Erase Spa is my go-to for laser hair removal! If you live in…read moreNYC or the surrounding tri-state area, it's a short walk from Penn Station. Personally, I coordinate my appointments so I can go before or after work and just hop on the train. All of the techs are super nice and do a great job. Today I went to Erase Spa for my laser hair removal appointment, and I was genuinely excited to…read morebegin my session. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. Your website clearly states the estimated length of each laser treatment (for example, full legs - 20 minutes, stomach line - 15 minutes), so I had certain expectations regarding the quality and thoroughness of the service. I arrived early for my appointment and was the only client in the waiting room. After waiting about five minutes, the technician brought me in on time. From the start, there was very little communication. She only asked the standard questions about retinol use, antibiotics, and similar medical information, but she never explained the treatment process or what to expect during the session. What concerned me most was the treatment itself. The technician did not mark or properly assess the treatment areas, and it felt like she was simply guessing rather than being precise. She didn't pause to check that every area had been treated evenly. When I asked her to lower the air pressure because I was uncomfortable, my request was ignored. This location is not the same since the previous technicians left. The level of professionalism and attention to detail has noticeably declined. There was no welcoming atmosphere, no effort to make me feel comfortable, and no sense of structure. What was especially frustrating is that there wasn't a single other client waiting, yet the technician still rushed through my appointment. The session was completed much faster than expected, and I honestly do not believe all of the treatment areas were covered properly. Laser hair removal should be performed carefully and methodically. The technician should be checking that every section is treated evenly rather than rushing through the appointment. As a paying customer, I expect a thorough treatment that matches the standards your company advertises. I left feeling like my appointment was rushed and that I did not receive the quality of care I paid for. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so future clients receive the level of service they deserve

I've had many different technicians over the years, some better than others but all of them are professional when doing the treatments. The front desk staff in particular provides great customer service and are very easy to contact when I need to schedule or reschedule an appointment. I've had laser on most of my body and now I only need to go every couple of months for maintenance since some areas do grow back due to hormones. They use Cynosure laser and this has been very effictive for my skin. Getting laser was the best investment since I really don't ever have to worry about shaving anymore. They always have different promotions available so the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this place if you're interested in laser hair removal.

One is, so I can't even book until I provide a doctor's note. I could've done that weeks ago, and I would've just bought a 50% off package with the holiday deals and booked my first session if I didn't need to first come in for a 3 minute consult. The front desk staff was nice (though I have no clue what their names were because no one introduced themselves) and I was seen on time, so two stars for that, but three stars off for wasting my time. I've been preparing for weeks to begin laser treatments - no waxing, no sun, only shaving, etc., and now I'm unsure whether I should bother going back or find a different provider. UPDATE: Following my consultation, I received an email soliciting my feedback. I provided it and expressed that I had a poor experience during my consultation but remained interested in purchasing a package and working with a different specialist. No one acknowledged or responded. It now seems I'll be purchasing services elsewhere since Laser Spa doesn't care enough to earn my business with a simple response to an email. The location really is convenient and I prepared for many weeks for the treatments, so this is highly disappointing.

I visited the first time to get help with my acne scars on my cheeks and chin. It's been exactly a year now, and I just completed my 3rd session. There are several reasons I have loved this experience: No pressure. She doesn't say "come back in 4 weeks and get another session" or "you need another 3 times" etc. She lets me decide where my skin is at, how it heals, and when is right to come back. This lack of pressure is what, I'm sure, leads her to so many loyal clients. Her attitude and knowledge. In addition to the lack of pressure she puts on me to come back / frequency, she is funny, real, down to earth, and knowledgeable. I feel like I'm in great hands with Marta at all times. She knows what is up with each process, each laser, and can offer advice on pretty much anything -- even if she doesn't perform it. She's so genuinely interested in the craft that she knows about services she doesn't even perform, i.e. "hey how do you feel about cool sculpting?" Lastly, and most importantly, it works. Like really really well. I'm on (hopefully) one of my last laser sessions for this particular issue, and it's looking PRISTINE in comparison to when I first came in. I used to be embarrassed to leave the house with or without makeup, and would never go without it -- now, I find that i can shower on a weekend, leave my apartment, and not think twice about even putting on some light powder. Something I thought I'd never say.
