Food has no flavor it's very bland. The enchiladas it's like you're eating tortillas drenched in oil. Nothing is good.

My dad ordered the Ceviche Nayarit, I ordered the Enchiladas La Casita Mexicana and my wife ordered the Enchiladas Tres Moles. The ceviche tasted fresh, but not really my favorite dish were had. I would say the Enchiladas Tres Moles was my favorite dish we picked. My only problem with that dish was that I wanted more. The plate they served it on made the 3 Enchiladas look small. Customer service was great. Food was great. The interior/exterior was really nice. If you have dogs the patio section in the back is where you'll want to eat from. Great experience. I'd come here again.

This place is not bad, but I went in expecting more. I heard about the owners, former chefs or…read moresomething, not 100% sure BUT something along those lines, they were making OG mole so I had been wanting to go there. I forgot exactly what I had, I want to say it was bistec ranchero or something like that. it was good, nothing bad, but also felt average. They served us chips with mole on top and I was like, why did they pour mole all over, bring a little bucket of mole and let me dip it on the side. That's what a good Christian would do, but no, they went with an anti-Christian practice here, communist almost. don't assume I want everything with mole. I would have been ok with it if the mole had been bomb ass good, but it was ok. I had heard this place used original Oaxacan mole or something so I was hyped. My wife had some eggs with whatever the heck a Filipino woman orders at a Mexican place and she's was fine. I feel bad about this review, maybe this place is a victim of its former reputation, and I was expecting very good Mexican food and all I got was OK Mexican food. Also, for a true Mexican spot, you need to have café Mexicano, with canelita and the waiter told me they didn't have any. How can this be? I do not approve. Maybe if you are white or non-Mexican or a fake Mexican, I think you would have a different opinion of this place, you might think is great, just like El Torito is. Am I confusing this place with some other restaurant because the place I heard of was in Bell and the cooks/chefs were this renowned chefs and I don't think that's the case here or now. For sure, this place is not bad and I don't think you will get bad food, it was just underwhelming.

For us, that's El Ranchito in Huntington Park. It's a family-owned, authentic Mexican restaurant that has had the community on its back for the last 6 decades. They hand-make the tortillas right in front of you, serve up fresh chunky guac, and make their iconic Mama Avila's soup fresh daily. It's rare that a soup has me hitting a stank face, but here we are. The Camarones al mojo de ajo is a can't miss appetizer. It's succulent shrimp sauteed in butter and fresh garlic, made to be eaten with the piping hot homemade tortillas. They have all the traditional Mexican dishes, my brothers go to is the chile relleno, but I always just run the fajitas. I'm sure I'll get clowned for this, but nothing heals my trauma and existential dread like a plate of sizzling fajitas. My pops has worked in the area for longer than I've been alive, so El Ranchito has seen every iteration of me, and of my family. For that, I am grateful. I'll be coming here until the wheels fall off. EL RANCHITO ALL STARS!!! IG @johnny.novo Tiktok @jnov__ Substack @johnnynovo

The restaurant is small, quaint, and full of heart, the kind of place where you can feel the love and care that goes into every dish. The food is absolutely exceptional--truly home-cooked in the best sense of the word. Every bite tastes like it came straight out of your mom's kitchen: comforting, flavorful, and made with intention. Nothing feels rushed or mass-produced; it's clear everything is prepared with pride and tradition. Don't be fooled by the unassuming location or modest size. This spot delivers big on quality and authenticity. If you're craving real, soulful, homemade Mexican food and a genuine, personal dining experience, Rajas y Crema is exactly where you want to be. Highly recommended--you'll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

My favorite appetizer are the Molletes which are toasted bolillos with chorizo and bean spread topped with cheese and pico de gallo. My favorite plates are the Carne en su Jugo, which is pork in green chilli sauce, and the Albondigas beef meatball soup. The soup is plentiful and doesn't disappoint in flavor. The meatballs are tender and have a perfect flavor profile of herbs and spice. Honestly, nothing disappoints here. The Pollo in Mole is also delicious. The tortillas are fresh and hand made. The Pollo con Rajas is creamy, cheesy, flavorful and the chicken has always been juicy underneath all that sauce, cooked perfectly. I've also had the teak tacos and they're filling, tasty, and a perfectly compliment to anything you will order. The sides are usually rice and beans and they've always been perfect. The rice is soft and the beans are addicting. Javier is always warm and friendly, he does an amazing job with his restaurant. He tends to his patrons wonderfully and deserves all praise, as well as his staff. They compliment the small dining area and make you feel like you're eating at home or with family. I'll gladly continue to eat at Rajas con Crema every time I'm in town. Parking is street parking so it can be iffy. Thank you so much for the fantastic experience!

We came for breakfast and I love that they open earlier than most places in the area. As we walked in we were greeted by a super friendly waitress whom welcomed us and made us feel right at home. I ordered Huevos Rancheros and my wife ordered chilaquiles. The presentation was phenomenal. I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into this delicious looking meal. Once I did, it did not disappoint. The food was delicious. My order came with two eggs on a tostada with a very tasty sauce all over them, it included beans and some very tasty potatoes. The final touch was a delicious quesadilla with a corn tortilla folded in half. It reminded me of, "El Tacazo". Excellent Mexican breakfast. The place itself was very clean and nicely decorated. It was inviting and left me wanting to come back. I can't wait to return and try the other things on their menu. Great find and to think that I was so close to it on so many occasions. Will definitely be back.
