I come from the food industry and understand mistakes happen, so I called to let them know about the cold mistake. The girl who picked up was nice enough and told me that they will credit me and next time to just let them know...no problem, kind of weird that they didn't send out another pizza or even offer, but no problem, next pizza is free. That brings us to today, long day, Hey, why not order that free pizza. We call, before ordering remind them of the pizza credit and then place our order for the exact same pizza we were supposed to get last time (that was paid for in full, plus tip) to which they responded that the order wasn't enough.....Huh? They then said that I have to buy a min. of $13 before tax in order for them to deliver my pizza (that was already paid for, plus tip) At this point I was getting annoyed but tried to understand...I've already paid them for an order that was wrong and cold and in order for them to correct their mistake, I needed to pay more money? To witch I was told "that's the way it works!" Flabbergasted, I explained that in my life in the service industry, I have never even herd of this an that I don't think that that is in fact the way it does work. Her response was quick and unjust, she hung up on me. I must have ordered from there hundreds of times over the years, but I don't think I ever will again. I don't know if this is all very fresh or not, but what they did almost feels illegal. In a time when food insecurity is at an all time high and people are struggling to make ends meet, this business is charging customers for their mistakes. This type of behaviour should not be tolerated.
