Food

They charge you 0.27 cents fee for using the machine but I paid CASH . Happened to me when I bought three tamales Also Menu doesn't show prices so be aware that basically your order food without knowing the prices of the plates.

People go to restaurants to have a good time with friends and family. El Salvador was playing and this ignorant people were loud for over three hours. I winded up leaving do to the noise. I would not recommend this place at all. First and last time I come here.

Pupusas made fresh!

07/13/2019 was my first time trying this restaurant. Location is great, but it's tucked away, so you have to know where to find it. We came because I wanted to try a new place, and also I was told the pupusas here are really good. I tried the chicken enchiladas, and I took three pupusas to go: 1 chicken, 1 pork, 1 bean and cheese. They were all good, fresh, made-to-order. The pork pupusa didn't have as much flavor as I would hope...and not a lot of pork either. The curtido was fresh and added the perfect touch. I also tried their Horchata, which seemed to be a little "thin " in comparison to others I have tried...But it was tasty and refreshing. The restaurant itself is no frills. Nothing super fancy, but the have nice screens if you want to watch sports. Overall, I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, and I'll certainly visit again!

Alright. I've been wanting to come here for a while and it took my mom getting adventurous to try it out. The last time I got near this place was to get a take home menu to watch from afar. They had the Pacquio / Merryweather posters up then and still have them up. Is it possible they're fighting on a regular basis? Are they like the Billy Joels of Latino culture entertainment? By the way, I couldn't understand why Latinos get so excited about a Filipino boxer until it dawned on me that Spain's genetic manipulation of the Philippines is no different from what they did throughout the Americas... I get it! It just annoys the piss out of me now and that's before I opened the door to the place. Large space! I like that they have a bar in the corner so I'm sure to come back for that. The first things I noticed (and how can you not) were the ten to fifteen tvs they have, overwhelming the senses. All but one of them had a soccer game on with Chile, which was pretty cool in itself but it's just unneccessary. Even a hardcore sports fan might think it's too much. The music was a little too loud, looping the same songs and was on instead of the audio for the game. Not a complete deal breaker but it kind of confirms to me that they don't understand the concept of less is more. There's a lot to select from the menu but the pictures kind of make the food look like a mess. Looks like they turned up the contrast and put the images through a technicolor layer. Kind of looked like they were serving crime scene body parts, surely they're not serving what I'm seeing here!? So I stuck to my regular choice of ordering a burger, how good of a place can it be if they fuck that up? My mom ordered a enchilada plate and pupusas. While we were waiting for the food and trying to turn the idea of getting food poisoning as a rare and positive experience, I noticed there was a presence of body order which (for the first time) wasn't coming from me! Maybe it was the humidity because we were sitting right near the door but It called my attention to something I've noticed about restaurants, is how often they wipe things down. A table of nine or so had left at some point and their table hadn't been bussed / cleaned for the entire hour or so that we were there. They could so something about the table covers btw, they were an ugly tan. It would be better if they had white or something that really stands out more. It didn't help. The burger I got was on the low-end of things as far as presentation. I'm not saying that this place should be like Gordon Ramsey, but this thing looked kind of deflated despite it having two patties. My mom's enchiladas were large and covered in cheap cheese, the kind that's oily, salted and flourescent orange? It's the kind of food you have to eat right off the skillet and on the way to the table before it gets cold, which happened pretty fast. Look, this is one of those I'll-eat-the-crotch-out-of-a-rag-doll places because we were hungry and it served that purpose. Maybe I come back and get a little booze in me to make it a better experience?

This place is great. Real, authentic (according to my date) Salvadoreño comida. I enjoyed the Tamal de Elote, the bean dip, and of course, the pupusas. We went on a Friday night, and the place was pretty packed. Apparently they were having a drag show, but unfortunately we had to leave before the show started.

Pupusas ;)

Super Sloooooow. The servers can be rude depending on who you get. You'll be waiting for your food a good 45 minutes.

My first time I came here during my pupusas craving phase and made the trek here in hopes it was as good as I thought it would be. Its located on the corner in downtown Plano, it's a small location with parking behind the building. First time I decided on the queso, chicarron and revueltas( pork, bean and cheese) pupusas. All the pupusas were so good, the revueltas being my favorite. The pork in the revueltas was savory, I could actually taste all the ingredients and it had the perfect amount of cheese. Their salsa was ok, on the mild side. Still searching for a pupusas spot with really spicy sauce, but the curtido is one of my favs because it has that perfect vinegar kick that I love. Now.....I don't know what happened between my first visit and this recent visit which was maybe 4 months apart but it was like night and day in flavor. I ordered the chicharron and revueltas pupusas again but decided to branch out and ordered 1 chicken taco and 1 lengua taco. The pupusas were not the flavorful pupusas I had the first time. Also, the revueltas pupusas was really lacking in ingredients; I couldn't taste much pork or beans it was pretty cheese heavy. The chicken taco was just ok it needed way more flavor, but the lengua taco was on point it was very tender and not to fatty. Curtido still hits, mild sauce i could take or leave but the green sauce that I got was great, I hate that I only got 1 small cup because It really added good flavor to my food. I also tried the tres leches which is one of my favorite types of cake and it was not good to me at all. Despite the cake still having a few days before it expired it tasted old to me and had a flavor on the backend that I couldn't identify and made me wary of finishing it. The customer service was good both times and there is a good amount of seating inside. Maybe I caught them on an off day but because this place is not that close to me, it will be a long time before I return. Back on the pupusa hunt!
