An amazing place for any outdoor or home needs! We stopped here cause we were shopping for some gardening stuff and it was by far one of the best experiences ever shopping for these things! I believe the store managers name is Jim and he was incredibly helpful! He gave us great insights into soil options as well as soil fertilizer now. Additionally we were looking for orchid bark which they didn't have but he mentioned at least twice that if we'd be able to pick it up the following week he could place an order for it! I also go to speak with Gina who had some great insights on how to best mix the soil and get my seedlings going! We splurged on the FoxFarm Ocean soil they suggested and it brought some soil that wasn't doing to great back to life I was able to still use it and mix it in with the foxfarm and it's been doing great. Overall one of the best experiences at a general store we've had! read more

When you cannot find what you need at the big box hardware stores, try the little guys like True Value. They have a huge selection in a fairly compact space. They have a friendly, useful staff, who go out of the way to help each customer. Sometimes it is better to start here, because they more likely have what you need. read more

I give this store no stars this place is rude and ignored me the two times I went in I asked 3 people and they all just walked away from me, and they always have little kids running around that should not happen at a place like this they can get hurt . I also heard one of the employees call one lady a bitch there not professional at all I wouldn't take my business here AGAIN! I wouldn't recommend this place at all !! read more

I've gone in here quite a few times over the years, but after the last time, I decided I won't go back. I don't recall what I was looking for, but as I went to the back, there was a guy in need of a shave, sitting at a kiosk, who tried to engage me in conversation about my roof. I didn't want to be rude, but he wouldn't take the hints I was giving him that I wasn't interested. I finally just walked away and let him talk to himself. When I got to the counter up front, I remembered a small pocket size screwdriver I bought there once that had a reversible shaft with phillips on one end and flat on the other. I asked the clerk if they still had them, showing the size with my thumb and forefinger on one hand and he directed me to an aisle. I looked up and down the aisle, but the only thing close was a large screwdriver with 4 different tips. The clerk came over and with a touch of annoyance, pointed and said, "They're right there." With my own touch of annoyance, I replied, "I said small (showing the size with thumb and forefinger), is that small?" He grunted something about that was what they had and walked away. I paid for my purchase and left. read more

Excellent store. Fantastic staff that is the most helpful, knowledgeable and supportive of any I have ever been to in decades. Good selection, plenty of everything I need, plenty of space to park out front, very convenient location right on Southern so it's very easy to shop here. This Ace hardware store has what I need but they are not the customer service oriented store that I enjoyed in NV. The Pioneer store on Sabana Grande is much better. Pleasant service. read more

Love this hardware store, it has that cozy, small hometown shop feel to it. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful. I stopped in today for a O-ring and within a few seconds someone asked if I needed help, I showed them my broken part and they took me directly to the new ones. When I arrived on 7/11/20 I asked several people for help, the employees at the desk (maybe owners children?) disregarded me as a customer. I walked through the store looking for another employee and walked up to who appeared to be the owner/manager - she was talking to another employee & I waited for them to finish their conversation. She looked at me & I said I had a question, she ignored my request for help and carried on her conversation with the employee. I left the store & went to Lowe's. Absolutely the best! They have everything at reasonable prices, but more importantly, they can tell you how to use it to fix, modify, or improve whatever you're working on. The big box stores aren't even in the same hemisphere when it comes to actual customer service. For all things hardware, if you're anywhere near their location, don't waste your time going anywhere else. read more

Best hardware store in Rio Rancho! The staff is ALWAYS friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. They always have what I need and can tell me which item is best and how to install it. Someone is always available to offer advice and help you find what you're looking for. You may pay 5 cents less at Wal-Mart, but good luck finding someone to help you or even know what they're doing. Please avoid the box stores and support this local gem. Awesome! read more

Horrible customer service.Was there 15 minutes and could not get any help from anyone. One of the employees was talking to another about how many houses he's lived in here in Rio Rancho and two other employees were helping another customer. When i asked one of them for help he said he would be with me in a bit. He never came back. It was when i started to leave when they finely asked if i need help. I can understand if they were busy , but they were not. This is not the first time this has to me in this store. I like giving my business to these mom and pop stores instead of the big box stores. Had to go to Walmart to get what i needed . Will never go back . read more

Service, service, service! Everyone at this store is friendly, helpful, and extremely knowledgable. As well as plumbing supplies and nuts & bolts, they have every kind of obscure specialty hardware you could want; stove knobs, license plate screws, mirror hangers, rubber stoppers, springs, grommets...It's so much fun to poke around! Plus they have a nice selection of household products: pressure cooker parts, metal polishes, and all those older brands of cleaning products that are hard to find nowadays. You can park at the door, and there's always someone to greet you and take you right to the item you need. Go there; you will love this store! read more
