Purchased a new-old-stock Lucas Distributor Cap from S&C in August 2020 for an exorbitant price…read moreUS$289.95 plus US$84.29 Shipping to Australia. Received the Cap in a well packed box which was undamaged and filled with shredded paper. Cap was in original box but upon close inspection I discovered a crack on the inside which was next to a dent on the rim suggesting to me that it had been dropped or hit against something. I contacted John Peters, the Owner of S&C via email within a few hours of receiving the distributor cap to let him know it was cracked. He said he would see if he can locate another one and that he would have to have the cap back but would maybe give me an address in Australia to send it to. After about four months I contacted S&C via email asking what was happening with finding a replacement. NO Response! I tried several more emails and again NO response. After about two months I sent an email to another email address at S&C and got a response from Darcy who calls herself Internet Sales. She ultimately agreed to refund me for the Distributor Cap but said she would have to get me the address to send the damaged one to in Australia. After a few weeks and no further emails or refund I sent an email with postage costs to send the cap back to S&C in Stamford CT. I said that the time to send it anywhere else had passed. So again NO response from S&C. I finally telephoned S&C and spoke to Steve and briefly explained what had happened and he said he would look into organising my refund. So several weeks later, NO responses and NO refund. I sent an email to the attention of John Peters giving them until March 31, 2021 to send me the refund. NO response and NO refund. As you may well imagine I am getting rather angry with S&C. If this is how Americans wish international customers to see business being done then all hope is lost for a global economy. My advice, DO NOT do business with Sports and Classics in Stamford, CT as you will be ripped off and ignored if there are any issues. If you are not in America I strongly suggest you avoid buying anything from S&C via their website. I don't think saying John Peter's is not dealing fairly or honestly is going too far. I have read the other negative post by Marc H. and can only concur with what he says. I read another negative post on another site which express the same sentiments as Marc H. and myself. I encourage other disgruntled customers of Sports and Classics in Stamford CT to document their bad experiences here also. Currently my thinking is why would I buy anything from America if this is how I am going to be treated.

What a mistake!!! wished I had read reviews before purchasing carpets for a 1965 BJ8 Healey. John…read morewas super nice when i called and asked for carpet samples. Within a few days the samples came and I ordered the best quality, again John was very nice and helpful. When the carpets arrived the pieces looked different from the photos that are posted online. i have square traction boxes in the rear seating area, the carpet i received was rounded and not square. The pieces that fit over the boxes are horrible. I sent John photos and explained the fit is wrong. his reply was " The pattern is from an original car we had dating back to the late 70'S ". That may be the case but it wasn't for a BJ8. I then called and spoke to another man, again very polite he told me he would send me instructions and a picture of how the parts fit. He sent me a drawing of the carpet on a piece of paper that was 3"x5". TERRIBLE. Never again.
