Customer service is trash. I simply called in because my 82 old mother experienced fraud with her credit card and I wanted to add her service to my account. We were unable to access her email and I wanted to just add her as a shared user to my account. This went on for one full hour. I wanted to give them extra money and wound up canceling my account in the end. No one tried to help. No one offered a resolution. No one apologized. it's getting ridiculous at this point I feel like I'm being harassed to upgrade to the AI when all I have is a simple video doorbell and I have zero interest. First it was a so-called free trial that I never . Plus I had to opt out of for AI functionality set it out as an opt out not an opt in. Ring's customer service needs to repect their customers time and not take 2, 3 or 4 hours to try and resolve an issue with their doorbell camera and still fail to fix problem. I called Ring for months to fix the problem and was told my ring camera was broken and I needed to buy a new one. I reluctantly bought a new camera, only to find out my old doorbell camera was not broken. I let someone try it out at their home and it worked perfectly fine. Ring was founded in 2013 and was called Doorbot. Amazon purchased the company in 2018. They offer smart home devices and home security; those are alarm systems, smart doorbells, and security cameras. I remember watching them on a show called Shark Tank. Growing up, we've never had such a thing and home security was not affordable for us. Fast forward to now, everyone has Ring or something similar. They even made it affordable for the general public. How did we live without it for so long? I love the security and seeing who is at my door without even opening it. It's not perfect but it does get the job done. Side note: I love crime shows so my paranoia is high. Think Night Stalker for instance..... If they had Ring, events could've been different. In my opinion, I think everyone should have Ring or something like it. After six months RING is a solution in search of a problem surveiling visiting relatives and the odd package delivery. Five Stars for: Customer Service Product Quality Packaging Product Support Warrenty Options My experience with Ring may be the exception but I don't think so, I found these products are a great value and they met all my expectations. I agree there are limitations how couldn't there be for the price, I see some of the disappointing reviews referenced - no zoom, no auto panning, no high-definition, no surveillance, password character restrictions, WiFi range restrictions, monitoring subscriptions, etc. duh of course. Before you buy you should know the limitations and what you have in place to operate the system just as you would for any application. As for me I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, so I'll continue ordering more of the Ring products... read more

What followed was a long and exhausting cycle of phone calls, transfers, broken promises, and dead ends. I spoke with representative after representative--each one offering a new explanation, a new excuse, or a new assurance that "everything is complete." It wasn't. The system could not be installed, powered, or used. A security system that cannot function offers no protection--only false reassurance. Over several months, I was promised expedited shipments, free replacement equipment, and supervisor follow-ups. None materialized. At one point, I was told the order had been "lost in the system" due to a website outage. Lost orders, lost records, lost accountability--yet somehow never lost time or money on my end. The irony deepened when I was offered a credit for RING's monthly monitoring service--monitoring equipment I did not have and could not install. A service credit for a service that cannot be used is not a resolution; it is a distraction. The consequences extended beyond inconvenience. I paid $1,091.99 for professional installation through OnTech, only for the technician to confirm what I already knew: the required equipment was missing. I was forced to cancel installation three separate times and ultimately request a refund. These delays and missteps were not mine--they were the direct result of RING's failure to deliver what was sold. As a senior citizen, a veteran, and a small business owner, this experience has been particularly disheartening. Security companies trade on trust. When that trust is broken, the damage goes far beyond a missed shipment. RING's customer service does not "ring true," their promises do not "ring hollow"--they simply never ring at all. My hope in sharing this is not retaliation, but warning. Consumers deserve clarity, competence, and accountability--especially when purchasing products meant to protect their livelihoods and safety. Based on my experience, RING repeatedly failed to deliver on all three. If you are considering doing business with RING, proceed with caution. Their customer service is horrible!! The lack of communication cost me lost videos which I need. I have sent their Subpeona department multiple requests and they haven't responded for over a month. Customer service says they have no way of contacting them. Videos keeps skipping. Leaving out important details. One minute vehicles aren't there the next minute they are and it is not showing any movement in between. Definitely looking to cancel my service with them. read more

The camera is good, but what is not good is that it only includes about a month of service; after that time you have to pay a monthly payment to have access to the service, and without the service, you still receive notifications but it doesn't record anything, and another thing is that it takes a few seconds to start recording. read more

Ring installed cameras at my home this January, and after 1 month, one camera already failed. They replaced it, but refuse to install it, saying I have to pay someone myself to do so. I ordered a Ring bundle as well as several cameras and other items. I got all the extra items but not the bundle. When I called they said the bundle was not fulfillable as they did not have it in stock and would refund that portion. The bundle is still up for sale on their website but at a higher price and when I asked to speak to a supervisor they would not do so. Kept saying it was not fulfillable even when I told them the same bundle is still for sale on their website. I even put it in a cart to see if the order would be taken or not, and it would. RIPOFF SCAM! I am returning all the items that were delivered as without the brains in the bundle the rest is useless. As a customer of 8 years with a Ring Doorbell and a Ring Stickup Camera, I have become very disenchanted with the quality of what I'm paying essentially $100 per year in subscription fees for. The Stickup Camera only captures video of people walking across the street from my condo, and essentially nothing within 50 feet. The capture time for both are terribly slow, and when I decided to non-renew my subscription when it comes up in February, it was not allowed. I could only cancel immediately, and end my service today. Not to worry, as soon as my new cameras are purchased and installed, I'll cancel then, instead of letting Ring have my business for another 90 days. read more

HORRIBLE!! They took my money, gave me an estimated date of arrival. It never came. I didn't get an email with a tracking number so I called to find out when to expect it. It took half an hour for someone to finally come on and say it was out of stock and would come " sometime in a week." I told him if it was out of order they should have said that on the website and should not have taken my money and that once they realize that it was out of order, they should've updated me. I told him it was terrible customer service and I asked for an exact date when I can expect it and he could not give me that. I said well I'm moving this week. They told me a date of arrival, and I expected it to be here by then and if they can't tell me exactly when it's coming this week, then I need to cancel my order because I physically won't be at this address anymore. I never even got a tracking number. It all just feels so shady. It feels like a scam. I asked when I can expect my money back in my account so that I can go buy a similar product somewhere else and they said 5 to 7 days. so basically they took my money, weren't able to give me a product, and now they're not able to give me my money back for a week So I can't go and buy from a competitor. I told him I would like to speak to a manager because I would like my money to be expedited but there is no supervisor for me to speak to. I asked him for a reference number for this call and he says that that is for internal use only and they can't share that with me. I told him that I was not phone until he gave me some sort of confirmation of our conversation and asked if they would be sending me an email to confirm that I'm canceling my order and he said it would come in the next hour or two. I said we are not hanging up the phone until you send me that email. This is horrible customer service. The man told me that he will have a manager call me within the next 24 hours, but I'm not holding my breath at this point. i've never used them before so this was my first experience with and it was a terrible one. First of all Ring is the best thing out there for security. I've had my ring doorbell/camara for 4 years. I also have the ring security cameras in front of my house and in back. It definitely is the best on the market in my opinion. Plus it's so easy to hook up. It comes with the App that you can see what's going with your phone. Ring used to be great. It had good customer service and was pretty self-explanatory to use. Now it simply doesn't work, and today I called customer service because I kept getting alerts because it's windy and the camera thinks people are at my door. I've tried turning them off, snoozing them, and after calling customer service she told me I needed to turn them to silent and turn off "rich" notifications. NOTHING WORKED. I'm still getting alerts that set off my dogs and make it impossible for me to work, and when I was telling her I need to find a way to turn off the alerts so I can work, she hung up on me. Not recommended. I'm going to look for a different system. read more

Ring definitely not worth it.. I had Ring for a year paid $215.95 for the premium plan two days after my subscription expired someone broke into my house while on vacation. I had issues resubscribing on the website so I called... was told yea you can resubscribe for 199.99 again($215 after taxes) but i wouldn't be able to access the footage of my home being broke into because it was deleted by Ring. Needless to say I definitely WILL NOT re subscribe to Ring..I'm taking my money & business back to Vivint. Never had any issues getting past recording with them and their customer service in my experience and opinion is much better and they actually have Americans answering their customer service lines! read more

Every ring camera that we've purchased has had to be replaced within months. Some cameras 2-3 times so far. Talking to the Indian customer service people is just awful. They will ask a question and just continue talking for another minute or two never giving you a chance to just answer. They talk and talk and talk and talk. I'm on the call with them for over an hour each time for something that could have been discussed in 15 minutes. I wish I'd NEVER purchased the alarm system and all of the cameras. I ordered a RING Doorbell, 4 outdoor cameras and a safety sign 6 days ago. The order was not received and i did get an email from RING saying my order was delayed. I finally got through to the customer service line and it was a nightmare. My order did not show up on my account, my credit card was billed 5 days ago. The person did not have my email associated with my account for some reason. There accounting /web site is messed up. I was logged into my account during the phone call, and it said I didn't have an order pending, but RING did send me several emails. Then when I did talk to someone, they said my order was backordered for 4 to 5 more weeks. I ask why they charged my credit card the day after I created the order when they knew I wouldn't get my parts for 7 or more weeks. Then they told me that it would take 5 to 7 days to credit my credit card and to cancel my order. RING has some serious problems right now... There customer service could be the worst ever ranking, even lower than Microsoft, if there is anyway to go below the bottom ranking! I'm going to go to a different company to get my system, and I'm also telling my family not to purchase RING after all this. read more

If I could leave a zero I would . First the system said it had a 180 day free monitoring but was shut off after 30 days . When I realized they had shut it OFF. I logged in to find out that was BS . So I tried to pay for it in the app and when I typed in my debit card that I use every day multiple times at my business it said card number not valid. Then I call , get some guy that clearly wasn't born with the name ROBERT. And while I'm on hold I get the pleasure of finding out that " ring will never ask your full card number over the phone " so yippee I can't talk to someone to pay over the phone. Then " ROBERT " insists there must be something wrong with my card !!!!! He tells me to just keep trying back on their app later ?????? So 30 minutes wasted not getting any service. Then I google leave a review . Google says you can leave a review on Rings website but that too was a LIE! Ring is garbage, they have ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. They have no way of contacting and what made me feel the most wonderful about the experience is when I was actually speaking to someone it was clearly MY FAULT. read more

Ring is great. I've been a long time customer. App is very user friendly. My system consists of 8 cameras (doorbell included), alarm, smoke and co2 detection. Been loving it for years. Was very aware of the price increase to $19.99. Still very worth it. Had to recently make the plan change to Home Premium as everyone will only to be VERY disappointed. So the only feature that made it worth wild to me was the 24/7 recording option. But only TWO of my cameras are " compatible"?? What the shit?? My battery stick up cams aren't compatible? They are only TWO years old. My 2nd gen plug in cams aren't combatible either. This is VERY disappointing. I'm going to have to move cameras around now and buy two newer ones because there is 4 areas I'd like recorded 24/7. Now it gets worse... II wwas even more disappointed to see once I changed over to the mandatory home premium plan that it is another $10 a month on top of the $19.99 to monitor my alarm. Total after tax is over $32. So I'm now paying 3x's the amount that I was paying only a month ago and I can only use the ONE cool new feature to me on 2 of my 8 cameras. I have alot of money into my system. Just very disappointed in Ring right now. Of course I'm going to deal with it because I'm committed because my whole system is Ring and it would cost me a couple grand easy to switch to Google stuff or another brand. The Ring Doorbell works, and you would never have an issue unless you move, need to add a user, merge an account or change basically anything aside from the original set up. Any other brand makes these changes easy, because life happens. At the very least you can call if you have trouble and they can merge accounts easily and probably anything else you want. Do yourself a favor, save the headache and go with Simply Safe or another brand. We tried their step by step transferring of a device, along with multiple calls and were told to wait 15 days each time. Well, 6 months later I am giving up and purchasing Simply Safe. Had very few issues with Ring until I went to order an additional camera to add to my system. I ordered a refurbished black stick-up camera, extra 10-foot cord and solar panel. I received tracking information and when I finally received the order, they had not sent the camera. I attempted to check thru their online portal and finally after being bounced from one area to another (an hour) I finally got a number to call. Everything that I had received up to that point had said, if your order is going to ship in more than one parcel, you will receive information that it is arriving that way. I made contact with them and was told that yes, I would receive in another package, but she didn't have any information on if they had it in stock and a possible shipment date. Not having a shipping date, I asked her for a credit for that part of the order and I would order a brand new one which I was sure they had in stock. After another 10 minutes on the phone, while she checked with "management" I was informed that they couldn't issue a refund because the order had already shipped. The only option for a refund would be if I received it and started a return on it (if I receive it). It would be nice if they don't have stuff in stock for them to not sell it. read more
