I literally dream about their empanadas. This is a tiny little Colombian spot in New Rochelle - my boyfriend introduced me to it and ever since, I have had crazy cravings for some of their food! Rinconcito has an old time diner feel to it - you have the option of sitting up at the counter on raised red stools or at one of the 3 small tables against the wall. It can get a little warm in there, but only because you are right next to the kitchen no matter where you sit! The first time we came here, I made the mistake of ordering a bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll. What was I thinking?!? Yes, it was good, but I was being too cautious. I tried some of my bf's empanada and I was INSTANTLY hooked! We wound up ordering a second round of empanadas that morning! Since then, we've gotten take out a few times - I got to try the chicharrone. So sinful, but so delicious! Not to mention the salsa verde that they give you with each order...MMM! I'm counting the days til I can get back up to NY to gorge myself on Colombian food again!!

This is a great little Colombian spot right next to my brother's salon. They have all of the traditional Colombian foods like steak, eggs & rice along with some of the drinks that I've never gotten to taste but always see at Colombian restaurants. They also have some of the basic Spanish & American food, but I don't mess with that stuff. I can tell it's not their thing. Stick with the empanadas, arepas, and traditional Colombian food. All of that stuff is really good.

We found this little Colombian gem, because it's across the street from the bike shop were my husband services his bike. I am Colombian and I always crave "my" food. The place is family run, very attentive and has a polite staff. The food is very good and fresh! We usually have breakfast (Arepas, coffee, eggs) the but last time we had lunch, chicken soup with all the Colombian fixings! Fantasic! It's not fancy but it reminds me of home! :)

So happy to be eating Columbian food! My dad's family is from Bogota and I had wanted to order the Ajiaco (chicken and potato soup common in Bogota) but they didn't have any today. Instead, I ordered a lentil soup that one of the other customers recommended, which was delicious. I also ordered a pan de bono (savory bread made with yuca flour) and an empanada de res. The manager was extremely friendly and after talking to me he offered for me to try their buñuelos (round slightly sweet bread) and natilla (Christmas dessert). I would definitely recommend and now I get to surprise my dad with some of his favorite treats over the holidays. Yay! The restaurant itself is small and is a diner-style eatery. CASH ONLY.

This place was found walking around New Rochelle and this place is worthy for a eat in when in this town. The food is authentic Latin in flavors and the prices are the best for each meal. If I wasn't living in the state of Florida, I would try everything in the menu... until my death bed. Recommended for anyone who wants a taste of Latin cooking.

The bar in the front was busy but the dining room was pretty empty so we were able to choose our table. First thing that stood out to me was the cute vibes of the place. The art work on the walls and different backdrops- great for a photo session. We were given two paper menus and an iPad with photos of the food. That was pretty cool, especially for someone like me who likes to see photos of the food I'm eating before I even choose a restaurant. Service was fine and staff were friendly however the wait time for our food especially in an empty dining room took a while. Now, the food was AMAZING. We ordered Cuba Tabaco y Ron (Latino eggrolls) as an app - SO good. We got a Lomo Sushi Roll to share, which was tasty. I got the Roasted Pernil and my husband got the Honey Glazed Salmon. Both were delicious and filling. Would definitely check this place out if you enjoy Latin fusion food. It's such a cute and romantic place. I will say I got a headache from the red lights above us, I wish there would have been more clear lighting at the table but regardless this is a place to check out.

The empanadas were the best I've ever, ever had. Crispy outside. Great filling to ratio. Seasoned well. Not oily. The flavor was soft and delicate. The sangria was delicious. I highly recommend. The blackberry margarita was outstanding. Almost had a hint of a michelada to it. We ordered the platano relleno. Definitely order that. Again the best one I've ever had. Sweet, fresh and the juxtaposition of seasoning to meat and cheese and plantsin was beyond delicious. They also have good Columbian sodas. The apple and cola weren't overly sweet. The pork chicharon ceviche was again the best I've ever tasted. The chicharon here is impeccable. The onions weren't soggy and weren't potent. The blended well with the citrus and chicharon. The bandeja paisa was outstanding. Every protein was cooked perfectly. We ordered steaks that were juicy. The veggies amazing. The cgar grilled tasted yes. Theres an onion and tomato side I could eat plates with the rice. Thats how good it was. The guava and apple empanadas were like fall in the mouth. Well be back. Everything else was phenomenal too. Mango, chicken. Xoxo.
