The way that they have drastically changed the layout of the entire grocery side and part of the clothing areas has added so much time to finding and getting all the items necessary for shopping and it correlates to the shoppers that do the online orders and have to wait for their orders because the employees even have to get used to the new layout I don't understand why such a drastic layout change is acceptable. Store has re "organized" everything. Nothing makes any logical sense to its location. Feels like a maze now. I have specifically always gone out of my way to go this one (not the West End one) for easy stress free shopping. Staff are nice enough, but pretty indifferent. Im switching to Albertsons only. Might be more expensive, but between the digital price tags changing prices before I get to the register and the utter confusion of this layout I am over it. read more

BUYERS BEWARE Beyond livid. I got my tires changed at the heights Walmart a month ago. May 1st. I kept getting a weird traction control light on dry roads. I just got my brakes changed and the mechanic informed me that my tires weren't even torqued down. Literally they could've fell off at any time because I commute to and from work 45 miles both ways. FYI: I did call and speak to a Walmart service associate. All they had to say was that they "triple check everything, every time." Well this time they didn't. Again, buyers beware. Labor Day weekend I was shopping across Amazon, Costco, Best Buy and Office Depot but Victoria and Robert (Electronics) got me the best deal, best price and were gracious with their time and expertise. Walmart is lucky to have these employees and, it is a mark of their leadership team that these employees treat customers better than the competition. I had an issue regarding a faulty product and needed an exchange. When approached by the manager "tony" he, at first let me know that he would exchange the product out of good faith, even though I provided the receipt. I went and grabbed the exchange and when coming back to the counter I began to apologize, explaining how inconvenient the situation was. I was met with "oh were not even done here." He continued to berade, belittle and haze me in front of my 10 year old niece. He then continued by making demands instead of providing useful information, told me to call management and proceeded to laugh saying that he's the only management of the store. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a Walmart, let alone ANY business. Will not return under any circumstances. Allowing someone to act like this should not be in the company policy. read more

This is the average, over-needed, Walmart experience. The store everyone loves to hate, but needs to shop. Items are usually in stock, selection is quite large, pricing is fair. This store though, SO busy. Even at 3am when I went for a diaper run, I still saw at least 20 people in the section of the store I was in. .. wow. Don't go at the regular times or days (8am, noon, 5pm-8pm, weekends) if you aren't patient or if you don't have 30 minutes to burn. Customers are usually inconsiderate and employees aren't helpful or nice, and there's always someone on the median begging for cash... but, what's new. I gave it 3 stars instead of 2 because of the Santa we ran into this year. .. made my daughter like to go there more. read more

Ok so we went in to get 4 brand new tires we were going to spend at least 800.00 and Andrew working in the automotive department was so rude he first rolled his eyes when we gave him the slip with our size tires on it then he asked us what we needed so we said we needed tires in this size High miles the guy outside said to give him the slip and he would help us then Andrew said he couldn't help us and was very rude and had zero customer service skills. read more

I had a real mess with ink cartridge orders because my apartment building is locked down. The management will not accept package delivery for residents so getting any deliveries is a challenge. I had been dealing with charges and credits for missing deliveries for days when I called the Heights Walmart and spoke to Jenny Day. She understood my frustration and acted immediately to address my problem. She got the cartridges I needed and personally took them to the post office and mailed them to me. I had given up on Walmart for my ink needs until Jenny kindly dropped what she was doing and took care of me. My confidence in Walmart is restored and I feel better. Great customer service matters. We recently moved to Billings this past fall and have had a lovely experience so far. We live in the Heights but I work West End and will be using that Walmart from now on. We've lived all over the nation and all over the nation kids ride, sitting in the basket of shopping carts. It's not uncommon, we have 3 kids and I usually have one in the seat and another in the basket or riding on front in the interest getting through my shopping as quickly and painlessly as possible. However today my husband took our 3 kids shopping without me and as usual my 2 year old sat in the basket. After he did his shopping, checked out and was walking out the door the old woman with curly white hair who works as a greater/receipt checker began spinning her finger telling my son "Out, out, out, out of the basket. Out" confused my husband looks around but realizes she means our toddler (who is sitting on his rear end in the basket). She continues by saying "I know your dad can read, it says right on the cart kids can't ride in the basket". My husband, who is very level headed, is embarrassed because riding in the basket isn't uncommon and she's not only speaking to him like he's a child but she's telling our children what to do when they were already doing as directed by him (their parent), responds "Actually all of the English is scratched off, as is the majority of the picture and I can't read Spanish but I get the point" and continues to walk out. I have never in my life had anyone tell me the kids can't be in the basket and I'm confident had I been there she'd have, IF AT ALL, approached the situation in a more professional manner. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that he's a black guy with dreads in Montana but I will be very interested in seeing if this standard will be held across the board at this Walmart. Even if it is, you need to train your employees on speaking in a less demeaning manner and if they are incapable maybe little ol Gladys (that's not her real name) needs to find a new profession. Possibly one in which she works with small children since that seems to be the only way she knows how to communicate. read more

Giving two stars is being generous. Every time I go to Walmart the workers are rude very RUDE. One worker has told me before she can't help me because she's to busy and when I commented on it she said fine what do you need I was very displeased and just walked away. They said I would have to deal with customer service in the front of the store to fix their problem. I am a loyal customer to Wal-Mart. Having more than one in the area is always nice, but i prefer this one in the heights compared to the one on the west end. It is smaller, but it is easier to find things, and isn't always as crowded as the west end Wal-Mart. There are always happy faces to greet us at the door, and friendly staff to help us find anything we need. As always, there are those employees that don't always looked thrilled to be there, usually one of the cashiers, or one of the cart boys. I have had days I am in a hurry to get in and out. At times they do seem to have boxes stacked up in the aisles making it harder to get around, I thought they usually do stocking at night so they could avoid customers. Either way I will continue to shop at Wal-Mart! I love the selection, the prices, and the fact that we can order large items online, like the swing set we recently purchased, and have it shipped to the store for free! read more
