It's organized, far more so than other stores of its kind. Things are sorted by category, and labeled with prices that are both reasonable and expected. Some items are straight from old, classic diners (plates, salt and pepper shakers and creamers) and others are obviously from well-loved collections. It's the pictures though, from when color film first became mainstream along with old black and white photos where no one smiles, that's a little sad. Maybe the things in this shop belonged to those people, but it's still unfortunate that these unknown people have had their pictures tossed into a basket at an antique store for others to ogle dispassionately. That's weird. Broadwater is still a nicely organized shop with things you expect to find as well as things you don't. With new inventory rotating in, if you see something, don't wait, it may not be there.

It's a great store, filled (although I'd call it "crammed") with kids clothing, toys, books and shoes for infants and small children. Precious Seconds is a thrift store, although the prices are only slightly less than retail -- at least on some items. The toys and books are in good condition, some only slightly worn. While there are clothes for the expectant parent, including some gorgeous dresses, that isn't the focus. It's the clothes and shoes that bring them in. Twice as Nice Consignment falls into the "nice" portion of its name…read more It has a mix of things typical of a consignment shop: clothing, shoes (even some new ones), jewelry, accessories and of the things I saw, all were reasonably priced. The tags are easy to read, dated by when the item came into the shop, and anything over 90 days is on sale half-off the ticket price. The racks are sorted by item and then by sizes. Twice as nice makes it as easy as possible to find things. I didn't see anything in the designer/high-end category, but I imagine if there were, those items would go quickly. Despite that, there are nice pieces, gently worn. Like most shops of this kind, it can be hit or miss on locating something, but it's still fun to explore. It's not too big to be overwhelming and not so small as to be overlooked. Twice as nice accepts items for consignment as well, so it works both for offloading things in your closet and picking up some new pieces to add back.

My son had visited the store before and requested that we go inside. Immediately we were greeted by Maggie who went out of her way to give us the history of the store and show us various products. She explained each product and how it was made. She was incredible. The amount of time she spent with us just to make sure we understood the quality of the product you make. We ended up buying two T-shirts not necessarily because we were looking to buy them but more because of the experience we had talking to her. To have that level of customer service and willingness to go out of your way is something not often visible today.
