Brenneman Restoration was brought in to do specialized hardware and door mounting for a Chestnut…read moreHill Museum. As a facilities manager, I thought the work was sub-par. As a carpenter (30 years), I found the work atrocious. Billed as time and materials, the first task was to mount new hardware and the original door with new threshold, sweep, hinges, etc. The second task was to restore 3 sets of French Doors each with restored hardware and new thresholds. After we saw the work on the first task, we asked that it be redone because the hinges work themselves loose and were not in alignment, the door was out of alignment, Wood patching was done to the jamb without following up with paint, the hinges were sloppily mortised with differing steel and brass hardware, and the threshold was mounted without notching around the jamb. Pete was given the better part of 3 weeks to rectify the situation and refused to respond to phone calls and emails. I know what real talent is in this field and this is not it. Pictures are posted.
