This has got to be the worst place to eat. Music was blaring. Their alarm panel kept loudly beeping less than every minute. The are in violation of the Truth in Menu Law, which is Federal. All of their prices are blacked out so you didn't know what you were paying for each item. Had to ask for things several times. Server was clueless. The chips were hardly crispy, and tasted as though they were several days old. One of us had to order twice because they were out of a common menu item before it was even 12:15 pm. Server told us they didn't have flour tortillas. How can a restaurant like this not have those, especially this early in the day? We were told they had them. Again, server was clueless. The fajitas were not fit to feed a dog. Dry, not grilled at all, and had absolutely no flavor. The guacamole was extremely over salted. The bathroom was disgusting! How bout you clean it? The fixtures haven't been clean since they came over on the Mayflower! Unless you are a glutton for punishment, I recommend you avoid eating here. Not worth the time or money. read more

07/13/2019 was my first time trying this restaurant. Location is great, but it's tucked away, so you have to know where to find it. We came because I wanted to try a new place, and also I was told the pupusas here are really good. I tried the chicken enchiladas, and I took three pupusas to go: 1 chicken, 1 pork, 1 bean and cheese. They were all good, fresh, made-to-order. The pork pupusa didn't have as much flavor as I would hope...and not a lot of pork either. The curtido was fresh and added the perfect touch. I also tried their Horchata, which seemed to be a little "thin " in comparison to others I have tried...But it was tasty and refreshing. The restaurant itself is no frills. Nothing super fancy, but the have nice screens if you want to watch sports. Overall, I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, and I'll certainly visit again! read more

Alright. I've been wanting to come here for a while and it took my mom getting adventurous to try it out. The last time I got near this place was to get a take home menu to watch from afar. They had the Pacquio / Merryweather posters up then and still have them up. Is it possible they're fighting on a regular basis? Are they like the Billy Joels of Latino culture entertainment? By the way, I couldn't understand why Latinos get so excited about a Filipino boxer until it dawned on me that Spain's genetic manipulation of the Philippines is no different from what they did throughout the Americas... I get it! It just annoys the piss out of me now and that's before I opened the door to the place. Large space! I like that they have a bar in the corner so I'm sure to come back for that. The first things I noticed (and how can you not) were the ten to fifteen tvs they have, overwhelming the senses. All but one of them had a soccer game on with Chile, which was pretty cool in itself but it's just unneccessary. Even a hardcore sports fan might think it's too much. The music was a little too loud, looping the same songs and was on instead of the audio for the game. Not a complete deal breaker but it kind of confirms to me that they don't understand the concept of less is more. There's a lot to select from the menu but the pictures kind of make the food look like a mess. Looks like they turned up the contrast and put the images through a technicolor layer. Kind of looked like they were serving crime scene body parts, surely they're not serving what I'm seeing here!? So I stuck to my regular choice of ordering a burger, how good of a place can it be if they fuck that up? My mom ordered a enchilada plate and pupusas. While we were waiting for the food and trying to turn the idea of getting food poisoning as a rare and positive experience, I noticed there was a presence of body order which (for the first time) wasn't coming from me! Maybe it was the humidity because we were sitting right near the door but It called my attention to something I've noticed about restaurants, is how often they wipe things down. A table of nine or so had left at some point and their table hadn't been bussed / cleaned for the entire hour or so that we were there. They could so something about the table covers btw, they were an ugly tan. It would be better if they had white or something that really stands out more. It didn't help. The burger I got was on the low-end of things as far as presentation. I'm not saying that this place should be like Gordon Ramsey, but this thing looked kind of deflated despite it having two patties. My mom's enchiladas were large and covered in cheap cheese, the kind that's oily, salted and flourescent orange? It's the kind of food you have to eat right off the skillet and on the way to the table before it gets cold, which happened pretty fast. Look, this is one of those I'll-eat-the-crotch-out-of-a-rag-doll places because we were hungry and it served that purpose. This is a sort-of review. I didn't actually eat here, rather, a coworker brought me back food from here today. Specifically, the pupusas. Oh my goodness they were FANTASTIC. Super duper flavorful, and the cabbage stuff that comes with it (curtido) is perfectly flavored and crisp! The pupusas here are amazing! I haven't tried much of anything else besides the fajitas which were seasoned well but a little dry. I like the ratio of filling to dough and my favorite is the bean and cheese one. Also the curtido (cabbage slaw) gives it a crunchy refreshing texture so don't forget to add that on! This place also gives complementary chips, salsa, and bean dip (best I ever had!) If you want reasonably priced El Salvadorian food this place is worth a try! read more

I cannot tell you how often I come to this place. It is my favorite Salvadoran restaurant. The food is authentic Salvadoran I would know I am Salvadoran. They have the best pupusas almost as good as my mom's. The portions are large and the prices are low. If you are a soccer fan like most latinos are, this is the place to be! Atmosphere is loud and fun! When there is an inportant match like the Spanish clasico this place will be PACKED! Get there early if you want to watch the game or just avoid the place if you don't like soccer. Not all servers speak English but they are very nice. Met up with the fellas there last night. The food was good. Had the pupusas. The service wasnt horrible but it wasnt great either. It was kind of right down the middle. This is going to be hard because the food was amazing but the night we went with our friends who have been there many times was an experience that was a bit difficult to endure. But we did because there was a group of us and we have actually been planning to go to this restaurant for a maybe a year. It was one of those evenings that all six of us could meet for dinner together. There was live music, we for someone's birthday, but we're not sure. Very few people in the restaurant when we got there at around 6:30 PM. The music was so loud it was incredibly uncomfortable. The speakers were turned up so high that I bet the people in every single store along that shopping center must've heard them. Our friend who suggested we eat here asked the waitress to ask the musicians to turn the speakers down but that never happened. I believe the food was pretty good, but all I really remember is the loud music. We didn't want to be rude and ask them to turn the music down another time so we didn't. I'm not sure I'll go back just because it's not nearby and there are two other Salvadoran restaurants right down the street from where I work and they are also pretty good. AND I haven't experienced yelling at my fellow diners across the table while live musicians, only two people, entertain. Whew! read more

Anoche fui a el rincón latino , se tardaron tanto en nuestras comidas para que viniera fría y lo único que dijo que podía hacer es calentarla en el microondas y la yuca salió media cruda y no reclamamos nada porque lo que ya avía dicho ósea uno va con las esperanzas que la comida esté recién hecha y calentita , cuando digo que venía fría nuestra comida absolutamente toda hasta los frijoles que acompañan con los chips , menos las pupusas de las nenas . La mesera que tenían atendiéndolos quizás porque faltaba una hora y media par cerrar andaba de malas pero cuando le hablábamos se hacía que no era con ella se iba para otra mesas oh como que no escuchaba , le pedimos cervilletas y nunca las trajo tuvimos que repasar las únicas servilletas que traen los cubiertos que los ponene en la mesa fue pésimo servicio que ni propina le dejé que creo que un review no es suficiente , espero que puedan trabajar en haciendo buen servicio ! read more

The time we went, the food was terrible. Rice is tasteless, the pupusas are just ok. I ordered the chile relleno and usually a chile relleno plate comes with a sauce topped on top of the chile. WELL NOT HERE! They batter it in egg, fry it and serve it like that with no sauce or anything on top. just plain dry and nasty. and as other reviewers have said, music is TOO loud. This was my first time with Salvadorian food, and it was a great experience. The pupusa's were excellent and two were way more than I could eat. The black beans and rice were really good and a nice change from traditional Spanish rice and beans. The guacamole was fresh and perfectly spiced for me. All the food was hot, fresh, and made to order. The only thing I would skip next time would be the queso dip, as it tasted like it was a mix. Overall I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to try authentic Salvadorian food. read more

After reading most reviews I guess I wasn't the only one that took too long to get their food, but over an hour to get cold food that looked that it was left overs from a week ago? REALLY? I love Pupusas, I was recommended to this place for being authentic, but the Pupusas were more like stuffed Chalupas from Taco Bell. Then the bill comes to over $50 for 2 persons, REALLY? should have gone to Olive Garden, at least it would have been good food. This has been one of our favorite restaurants for years. It's Salvadorian food, and they also have Mexican food selections. My favorite dish is the Consume de Camorones, which is a cream of shrimp soup. They have very reasonable prices and large portions. Also, their fried sweet plantains are the BEST! read more
