Throughout the bidding process he was thorough, efficient and communicative. Those themes continued during the work itself -- in which Ashton kept us informed about the status of the work, the steps he was taking, what was coming next and how it all fit into the general scope of the job. We finished the job on time and in budget and with no surprises. Ashton even came by after the job to check out something unrelated to his workmanship, and offered to help fix what ended up being a non issue. I would definitely recommend Ashton and Little Bear Construction for epoxy floors and for any other future potential general contracting / building projects. Also worth noting -- Ashton is a local South Hills resident and good human.

Unprofessional. Unresponsive. Irresponsible. Rude. Unneighborly…read more Waking up to their crew yelling in our residential neighborhood before 7 am, working start time, for months is the least of my worries. Being sworn at by their staff is not neighborly. They seen to forget that the street does not belong to them. What's truly frustrating, and why I would never suggest the company- they do not use working phone numbers for their permits that they file with the city. So getting ahold of someone when there's a real issue is impossible. For example, their construction crew is causing a very serious and dangerous issue with the buses scheduled to pick up preschoolers each school day in the morning. They are blocking the road with cranes and equipment in the middle of the bus stops. This causes an unsafe situation. It has also caused children on the street to miss school. Since where their bus stops is being used as a construction area. But since the company does not post any working numbers for permit or the public then there no way to discuss with the owner or manager how unsafe they are being when blocking the street with equipment in the am. And since those on the site are no receptive to discussions with neighbors about problems- problems continue to mount. I like being told to go "fuck myself" and that I'm fat whenever I ask the crew when the will be moving their equipment out of the middle of the road as they block our entries streets access, but especially my front door. This builder runs a real classy crew. I can't wait until they're done building near us. It's horrific and it makes me resent our new neighbors who haven't even moved it but bought with them.

We never had a problem until now. We used Mike for our siding in 2003 and he had done home repairs over the years. He did an estimate for a roof, we accepted, gave him a downpayment and did not hear any update for two months. When I called and asked for some urgency, he sent a crew to deliver materials. They said they would start working in the rain. I told them I felt uncomfortable with that and without any discussion they left and cancelled the contract that I had waited for months to be completed. I am blown away. I couldn't get in touch with anyone. When I finally reached Mike, he decided it was easier to refund my money than deal with an unhappy customer. Imagine. Now I am a very unhappy former customer. I hope I find someone more professional to do my home repairs.

We talked to various roofing companies but didn't want a quick fix that would change the look of the house to be more modern. Luckily a friend recommended the Healey company. From the first meeting, we knew our house would be in good hands, with restoration to make it look the same way it did when it was first built. As with many home projects, once the work began, it became clear that we had bigger problems than we first realized. Not only was the soffit in rough shape, but the box gutters needed to be rebuilt. The Healey company took care of working with a roofer to line the new gutters they built with copper. They were always communicative about what was happening and why, respectful as they used our basement bathroom and utility sink, and they cleaned up after their work all around our house. It was a pleasure interacting with the various team members. I would not hesitate to hire them again for any project or to recommend them to anyone. Their work was exceptional.

Well the crew from LVL has had our house for two and a half months - it was a transformation from the basement to the roof. It is beautiful. The attention to detail, the quality of the work- it is unbeatable. They put in a new French drain system and properly sealed the entire basement, creating additional living space for our teen girls. They replaced all the uneven floors and made the entire home not only much more functional- but breathtakingly gorgeous. The problem is then the left the house unfinished, never completing it. Six months later- their electrical work caused a house fire. Repeated attempts to rectify the issues failed until the owner of LaVillaLux just stopped talking to us altogether. Not the best way to do business. Really sad at the outcome.
