A+ service from minute one. Al is an expert in his field and will explain the process from start to finish. His entire staff has a great work ethic and very professional. They work hard, clean and keep to the deadline date. Water can cause a ton of damage in your home but most importantly stress. I lived in the city all my life and I believe every basement should have a French drain and sump pump as prevention. Do it "Right" the first time and call Rightway Waterproofing. read more

Rightway Waterproofing - Sump pump done right! - Waterproofing Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Al is extremely knowledgable and a top notch professional. We had a water issue and Al came out immediately and let us know what the problem was and what the resolution was. It was actually caused by grading on the exterior of our home and he pointed me in the right direction. He took the time to talk to me when I was completely stressed out and let me know exactly what we needed to do. He answered my follow up calls EVERYTIME. I can't thank Al and Rightway Waterproofing enough for their help. I don't think we would have resolved the issue at my home in a timely manner or at all without the help of Al. To add, we had several waterproofing companies come out and all the other companies suggested digging and french drains and 10s of thousands of dollars of work. Al took one look and knew what was wrong and pointed us in the right direction. We are so thankful for him because without him, we would most likely still have a water issue and we would have spent thousands of dollars if we went with another company. If you have water issues at your home, please call Al from Rightway Waterproofing. I already interviewed and talked with several companies located in Bucks County and Northeast Philadelphia so you don't have to waste your time searching for a reputable business. He is the absolute best and definitely #1 in the business. read more

I just called this company to get info on waterproofing my basement. Rather than offer services and solutions, 2 people got on the phone to tell me (lecture, really, because rather than allow me to speak they transferred me) why I'd be wasting my money. I appreciate the honesty and they seemed knowledgeable but they offered me nothing but a Ted Talk about how what I was asking for was wrong. I'm tempted to call them back and lecture them about why this is the wrong way to run a business. I'm not sure how you can say 'we don't do that' to someone who calls asking about basement waterproofing and your company literally has waterproofing in the name. read more

Rightway Waterproofing did an excellent job resolving the issues we were having in our basement. Al was personable and did exactly what he committed to. I liked that we were offered several options so that we could determine what worked for our budget. Our basement has been dry since they installed the sump pump. We are very happy with the work that was done. Highly recommend this company. read more

I was recommended Al and Rightway Waterproofing from a friend. The professionalism and quick response was amazing considering we had just had a huge storm. Al came out and explained everything to me and the guys were here and worked like a well oiled machine. After another epic rainfall I discovered that I was having water come in at a different location. I called Al who was here to look at the issue and then less than 24 hours later the crew was back to extend my French drain. The crew each time was professional and cared for my house like it was their own. They cleaned up everything and made sure to explain and go over everything. If you're on the fence and wondering if this is the right company, IT IS!!! Customer service is 10/10 PROFESSIONALISM 10/10 PRICE 10/10! Look no further! read more

I had a sump pump installed by Rightway in 2019 and they were very professional and respectful of my space. A couple of years later, there was an issue with the floater and again they provided great service. The manager Al, and his technician, Reinaldo, did a great Job in explaining what the issue was and provided excellent service by fixing it. My basement has been dry since the installation of my sump pump and I am happy with the service that I have received from the company. I would highly recommend them to anyone in search of a waterproofing company! read more

I don't understand how this company got any negative reviews. Our experience was nothing but positive. I'm thinks by maybe some people posted under the wrong company because the reviews listed are NOT even close to our experience. We called this company and spoke to Al. He came out and gave us an estimate on a home we were buying. There was water in the basement. He came out and inspected it thoroughly and showed us where the problems were. They were honest and fair on the price. We were so impressed with how knowledgeable Al was compared to other companies. We decided to buy the house and we had the work completed by RightWay. We are very Happy to say, the basement is DRY! They were on time, professional, fair and very easy to work with. Use this company for your waterproofing needs, you will not be disappointed! I can't say thanks enough to Al and his crew. read more

They contracted with me to fix a crack in my foundation but abandoned the job after 3 hours because they didn't feel like digging deep enough! The owner Al was rude and instead of honoring the contract he instructed his employees to leave. Update 12/5/2015: Funny that 3 years later someone from the company gets on Yelp and responds to my review. If she had all the facts (which she doesn't) she would not have commented. There were no unusual circumstances. I even asked the guy when he showed up where his machine was to dig out the dirt around the foundation. I was told that he can dig to China with his bare hands and I shouldn't worry and just go inside. So I did go inside and came out 2 hours later and the guy gave up (after removing my shrub and leaving it unplanted) and said it was too hard to dig that deep. So the hole he dug caused the leak to get worse and the owner wanted nothing to do with even apologizing for not listening to me about needing to dig deeper. The sales guy even measured inside to approximate the depth and agreed with me but directed me to the owner for the complaint. Then the owner threatened me if I leave a bad review! This is the USA and when poor service is delivered it is not only my right but my duty to let others know. Now I will clarify that this was not their "standard" service. I was not that concerned about the actual work but more the attitude of the owner and the treatment I received! And from the other reviews here it seems they are rude to many customers and it wasn't an isolated incident. read more

The previous owners hired Rightway Water proofing to install a french drain and two sump pumps in 2008. We have used them to service the system since we purchased the home a decade ago. We highly recommend them! Their equipment keep our basement dry and they keep everything running smoothly. read more

We had Al and his team repair our basement drainage more than two years ago and every time it rains, we are SOOOO thankful. We have never had a single issue with any of the work they did and it feels great not to panic every time rain falls. When we did have an issue, that turned out to be electric and NOT an error with Rightway, Al and two of his team were at our house in 20 minutes. We thought he was joking when he said how quick they would be here but 20 minutes later, a knock on our door. This service came more than 18 months after the job was completed, we were shocked at the level of customer service. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Our neighbors were so impressed that they hired them too! read more

Might be great company, but the contractors who came to the site to fix the wet basement issue, didn't do the professional job. Lot of mess that I have to clean up afterwards. Problem of leaking was fixed, but I got stressed out dealing with the workers who came on site. Check on life time warranty, sometime company may change their name and same place, same owner, but warranty is void. read more

Recently had Rightway install a system, sump pump and dehumidifier in my basement. Eric carefully walked me through everything that was required also involving Al the owner when required. After 32years of water issues my basement is completely dry I've seen installations by other companies and this is by far the neatest and most efficient. Highly recommended!! read more

Rightway did an excellent job on our basement waterproofing. All the work was professional and good quality. It's now been seven years and we had a problem with one of the sump pumps they installed. I called them yesterday and Al, the company owner came out personally and installed a new pump in under an hour. I wish everyone offered service this good. Highly recommended. read more

Al is an honest, stand-up guy. We had a great experience with both him and his workers. They installed a French drain system with primary and backup pumps in our basement 15 years ago. We had an issue recently because of a few serious storms and he was out to diagnose and repair quickly. I've recommended this company to many people, and will continue to do so. Can't say enough good things about them. read more

We had a wet basement and figured that with all the time we had at home, we might as well get it fixed. The guys at Rightway investigated the issue and explained what would need to be done. Within days of signing the contract, they were back on the scene getting it done the Rightway! After work was completed, the owner even came out to make sure we were happy with the end result. We were and now a year later, we never worry about melting snow or heavy rains because our basement stays dry. We had no intentions of finishing our basement, but because of Rightway we're changing our minds. read more

I would highly recommend Rightway Waterproofing. The owner, Al, came to our property and gave us an estimate. During the visit, he was very clear about explaining the waterproofing process. He also took the time to answer our questions both about the work and about financing options. Al was great with communication from the time we booked our first appointment until the work was completed. The workers who came to the house were prompt and professional. During the process, they noted a major issue with our property (that was not visible during the owner's visit) and explained the options that we had moving forward. Rightway took the extra time to fix the issue we had and made sure it was done correctly. It has rained a lot since the job has been finished and we have not had any issues with water in the basement. read more

This is an UPDATE to my original review. If you're interested in the epic backstory, it's available here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xdOdVfoniazj7YcqwV9VaIa6xAGoBrF-/view?usp=sharing My dad and I met today with the owner, Al. Another Rightway employee, Carolyn, was in attendance. Perhaps owing to the other people present, Al was much more polite and professional (e.g., he half-apologized for calling me a "f**king moron" and a "jerk-off"). To demonstrate that the system was functioning as it should, he hooked up a hose to the basement sink and put the other end inside the drainage tile lining the bottom of the basement wall. After approximately five minutes of running the sink, water began to trickle into the pit that, in our observation, had never been active since the system's installation. Whether or not this demonstration actually proves that the system is working properly, I'm not sure--we are at the mercy of Al's expertise. He theorized that maybe water was still appearing in that section of the basement because of a crack in the foundation floor. The floor is tiled, so the only way to identify if such a problem exists is to take up the tile. Al said that if we took up the tile, he would install another pipe to divert water from that area, free of charge. This is an interesting prospect, and one that we are considering, though he admitted that such an addition could have the unintended consequence of making that area more vulnerable to overflow. I'm adding a star to my previous rating due to the fact that somebody finally came out to investigate the system in person. Of course, one would expect that a customer who paid $7200 for services wouldn't have to fight so hard for a home visit if he was concerned there might be a problem with those services. read more

Very quick response to my request for service! Al came out the same day I called and replaced my sump pump and battery back up. He fit me in, even with his own personal prior engagement. Explained clearly what had been done and how to care for the new pump. Very happy with the service! read more

Al, Please speak to your partner and his daughter, I am sure they would remember my name. I spoke with him on a number of occasions, at least three, that I can think of. And it's funny that you've responded to this review since he blamed you for my problem saying the previous owner only wanted the basement dry for an open house and you quoted the job based on his needs and not necessarily correctly. He also told me you are no longer permitted to evaluate or quote these kinds of jobs. I tried to speak with you since it is your name on the warranty/contract, and that didn't happen. I stopped pursuing the issue with your company because if you didn't get it right the first time I had serious doubts about you getting it right the second time. We hired a great contractor to fully remediate the problem and no more water in the basement even in all this rain the last few weeks. Kathy read more

Unlike Kathy K., I had a good experience with this company. They did good work, were fair and flexible in the price. We waited six months to be sure the system worked before installing drywall and carpet -- just before the last piece of drywall went up we had a leak. It was a corner, the original work only covered the front wall and yet, they took ownership of the problem and installed new pipe three feet out onto the wall that was not part of the original scope. I recommend them! read more

Rightway was able to solve a huge water issue at our place in New Hope. We are close to the Delaware River and we had an underground stream running through the basement. Al spent so much time and effort to make sure the basement was dry and did extensive outside excavation. It's been several weeks and the basement is bone dry and doesn't smell anymore! Al and his crew are hardworking and miracle workers! Thank you for fixing our issue. I would recommend you to anyone that has water issues in their basement. read more

We had a very hard-to-fix problem with getting water in our garage and basement 9 years ago. We had at least 6 different companies come and give us ideas and estimates for the job. Al & Rightway were the only ones who seemed to give us a legitimate answer to the problem. They installed a drain and grate in front of our garage & a sump-pump inside the garage. The sump-pump worked up until last spring. When we called they said we had a lifetime warranty, so they came out and replaced it. (Not sure if they still offer this service). We did have to pay for a service call but the pump was free. This past Sunday, (after that horrific freezing-rain that caused many fatal accidents all around the area), the pump failed. (Luckily we have a back up pump leftover from before the other was installed; we used it by hooking our garden hose to it). My husband called today and set up an appointment for Wednesday. However, Al the owner, called later and said he was in the area & stopped by. He said the sump-pump in the garage was working, but the pipe hooked to it that ran outside the garage was frozen/clogged with ice. He was able to unclog it, and then rerouted the pipe at a different angle to prevent more freezing. Everyone we have dealt with at Rightway, has been courteous and prompt. Al especially knows what he is doing. read more

Had a great experience working with Al. I was given a fair price and the work started the following week. The job was finished ahead of time. Al gave some options to fix the problem but went with the complete overhaul. Very pleased with the results. Rich L. read more

I normally do not give 1 star reviews but to say we are disappointed is an understatement. We gave Al (owner) our business twice (most recently a week ago). Spent THOUSANDS of dollars. We discovered additional water issues after his guys extended our french drain. When my husband called to explain the situation and offer him even more business, he berated my husband and asked why this wasn't mentioned previously (we didn't know about it until after the fact). He gave my husband a hard time and said that he couldn't fit us in his schedule until 1/22. I called him back today and he said that he now can't fit us in until 2/4 and was extremely disrespectful and rude on the phone. My husband also tried to call back and see what else can be done ... he hung up on my husband. We even bought lunch for his workers last week and this is how we are treated. Hope no one experiences what we did. VERY DISAPPOINTING! read more

Rightway did my basement waterproofing in 2012 - 6 years ago - and it's been dry as a bone ever since, even dusty. Complete professionals from start to finish, and the price was lower than the 2 other estimates I got. Arrived on time with a 7-man crew, so the job was completed in one day. They completed the concrete floor work under my very heavy vintage soapstone sink by raising the sink off the floor with metal straps screwed into the wall. And that wasn't even in the original estimate, but they did it at no additional cost. A couple followups over the 6 years for sump pump issues also handled nicely. Highly recommend. read more

Right Way Waterproofing installed a pressure relief sump pump system in our basement and crawlspace in 2011. It was the best home investment I ever made. We used to take in a lot of water. We've been dry for 7 years. Right Way Waterproofing did what I thought could never be done. They follow up every year and service my system and respond quickly if I have any issues. They stand by their work and their work stands up. read more

We had a terrible experience with this company and want to make sure that others don't go through the same thing. They do poor work, demand more money, and don't honor their contracts. This is a highly unprofessional business that has no concept of customer service or satisfaction. After they "waterproofed" our basement we had to hire another contractor to fix the damage that they caused to our basement and do the waterproofing properly. Stay away from this company! read more

Owner of the company very unprofessional, childish and arrogant. When I had to complain about water in my basement after the work was finished two years ago, he was yelling at me on the phone, and said I need to install and extra pump, fact that was not mentioned when they gave me the estimate for the work. He hanged up on me two times. Do not recommend! read more

We had a great experience with Al. Although we chose not to repair anything, he did come out quickly, explained how everything would work, gave us options (our house was under contract and we chose not to fix it), had comparable pricing, was nice and thorough, and was willing to come back out if we changed our minds. He also called later to check in on us. He was very nice and would use him if needed. read more

I have had work done in two houses by this company. Both times, the owner came out, inspected and then provided real solutions at a great price. But that's just half the story. Then when it came to the work, his teams were even better. Delivering quality service and explaining every step. Its never easy having your basement dug up or work to that magnitude, but they were clean and fast and very helpful. You can't do better! read more

We thought we had our basement waterproofed 20 years ago but after years of flooding and mess we found the basement system we had purchased just sat on the footing and didn't address the ground water problem. After extensive research we happily found Al and his team who not only solved all of our water problems and got our basement clear of the 20+ years of trapped water and iron ochre but anticipated and addressed all of my husbands concerns including power failure and maintenance. If you have water problems this company is the only place to call. read more

Rightway did 2 jobs in our basement and we are very satisfied with their work. Andy was very professional and accommodating to our needs. Rightway solved our water problem in our basement. I would highly recommend them. They are very responsive and courteous.

After having a highly advertised competitor give me an outrageous estimate for a water problem in my basement, I called Rightway for a second opinion. That was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Rightway arrived promptly, diagnosed the main cause and resolved my issue at a reasonable price. I found them to be thorough, informative and most of all, honest. I highly recommend Rightway! read more

I had a great experience when I hired this company to waterproof my basement. But, when I needed them for a problem my experience was a 360 degree difference. So, if you want to have someone do your waterproofing but not help with an issue this is your company. I came home to beeping from my pump. I did not know what was wrong so I called the number at 4:45 pm. Was told the company was open till 5 and if I had an issue to follow the process for emergency. I did just that. About 1 hour later someone returned my call but I had just stepped out to the store. When I got back 15 mins later I called the person and the person said he could not hear me but would call back. At 8:30 I called again and it went right to voice mail . In the meantime I called the maker of the pump who instructed how to fix the initial problem. I called at 9:45 and left my work number and cell phone number for someone to call me the next morning. At 10 the person called (I was in bed) and the person who answered said I had left a message on their machine and was not sure how nice it was to which the man said if it was not nice that is the service she will get. The message was fine I am a professional unlike this company. I called the next day and was told no one could speak to me but they could come out 2 days later. I was told I was dealing with Al G the owner. Well, I called someone else who came right out and in less than 1 hour all was fixed. Other reviews say the owner is rude well I can not say that since he never gave me the courtesy of speaking to me. I have never in over 50 years been treated this way and this is my first negative review I have ever written but I do not want this to happen to anyone else.
