational experience. When we came back on Sunday for our full spa day which included a 3 min cryotherapy session, 1 hour float, 1 hour massage with Jalisa and Stephen followed by an hour sauna session. The deep tissue massages by Stephen and Jalisa were otherworldly. I usually ask for a deep tissue massage but never felt that folks were able to get deep enough, this was not the case. Both my mother and myself felt that every knot we had in our bodies was released and cared for during our session. There were multiple times I felt that multiple hands were on me though it was Stephen and my mom felt the same way with Jalisa. All staff at Ripple Float ensured we were comfortable, hydrated with their many free selections of tea, water and kombucha (available for purchase). We are both looking forward to returning for another full spa day when we are back in the city.

The guy at the front desk was very welcoming, he greeted us as soon as we walked in. He told us it would just be a few minutes while he got the rooms ready for us. He was very thorough in explaining the process and offered us waters and showed us where we could get some should we need more during our time there. The place was also very clean. They provide robes, towels, slippers, pretty much everything you need. I did the two part experience, starting with the sauna and finishing with the float. I started with the sauna where which was 45 mins then moved to the float which was 1 hour. The only issue I had here was that the sauna room was too small. I was unable to fully lay/stretch out on the bench, which would've made for a much more relaxing experience. Instead, I had to sit the 45 mins with my knee bent and the bench was hard on my butt despite them having a towel down. The float was by far my favorite part of the experience. It's right across from the sauna room. The guy again comes to take you there and explain the process in detail. There's a shower for you to use before you get in the float and to get your body ready and acclimated to the temperature in the float. There's float has light and relaxing music, both of which you have control of if you want it or not. I turned the light off initially but it was way too dark for me lol I felt trapped so I opted for lights on. The process was so very relaxing that I even fell asleep for a while. I was woken up by the audio telling me the float has ended and thanks for floating. It also tells you that it will begin the cleansing process soon so you should exit the float. As I was showering and getting ready to leave, I saw it going through the cleansing process which was good to see. Definitely recommend this float if you are stressed or just need a mental break. It was good to just be in there with you and your thoughts to reflect and detach and then eventually, truly relax!

I was initially worried because of a past claustrophobia event during an MRI (I'm not usually claustrophobic but I freaked out during my scan and had to be calmed down). Hubby and I had time off together and decided to take the trip to LI for my session. He booked one for himself as well. When we arrived, Raymond checked us in. He explained what we should do in preparation for the session and provided us wutg wax ear plugs. Each room is single occupancy with its own shower (with soap and shampoo), towels, slippers, and bacitracin (if you have any scratches on your skin). It would be best to not book right after shaving or if you gave open wounds, because you'll be floating in a high concentration of Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate), which could be irritating to cuts and abrasions. They provide the bacitracin for you to put onto any scrape you may have, which alleviates the sting. Once in the room, you disrobe and shower. You must be clean before entering the tank. The tank is like a clam shell, you climb in and use the "pillow" under your head to keep your head afloat. You're completely naked in the tank and you just float. Napping has exponential benefits while in the tank. Once you set your session, the tank does all the work. You can listen to music, adjust the sound, or just stay in the quiet room. I fell asleep a few times. Because of the high concentration of MgSO4, you're floating and have pretty decent buoyancy. I have locs, so I brought my own swim cap - I would suggest bringing one of you don't want the liquid saturating your hair. Raymond examined how to put on the cap, with the hair on the very top of your head, and the side of the cap covering your ears. I would say, however, not to cover your ears because it creates a spacc for the liquid to seep into and for that reason, I was a bit unhappy with what happened after my session. Once the float is done, the tank let's you know. You exit the tank, hop in the shower, and clean yourself. Once you leave the tank, it begins it's self-cleaning process. The water is swirling around and around and I'm guessing they use UV to help clean it. I did not realize that there was soooo much salt in the tank. I thought I did a good job cleaning myself off in the shower, but because the water got into my swim cap some, once it dried, everything that still had remnants of the water, dried white. Once we headed out, Raymond had water waiting for us. That was refreshing. You should not have a heavy meal or drink a lot of fluids ahead of your visit. I was wearing a black dress and the drips from my hair would dry on my dress and then turn white. You really have to rinse yiursf off very well. It would be best to schedule this kind of experience on a day when you have nothing else to do. I will say that for the actual experience, it was very relaxing and felt amazing but the aftercare was a lot, especially with the salt drying. I would do this again, but definitely will not be going anywhere else afterwards.

When I arrived, the person at the front desk (who appeared to be the owner) was rude and told me to stop explaining myself, even though I had offered to shorten my service. The treatment ended up being a brief 30-minute arm and hand massage, and the warm neck wrap smelled sour. The space itself felt run-down and uninviting. Overall, the lack of customer service and poor atmosphere make this a place I would not recommend. This is my updated response to the owner: As I mentioned in my review, I called ahead twice and was told it was fine to arrive as soon as possible. When I arrived, I was the one who suggested modifying or changing my service so as not to inconvenience other customers. Regarding the neck pillow you described as "herbal," it did not have a pleasant or herbal scent like Zheng Gu Shui or Ling Nam. It smelled damp, as if it had been left in the washing machine without being properly dried. I understand that Valentine's Day is a busy time. However, professionalism and courteous communication are especially important during peak times. If you hope to retain current and future customers, I believe improving in these areas would make a meaningful difference.
