    Corned Beef Eggs Benny
    Ric F.

Great breakfast place with good homemade food - there looked like so many good options but my wife and I chose the corned beef Benedict and the breakfast quesadilla, both were great - I would of liked a little more yoke out of my eggs but other than that the corned beef was very tender and just fell apart.

Home town cafe feel, ordered the chef special and it was amazing, will definitely come back to this place and I will recommend it to my friends.

We are often stumped on where to go for breakfast. This a place that is great for families, kids or hungry tourists. They have selections for the pancake eater or the health nut. If you are lucky enough to get a seat with a view the vista is so relaxing. They also offer tables outside but it was raining when got there. We ordered pancakes and eggs rancheros, brewed iced tea and coffee. Nice experience. Nice staff.

It may be headlined as a Mexican restaurant, but we didn't order anything Mexican for our full, very reasonably priced breakfast. We arrived 8:30 AM and we're the first customers there, but by 9:00 AM it was half full - most people sat inside, but I'm glad we didn't (see photos below). Food was great and setting was beautiful.

I was told that this was a spot to get smoothies and juices in the Berkshires. Boy, was that ill advised. I got the Amazing Greens (mango for banana with protein). I was concerned when my bill was $14.50 for one smoothie given that it should have been under $10 with the changes. The woman behind the counter said that's how much it costs. It was then that I suggested a price update on the menu board because it's misleading. Then she noticed her error, had a hard time correcting it and needed assistance. The difference was finally refunded 15 minutes later. She went on to make my smoothie, and proceeded to place a banana in the blender. "Remember, I asked for mango instead of banana," I said. She was peeved, forgot the protein and handed me the chewiest smoothie I have ever attempted to consume. I would think that a restaurant with smoothies as permanent part of their menu would have a commercial blender. That was not the case here. The kale was not well blended and their were even chunks of unblended pineapple. All in all, this was a disappointing experience.

Couldn't have been happier. Friendly, prompt service, and WOW the food. Go for the Chef's Choice (eggs benedict with avocado, bacon, and brie). Not on the menu, but can be ordered, is a cream cheese bagel with smoked salmon. And my husband loved his 'energy bowl' (cottage cheese, granola, and fresh fruits). They have indoor dining, and also outdoor seating in their grassy pretty backyard!

Corned beef hash and eggs with hollandaise, rye toast, and home fries. Stack of awesome blueberry pancakes!

My wife and I stopped in here for breakfast. I ordered the corned beef hash and eggs and a stack of blueberry pancakes. I didn't care for the hollandaise sauce on the eggs. Also, the corn beef hash was homemade....but I really love canned Hormel cornbeef hash, so I just have to say that the hash was ok. I did love the blueberry pancakes though....slathered with butter and maple syrup (I hope it was maple syrup). Soooo good! Our waitress was nice. We didn't have to wait long. I must admit, the wooden bench seats were very uncomfortable. But all in all, I had an enjoyable breakfast! 5 stars!!

Top pic huevos rancheros. Bottom, corned beef n hash.

At first I thought it was just our table because the local friends who brought us here have been before but she was chatting at every table. The food is superb. Maybe I'm a little biased, I'm a huge fan of Middle Eastern food, but I've had this cuisine in NYC and in other places. One of our friends ordered shakshuka, tried and true. I went in with the same intention but then I saw the Báladi breakfast. OMG, a lot of very very good food! My husband and our other friend also had the Báladi breakfast. It's a bit customizable in that you choose what kind of eggs you prefer. I chose the green omelet which is loaded with fresh dill. Hubs had scrambled with mushrooms, friend had omelet with onions. Everyone was more than pleased. For the table (hungry table, lol) we ordered the cheese boureka complet. Each entrée, shakshuka and Báladi breakfast and boureka, comes with a board filled with what I'd call salatim - mini-dishes with assorted items. There was Israeli chopped salad, green tahini, carrot salad (w cranberries instead of raisins), eggplant salad, frena (warm excellent mini-loaf of bread), and more. SO much food to appreciate and all made in-house, fresh and delicious. We're looking forward to visiting these friends again next summer and eating at Baladi again! Too bad we don't live nearby! The coffee is full-bodied, strong but not bitter, served in a large mug.

Listen, 5 stars for this trip is going to sound so bad, but just wait... Ill get there…read more I find this place on Yelp, Hubby and I were in town on vacation for a weekend to get away before I was to have a pretty big operation - so we just upped & ran away one weekend. It coincidentally happened to be prime leaf peeping weekend (which isnt why we went away) but it was Sunday am, we wanted to eat somewhere that wasnt Dunks, so I found this place on Yelp and it looked super cute, so we drove 30*ish minutes to get here. We arrive & Im thinking Oh No, this isnt going to be great, we get in line and are 3rd in line. Well 15 mins has passed and no one has even acknowledged the people in front of us or anyone... Now to set the scene for anyone who hasnt been here, its like walking into a time warp home. Its not like a restaurant, this is literally a home. There is stuff EVERYWHERE, its like a yard sale, dust, books, no 2 tables, place settings, mugs, plates or anything is the same on all the tables, and the woman who was working god bless her had to be easily 75... She was running the food, cleaning & clearing the tables and this place was packed. We ended up talking to the family in front of us in line (who were regulars and in their 90s) and they said they come every weekend, so the woman who works there pulls them out of line and seats them ahead of the people in front of them (they were ok with that) but they had told us how you can buy anything in the place, if you liked your table setting you can buy it. There was so much old rustic decor, the place is friggin adorable, but you can buy it all! I just continued to walk around the place & just investigate all the things. Well 45 mins later we were finally seated and magically a few more staff people arrived to help her out, the whole experience from waiting to be seated, to ordering to actually getting the food and check was easily 2+ hours. The food I expected to then be just meh, but it wasnt IT WAS GOOD, Craig the owner chef was literally in the kitchen ALONE... and lives up stairs too, but you could see him hustling around and just handling all of it. Salad at breakfast at first to me seemed so off, but OMG was it good. All the food was just fresh and really good! This was one of those super memorable experiences, the hubby wouldnt let me buy anything and that was ok, but if we are ever back in the area we are definitely stopping in again! Dont mind the wait (which Im told isnt normally that long - I think it was all the leaf peeping tourists)

I tried the tomato & mozzarella one and literally haven't tried anything else on their lunch or dinner menu because it is the perfect sandwich. Their focaccia? As bread? Yes. I have also been blessed enough to have their breakfast sandwich and honestly words cannot even capture that experience so just order one yourself. The bevs? I am a beverage lover and have been severely disappointed and let down by neighboring local establishments when it comes to their matcha and iced coffee selection. But Robbie's? They've done it. An incredible matcha. A spicy iced chai. Incredible iced coffees. You couldn't ask for more. The service is also absolutely amazing. I came for breakfast right at 9AM on the first day they had earlier opening and it took them fifteen minutes to make my breakfast sandwich -- which isn't even a long wait when compared to other GB sandwich shops *cough cough Rubi's*. And they're were so kind and appreciative that I waited they gave me a little breakfast oat bar on the house (which was also incredible and warm and tasted like the concept of breakfast, if that makes sense). Also -- they serve Pastries by Hanna AKA the greatest donuts known to man. Like maybe go just for those on the weekends. Overall, they're amazing and will grow tired of seeing me.

We ordered at the front counter, grabbed a table in the modestly sized dining room and our two sandwiched came out very fast. My wife ordered a Prosciutto Baguette with arugula, red pepper tapenade, and Buffalo Mozzarella with an aged balsamic dressing for $16. I ordered a Pita Sadwich with White Bean Hummus, Beets, Olives, Pickled Onions, and Arugula for $12. Both sandwiches were served with a small salad of local greens. I loved my sandwich. The pillowy softness of the pita, the smooth velvety texture of the hummus, the sweetness of the beets, and the saltiness of the olives all combined for one fantastic sandwich. Portion size was generous, and since we knew we'd be stopping down the street for ice cream, we each took home half of our lunch. Pricing was reasonable at just around $30 after tax and before tip. What else is on the menu besides Bagels?…read more I saw a lot of Jewish neighborhood items like bialys, smoked salmon, egg creams. whitefish salad, baked salmon salad, corned beef, matzoh ball soup, pastrami, chopped chicken liver, rugelach, and brisket among the seemingly hundreds of other choices. Simply put, Great Barrington Bagel is one fantastic place of fantastic choices. Let's start with their bagels, I mean after all, that's the namesake of the place. They make them the traditional NYC way - boiled and then baked in a 500-degree oven for a dense crust and chewy interior. How many kinds of bagels do they make? How about 21, plus spinoff types like bialys and flagels (flat crusty bagels). Oh, and do you want cream cheese on top of that particular bagel you had to agonizingly choose among? Well, be prepared for another tough choice, because GBBC has 17 flavors of cream cheeses. I ordered a cup of Chicken Noodle Soup with Matzoh Ball ($4.75) and a BLT on a jalapeno bagel ($8.50). Their indoor tables are still not available, but there were maybe six big picnic tables with benches outside. Everything was occupied when we walked outside with our food, including one table where an unsmiling matronly type nursing a cup of Dunkin Donuts informed us in no uncertain terms that she was holding that table for her friends' arrival, and she'd rather not share her precious table with us. Anyway, we eventually found a table and enjoyed our lunch. My soup was great! Lots of big carrot chunks, delicious tender chicken chunks, and a very good matzoh ball, served with bagel chips. The BLT had quite a bit of perfectly cooked Hickory Smoked Bacon. I had my Jalapeno bagel toasted. It was served with a sour pickle spear and was a real good combination of tastes and textures. My only quibble was the Jalapeno Bagel itself, it just wasn't very "jalapeno-y" to me. But that was just a teeny tiny blip on the day's radar. Well, that and the guardian of the bench, who was still sitting there by herself as we cleaned up our trash and left. As I was leaving, I looked her in the eyes and said, "Hope you enjoy your lunch". Sensing none of my sarcasm, she smiled and said thanks.
