For Storage, and Moving - FORTIN Storage is the one! We…read moreneeded to move from a condo, to inlaw's, to a new home over a six week peroid. We looked at PODS and Page St. storage. PODS is a common household name and I have friends who have used them. BUT they are pricey and require you to buy their insurance. FORTIN had the right size storage container, 20 foot, which had a place to put two of our own locks and were the only place which allowed us to move the container while it was full! They have a specialized crane truck which lifts the container straight up and down and and side to side. The driver was highly skilled, getting the container on and off between a condo and parking light and then between a bunch of trees and close to our new door. They were easy and fantastic to work with. They also provide storage for $1/day !!! The cost was so much less than PODS when we were done, and they are a local business. When the closing on our house was made, we had about 2 hours notice. We called Fortin to see if they could deliver our container that afternoon... At first they were booked, but when their schedule changed, they called us and let us know they could come. The 20 foot container is very clean and has hardwood floors. They have several versions of container, including one for vehicles, tools, construction sites and also the type for home movers - clean, sealed tight, no animals and no clearing the snow off the top!! We HIGHLY recommend their storage service. For long term or short term, they are far better than PODS.

Willow St. I had a unit at the Derry, New Hampshire prime storage and it was one of the best experiences I thought I was gonna have the same thing, but I should've known better coming to Manchester. The first mishap I had was when I was initially reserving and paying for my unit online and one of the employees decided to call me and tell me that I had to do it over the phone. This resulted in me getting charged twice for my first month, that was supposed to be free, I did end up getting I'm free and the extra charge was just applied to my next months rent. I've had a unit for probably six months and I still can't pay it online because they say I don't have a unit with them. Definitely don't go walking around because you're going to realize how disgusting the place is... between dead mice, animal droppings, and pure laziness on the employees behalf, the facility looks as though it has never been swept or even walked through. For the price I pay monthly, I should not have mouse droppings INSIDE my unit. I should not see the same trash and filth in the hallways. And damn! I SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE A CART WHENEVER I WANT FOR MY CONVENIENCE. If you can't trust your customers, the people that pay the employees, then you shouldn't be in this type of business. GO RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO U-HAUL IF YOU WANT LEGIT CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY HAVE CARTS AND MATTRESS CARTS AVAILABLE ALL HOURS. THEY HAVE 24HR ACCESS. AND BRITTANY, THE STORAGE MANAGER IS THE BEST. I've worked in customer service for a long time and no matter how much my life sucked or I hated my job, I NEVER gave the customers attitude because I wasn't doing my job efficiently. The building and units are climate controlled so if you are storing items that you care about it is well worth the money. My unit never had mold or spiders in it. Janice is very customer service focused and a pleasure to deal with. I no longer needed my storage unit so I had moved my items out over the weekend. Janice called me on Monday to tell me that she had noticed my unit was empty. I told her that I would be by to sweep out the unit and fill out paperwork and she said no need to do that. She would take care of everything and that I was all set. How about that for customer service! I highly recommend this business.

I was having bad reception and couldn't hear him when I picked up so I asked if I was talking to Derry Self Storage and he said, "Yes, sadly we're still open for business." It made me laugh and he gave me the information about the gate times. The place is nice and clean. Yvette won't be that annoying sales person that tries to upsell you in the storage you need or try to get you to buy mattress protectors if you don't want one. I highly suggest this storage, they are doing everything right as a business.
