The food here is great and I ordered through the Eat24 app on Yelp. I ordered the Rincon Steak and Ceviche which was delicious and flavorful. The Rincon Steak comes with tomatoes and rice while the ceviche came with baked corn kernels. Ordering through the app was easy-to-use. Normally you have to wait between 60 - 75 minutes for the order which I did, but it seemed late so I called the restaurant to check on the order based on the app recommendation. When I called the restaurant, they said that the app never called them to place the order, so I decided to then reach out to Eat24 to see if I could a get a refund. Before I did, the delivery guy came out with me food. I was really confused and didn't know where the disconnect was, but I don't plan to order from here due to the potential to not receiving my food. read more

Awesome...had 1/2 chicken, yuca, and salad...everything was fresh, everything was perfectly cooked...green and yellow sauces were delicious. Brought me a gratis shot of Chicha to taste...very good. Placed an order for takeout and staff seemed friendly but we were very disappointed with the food. Came based on a recommendation from a friend who said it was the best Peruvian place in the area. Maybe the fine-in food is better but everything was bland and tasted reheated (like microwaved). The fried rice and plantains definitely didn't meet my expectations and they really skimped on the sauces in the takeout bag. I wasn't going to come on here to give this place a bad review due to it being Peru's Independence Day, which means it was super busy. But I had to come here because of the owners approach on handling this situation. We waited about an hour for our food, and once we did get the tallerines verdes we found a hair on the first bite. We let our waitress know and she told the owner. She came out and looked at us with disbelief. Like if we would lie about something like that. She kept saying I don't know where it would come from? That's like "never" happened... She tried to make it better by trying to make another plate but mind you we already waited an hour for our food and my niece was starving. So that was a no. And that was basically all she could offer us. A new plate to wait longer and her face with full disbelief. I won't be coming back. Decent place, but not as good as my old stand-by, Chicken On the Run, in Bethesda. Very good portions for the price, with tender chicken and crispy yucca fries. Plaintains were meh, however, and needed some caramel-ization and sweetness. The Papas Rellenos was ok as well and needed some more beef and olives (there was only one piece in there). This place is absolutely sad. The food is mediocre and not better than any other Peruvian chicken in the area. My wife and I went there for a quick lunch and we were very disappointed.I ordered Pollo a la brasa and it came out 5 minutes after I ordered it. My wife ordered a chicken sandwich and it took 20 minutes to get to the table, at that time I was just staring at my food waiting for hers to arrive. That's not the worst part. The waitress gave us the worst service we ever had, she's definitely scaring customers not to come back. She was rude, did not bother to check on us even once, nor did she apologize for the wait on the food AND she added a 15% gratuity for a party for 2. One caveat: I tried this place on Mother's Day, which most every restaurant was packed. This place was very busy and therefore slow. We were lucky to be seated quickly, but the food took long to arrive at our table and not at the same time... like 10 minutes between our three mains. I even had to ask for water twice. My son's Caufe con carne came out piping hot and he enjoyed it very much. I thought the flavors were good, but the quantity could've been more for the price. My main entree came later and was not piping hot leading me to believe the waitress left my dish sitting. The pollo a la brasa was middle of the road... a bit overly cooked for my tastes. The caufa side was okay and the fried yucca very good. We noticed that two gentlemen seated 10 minutes after us received their food just before mine, so I was a bit peeved. The wife's trio Marino seafood dish arrived later. The presentation was nice but the wait and $30 price tag was not. The flavors were very good, but I thought the calamari and mussels in two of the dishes were over cooked. My Peruvian wife liked it and she is quite the connoisseur, so that's saying much. One of the women owners did come by and talked with us, so that was a nice touch, as well as a Mother's Day mug gift for my wife. Overall, the service was not very efficient but friendly. The dishes had good flavor but cooked evenly. The price was a bit high for location and food received, but wife was happy so that most important. I have been to this restaurant two weeks in a row and find the ceviche to be pretty darn good. I tried their arroz con mariscos which hit the spot, but I would not rate it as a must have. Their lomo saltado was nicely seasoned and had that seared by a flame factor (Peruvians know the deal). First and last time here! It was horrible. The place looks very nice but the service quality was the worst. We got a Trio Marino, which comes with Jalea, Ceviche and Arroz con Mariscos. My first time at Rincon Peruano, and i was extremely pleased. Ive had no finer of a pork sandwich in years. Im returning again since its also just a couple of blocks away from our office and has such a fantastic quality and a great value. Pan con Chicharron Braised boneless pork sandwich served on Peruvian style bread with salsa criolla (Peruvian style onion salad) and crisp sweet potato. Nearly 1/2 pound of meat for only $8.00.
