On moving day, four men arrived smiling and ready to go. They introduced themselves and off they went. They worked quickly and efficiently but were pleasant and friendly every step of the way. I needed to store my household over night and have my furniture and boxes delivered to the new house the next day after closing. When I arrived at the new house, they were there waiting for me. As they were unloading, they regularly checked in with me to ask where I wanted things and if I was undecided, they were patient and gave me a few minutes to decide. They also paid attention to how the boxes were labeled and got them into the right rooms. This made unpacking much easier for me since I didn't need to resort boxes after they left. Given how stressful moving can be, these folks made it as easy as they could.

The two staff people I spoke with about this claimed to be working on it and blamed refreezing every night for negating their attempts to clear the ice off during the day. After being told that they were going to work on my unit specifically with sale and digging that day, I visited several hours later and found that nothing had been done. This is simply unacceptable...I am contacting their national headquarters and also speaking with local town authorities in Amherst to see if there are legal steps that can be taken.

However the second I stepped into Absolute Self Storage in Milford, NH, I knew I had found the absolute right place! The Building is very Unique, and having the option of heated versus non heated units was definitely a necessity. As well as knowing that everything was very secure and under surveillance made my decision an easy one. Not to mention the Super cool old fashion freight elevator with it's iron grates. (add's a kinda James Bond character feeling to the place) :) Not to mention the owner Chris is such a kind man to work with. After checking out other reputable storage locations around the same area of Merrimack, we settled on Synergy because of the high quality of their location, the straightforward and easy set up, and the helpful guidance from the staff. I've interacted with both the owners over multiple visits (apologies I've forgotten your names) but they were both helpful and take their business seriously. I've spoken to at least one employee of theirs as well, and she was just as helpful and very polite/friendly. The climate control meant we didn't have to worry about some valuables or delicate items in storage. The high level of security meant we never worried about anyone trying to tamper or break into our unit. And the professionalism of the business meant we never stressed getting overcharged. The original unit was completely empty, no lock, clearly vacated. I ended up being about 24 hours late in canceling before the next billing cycle, and they charged me for a full additional month anyway. What made it worse was that I received both a bill for the next month and a vacancy notice at the same time, acknowledging the unit was already empty. When I asked about a refund or even a prorated credit, I was told there was nothing they could do. Their reasoning was that they only issue credits to accounts, and since the new unit is under my girlfriend's name, they wouldn't transfer anything over. To add to the frustration, they also shut off my access code despite charging me for that extra month. It felt like policy mattered more than common sense or customer loyalty. After nearly a decade of doing business here, I expected a more reasonable and customer focused response. Also the security gate has been broken for almost a year now and they continue to lie about when its getting fixed.
