I have no words that could truly express how amazing Mariela is and how hard she works and how good she makes Public Storage look. I had my storage unit for nine years. All I can say is, God has placed here in that location in Manchester, New Hampshire. Nine grueling years that i made that payment every month, despite numerous tragedies and things that happened...I made it every month b/c of the beloved pictures and writings in there. Nobody ever misses their furniture or old mildewy clothes. But it was the pictures that were are worth more than a million dollars to me. The only thing worth more than a million dollars to me are great and truly compassionate service. Mariela embodies that through who she is and the service she provides. And it was not just me that she provides the amazing service to; It is EVERYONE that walks through the door. She is worlds apart from the service just a few years ago. This review is long overdue; and for that I am sorry. I just want to let Mariela know that if it was not for her and her help while I was going through my unit and letting me use the restroom to wash my hands and being so kind to those coming in to help me, I would not have made it. Mariela is truly loving and sweet and is the consummate people person. She is amazing and I am a better person for having met her. I saw how she treated prospective and new customers and she had the same compassionate service and care with all of them. Public Storage CORPORATE: PLEASE REWARD HER. Paid $98 month fore two units each. After three months, one was raised to $220 a month the other $155 a month not including insurance.

There is absolutely nothing to consider about this place. Indoor climate controlled storage does not mean that your things will be safe with prime storage on S. Willow St. I had a unit at the Derry, New Hampshire prime storage and it was one of the best experiences I thought I was gonna have the same thing, but I should've known better coming to Manchester. The first mishap I had was when I was initially reserving and paying for my unit online and one of the employees decided to call me and tell me that I had to do it over the phone. This resulted in me getting charged twice for my first month, that was supposed to be free, I did end up getting I'm free and the extra charge was just applied to my next months rent. I've had a unit for probably six months and I still can't pay it online because they say I don't have a unit with them. Definitely don't go walking around because you're going to realize how disgusting the place is... between dead mice, animal droppings, and pure laziness on the employees behalf, the facility looks as though it has never been swept or even walked through. For the price I pay monthly, I should not have mouse droppings INSIDE my unit. I should not see the same trash and filth in the hallways. And damn! I SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE A CART WHENEVER I WANT FOR MY CONVENIENCE. If you can't trust your customers, the people that pay the employees, then you shouldn't be in this type of business. GO RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO U-HAUL IF YOU WANT LEGIT CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY HAVE CARTS AND MATTRESS CARTS AVAILABLE ALL HOURS. THEY HAVE 24HR ACCESS. AND BRITTANY, THE STORAGE MANAGER IS THE BEST. The female that works for Prime Storage with the long, straight, dark hair is a b****. I've worked in customer service for a long time and no matter how much my life sucked or I hated my job, I NEVER gave the customers attitude because I wasn't doing my job efficiently. Giving me a snot attitude when I am upset and I bring something to your attention is a good example of what NOT to do. I currently rent a storage unit in Raymond NH. They don't allow anything with an engine. I also pay storage for my motorcycle in the winter. I went to Public storage and got a unit that's three times the size of my old unit. Public storage will let me store my bike in my unit. And the kicker is that my new unit is four dollars less than my old unit. Any questions? ? ? read more

This place is gross. I only had my stuff there 2 months & when I moved out this week all my stuff was infested with stink bugs/beetles. I have had many storage units & never had them infested with bugs. Especially after only being there 2 months. And on top of it they just sent me an email trying to charge me until March 31st for the unit even thou I moved out on the 8th of February. read more

This place is downhill all the way since we first used it in 2001. We needed a storage unit again in 2016 as we closed the business. Our initial rate after the initial offer was $144.00 per month for first 5 months. It then went to $169.00 for a year - THEN it went up AGAIN to $182.00 For a year the Gate security did not work! The yard looks terrible and 2 BIG Dumpsters litter the lot. The entire place looks like it is falling apart and no one cares anymore. Got an offer from Bluebird that they would pick our stuff up for FREE and move it to their facility. Finally have more competition around at better prices and service. We will be moving asap! read more

If this would let me rate this a Zero I would. Lock was cut when I went to clean out my unit and they had their own lock on it. They said they needed to "inventory" Even after I made cash payment at the office I never got credits for. The price went up disgustingly on My unit. Once I moved everything out (Broken foot board which I also took pictures of) I was missing .... 6 Signed Bobby Orr pieces - Priceless 4 un replaceable hand crafted stained glass pieces made by my Father in-Law - Priceless my whole cookware set - $200.00 My whole dishware set - $150.00 Various collectible pieces of art work that can't be replaced - Priceless Heirlooms - 5 missing valued over $1000.00 Broken Foot board to a bed no longer in production Then to top it off.... The guy at the counter was rude, condescending, said there was nothing that could be done. He spoke to me like I had no clue in life. I might be in Management ya know and I do have a clue. When he came to my unit to unlock it, he quickly left. I have documented proof of me experience, I took a picture of the cut lock on the floor. I am pretty confident they stole my belongings but the "employee" (Punk) told me I couldn't do anything and I didn't have insurance (Which I was paying for in the disgustingly huge price jumps) and he wouldn't even listen to me when I asked why my stuff was inventoried. This was the most miserable experience I have had, My girlfriend (fiance) has been in tears off and on since as we have been looking to replace our things for our new home. This company is disturbing. I sent an email to them and asked for someone to call me to no answer what so ever. I also stated if they didn't reach me or attempt to reach out by Sunday I would begin the review process online. Still nothing........ This business is Horrible and I will also be filing with the better business bureau. I have NEVER seen anything like this or ever had my stuff stolen from storage. Due to a banking maintenance notice for a Saturday, I decided to come in to Public Storage a day early, about a half hour before closing time on a Friday evening to avoid any glitches. Nicole, the front desk associate, was kind (it was pouring rain), thorough, and unflappable, as six additional customers came into the office during our transaction. Whether it was paying past rent, current rent or answering questions, she remained nicely professional. I was informed, signed in and loaded into my unit in less than that half-hour without feeling rushed or ignored. Unit was very clean, facility itself very clean, safe, easy to navigate. STAY AWAY. There is NO $1 dollar a month. With insurance and special lock prices, I paid $53.00. Wish I never left Extra storage. They have insurance too but they never increased rates or called to remind me to pay with a threat if late. HORRIBLE place. BEWARE - NEVER EVER STORE YOUR THINGS HERE IF YOU EVER WANT TO EVER THEM AGAIN. Public Storage sold every belonging I (and my kids) had. I am a single mother of 2 beautiful kids. In April, I lost my job of 15 years. Shortly after, I lost my home. I moved all of my things and all of my children's things into a storage unit at Public Storage. Trying to keep up the payments was difficult since I'd been denied unemployment, but I did my best, making all payments on time, with the exception of the second month, which means I was always one month behind. On November 6th I visited Public Storage to make a payment of $165+. With Thanksgiving and the long weekend, and Christmas right around the corner I forgot to stop in on Monday (11/30) to make the payment. On Tuesday, December 1st, Public Storage auctioned off my unit. They sold all of my belongings, my personal things and my children's personal things. My children's memories and my deceased grandparents mementos. Everything I have worked so hard for over the past 10 years since starting over as a single parent they just sold off with nothing but a couple of phone calls, which I was never there to receive because I recently started working at a new job. I called on Wednesday when I remembered that I had to go see them, and when no one answered I left a message letting them know I'd be there on Friday. On Thursday I got a call back, where the girl let me know that they'd auctioned off my unit. Her exact words were "I don't know if you got the letter yet..." No, thank you. I haven't gotten a letter. And in LESS THAN 30 DAYS since the last time I came in to pay you auctioned off my unit? With nothing but a couple of phone calls? I went in every month faithfully, conversed with the guy that worked there, and what? You were worried I'd default? I had told him that everything I owned was in that unit and that there was no way I would let anything happen to it. Now I called back and asked the girl to please pass my contact information on to the person that bought it so I could try to buy my things back, even if it meant tripling what he paid for the unit, but I doubt she actually passed it to the buyer. My whole life came crashing down as I sat there in the rain on Thursday, thinking of everything I had just lost. Everything my children just lost. Everything we've ever had was in that unit, and here it is just weeks before Christmas and I have to tell my kids they just lost everything. Way to go Public Storage. read more

Public Storage used tricky, vague fine print to redact a first month special advertised on their website, when I first got my storage unit. The past 4 months the location I'm at hasn't had a functioning gate. Allegedly, they have one by now but I haven't drove by to see. The door to the hallway w/ my storage unit didnt properly close until just recently. And now they're raising their rates on me. Im cleaning out my unit tomorrow night. read more

Sorry to hear about Chris B.'s bad experience, but mine has been the exact opposite. Over the last few years I've been a repeat customer. The first time I looked at storage units, I spent hours price shopping all the companies in the area. The second time I didn't even bother looking at any other company; I went straight back to Public Storage based on -first & foremost- excellent customer service. All the staff are good, but two employee's in particular always go above & beyond; Wendy & Eric. I'm unfortunately not as organized as I'd like; so I'm the customer who repeatedly shows up without my access code, most likely when it's pouring rain & it's 10 minutes before closing. They still are always are helpful, friendly and customer focused. I'd highly recommend this company & location. read more

Customer service was excellent, mistake made in billing and captured immediately with a follow up call from storage and rectified. HONESTY! I was supposed to help my sister( who is disabled), get her car into winter storage today.I had made several Attempts to conform that the unit I was receiving would fit our mid sized Sedan. After getting there, and taking well over almost 1.5 to do paper work, we finally went to put the car in. Long behold it did not even come close to being able to fit.there was close to 2 feet that just hung out of the garage. After reporting back very politely and patiently to the office, the girl acted frustrated.They had no right to be frustrated with me considering they were asked several times if the vehicle will fit.The laziness of that was really annoying and we ended up wasting a while afternoon there. Then they tried to offer us a 204.00 a month spot acting like it was a deal. Oh yeah, great deal...hell no I am all set.....I will never go back there or recommend them to anyone......seems like other reviews were also negative.... read more

We have rented space at this site many times over many years, small spaces to large. The office staff are knowledgeable and helpful when setting up the rental, and on arrival, the check-in process is organized and fast. The yard is clean and secure. The units have always been completely clean with no evidence of critters. We have stored a car in the past and it is important to know the size of your car when renting a unit! Our car fit perfectly in the space recommended by the Office staff. The location is also excellent, very close to the airport. I recommend this space for anyone needing space near the Manchester airport and highway. Thank you to the office staff for their help with our most recent storage project. Stay away from this company. They are all about getting you in the door and then they will nickel and dime you all the way out the door. They raise your rate each year, push products like locks and insurance and basically treat you like there own personal cash machine. On top of all that, check this out. If you leave on the 2nd day of the month and are on auto pay to make sure they get there money on time and avoid huge late fees and the extra LOCK on the door. They will not pro rate your rent for the month if you leave on day 2 of the month. No refund for the other 28 days. This is flat out stealing from your clients, since they are fully capable of renting out the unit and getting paid twice on the same storage unit in one month. Incredible, if you play the stock market sell short on this company they will not do well in the long run. Look for a local storage company and stay away from the Public Storage thieves. read more
