The tags are easy to read, dated by when the item came into the shop, and anything over 90 days is on sale half-off the ticket price. The racks are sorted by item and then by sizes. Twice as nice makes it as easy as possible to find things. I didn't see anything in the designer/high-end category, but I imagine if there were, those items would go quickly. Despite that, there are nice pieces, gently worn. Like most shops of this kind, it can be hit or miss on locating something, but it's still fun to explore. It's not too big to be overwhelming and not so small as to be overlooked. Twice as nice accepts items for consignment as well, so it works both for offloading things in your closet and picking up some new pieces to add back.

To which she said "ohh, they're too small," and put them back on the rack (they were actually my size) When I said I'd like to try them anyway, she smugly told me I could purchase them, but I still wasn't allowed to try them on. It was hands down the weirdest, most invasive, and humiliating shopping experience I've had. And it explains why the store is bursting at the seams with clothing. I doubt anyone actually buys anything after being treated like that. If you enjoy unsolicited body commentary and being size-policed over $20 vintage shorts, this place is for you. Otherwise, run. And a tip for the owner: If you want to run a 'by fitting only' boutique, then run a proper by-appointment fitting room where you pull sizes for people instead of wasting their time and humiliating them.
